This team reminds me of the side that got relegated from the premier league. A lot of journeymen, plodders. No pace or creativity. We're not playing against Barcelona every week! A bit of pace would be a massive asset in this standard and we haven't got it. We need a threat on the break when we are up against it. Bring back poleon and give Ryan hall a game!!

Believable17 Unbelievable11

Robinson, Kelly, Harte, Radebe, Matteo, Camara, Roque junior(not the best lol) Domi and Duberry, Bakke, Barmby, Batty(didnt get used) Lennon, Milner, Pennant, Morris, Bridges, Smith and Viduka. now I dont know what Leeds side you have been watching this year but non of them remind me of any of these players lol

Agree15 Disagree0

Sorry, can t agree with you here. Although, yes, we all agree that we need more pace and creativity, let's put this in perspective. A couple of poor performances, yet we ve come away with a win and 2 draws. This is actually a very positive sign. This is what good teams do. They grind out results when not playing their best. Don t forget a lot of these players are new. They re still gelling. We also had a few players out or resting. I m not sure what you expect, champagne football every game?
The comparison to our relegated premier league team makes no sense. Maybe you ve forgotten. We actually had some really good players. Viduka, Robinson, Smith, Matteo etc... It s just they d lost the desire. Too much money, too little spirit and they could sense the downward spiral of financial troubles. I d say we re the opposite at the moment. Some pretty average players who are mostly wiling to run through a brick wall for the club, fans and manager (Pearce, Becchio, Rudy. Lees. Bryam

Agree11 Disagree1

Sorry Ed, accidentally pressed send...
We ve got some financial stability, with the imminent possibility of further investment, so stop getting on the players and manages back. Show some support, have some faith. I d say we re on a hell of a lot healthier position both on and off the pitch to when we were relegated from the premiership.
Jonny

Agree10 Disagree3

I said before it seems more like the team relegated from the championship. one or two good at this level, the rest just journeymen,

Agree1 Disagree6

Nine of that lot above are the reason we got relegated. JD

I know we are 7th and doing well but for some reason i still feel sad :( probley cause of the friggin takeover :( I don't know, sad times :( also you could take all the barca players put them in a leeds shirt and sign them and they still wouldn't be able to pass. :(

Believable10 Unbelievable2

We've only lost as many league games as the top 2.Scoring goals to win games is the main problem and after watching last nights game it won't be resolved to soon.

My previous post (not posted Ed?)_
about trouble between Ajax and Man
City fans tonight was meant to
demonstrate that it's not always
us. I honestly think we are more
sinned against than sinning
although if Mr. Cawley has
scuppered our take over hopes I
will never ever forgive him. And
as for Arsene's carbon footprint -
what's wrong with the M11 like
everyone else? {Ed013's Note - It didn't get to me}

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Weird. I was trying to point out that it is not only us who keep copping it. Manchester City now seem in a spot of bother with their fans at Ajax and Arsenal FLEW to Norwich last weekend! (Time was when we would have flown to the Emirates and played Ajax at ER how circumstances have changed. We will be back please God. Oh and Arsenal are a goal behind ....)

i like how some fans are getting so agitated, it was a low league attendence game against Charlton who cant have brought many, on a Tuesday night, why the massive shock? Tuesday night attendences are always lower in the lower divisions, especially with our record on them

its a marathon not a sprint, i expect us to be well in the race for them play-off spots or even promotion

My match description from last night Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Oh the linesman's flag fell off, and Varney must have had a bet on himself pre match on how many times he could pass the ball out of play. Roll on the takeover and some much needed squad re-building.

Theres speculation that tumbleweed is passing through the Leicester rumours site due to no one caring about them. Although its not confirmed as no goes there.
I also heard that in Leicester they'll upgrade your brain and give you 2 more brain cells, yes a WHOLE 2 MORE (which is one more than all the people of Leicester have) by removing your current pea size brain and inserting an out of date half time pie from Elland road (apparently the bacteria have reached new levels of intelligence, the likes of which Leicester are missing) lol.
Someone had to :)

Agree10 Disagree1

Why would Leeds fans be interested in Leicester? The amount of money spent is ridiculous, and guess what, it's only October.

So we have the lowest home gate since 2004, a poor performance and Leeds outside the playoff places. Does it occur to Bates that values can go down as well as up and if this cycle continues (and what's to say it won't) the club's selling price may fall - even nosedive - as prospects for even a chance of Premier League football next season fade from view.

Nasty things could happen to his pension pot. Attractive though such a thought is, it would be better for the club if he took his cue to naff off sooner rather than later. So take the hint Bates! The exits are clearly marked.

Believable9 Unbelievable3

Its one game!!!!

Agree2 Disagree5

It's not one game though. We've somehow scraped 5 points from 3 games when we deserved none.

We've been poor since Warnock came and a few good results doesn't mask the lack of quality in the team and the manager's over reliance on muscle and long ball.

I think last nights performance is down to a bit of hangover after the events of Friday night, players flat, crowd flat and so, little atmosphere. It is a pity though as that was a game for the taking if only the team had got going. I have to say, I am a little worried about Saturday, the brums aren t great but if we dont get at them from the begining we ll struggle. On another note, I noticed in the daily 'shun' that on last nights match report theres a 'Leeds fans watch' piece reporting on our behaviour, are you serious ? Now my bloods boiling again. Will sheff wed also have a fans watch to see how they behave ? I dont think so, what about millwall or sunderland ? No just Leeds. Dont get me wrong, the d**ks on the pitch on Friday need erased but a few out of five thousand, this is unbelieveable treatment. And as for dave jones, I used to like him, but not now, he says he s upset because of what was being said about him, NW was barraged all night and not a word from him, but more importantly and this has been bothering me from last week, the turkish related chants from the wed fans nearly made me sick. Did you hear those dave? No course you didn t. MOT more than ever. IrishWhite

Where the hell is Somma when we needs him. Surely he should be at least playing some reserve games by now. It's getting beyond a joke he was supposed to be running for some weeks now. Where to around the bl**dy world. Angry today that we aren't getting some more points on board and moving right up that table.

Very poor last night. Some players out and others having to play out of position eg White. Problem for the most part is we dont play the ball through midfield or wide. More often than not it is a couple of passes at the back if you are lucky and then a punt up field in the hope that the ball might somehow break to one of our players who has managed to get into an enhanced position. No wonder Becchio is struggling at the moment.oor last night

Believable9 Unbelievable1

I agree, very poor play, very poor crowd. No atmosphere at all. Is this a hangover from last friday? I hope it improves for saturday on both counts.
As for the long ball punt and run tactics, we seem to always do this when we run out of other ideas. Last night we ran out of ideas after only ten minutes!!
M

Agree6 Disagree1

What I can't understand is Ryan Hall has been bought in as a winger with great potential, hopefully to put the ball on Becchio's head but he's not even got on the pitch!

Agree11 Disagree0

Stop complaining ,with the squad we have available we are doing great ,2 wins off the top, but some people are never happy unless they have something to moan about

Agree3 Disagree6

He's not fully fit as he's not played all season. He's trained alone at Southend, after a fall out with their management. We need to see him sooner rather than lately...Pace urgently required & some supply for Becchio...

Agree2 Disagree1

Surely no-one can be happy about the style of play/tactics at the moment it's dire.

Agree4 Disagree0

Were not Barca, Warnocks football isnt exciting, but it makes us VERY hard to beat, i cant have any complaints, id take less exciting football if it equals points anyday rather than try be like Barca and get caught on counter attacks

Agree6 Disagree2

I was scratching my head over this same question last night. The game was slow and poor quality. If Hall is supposed to be the lighting fast winger rumour says he is why didnt Neil give him a go. He couldve made a bit of a name for himself last night.

Not the greatest of performances last night but it was a good point considering the chances they had late on. Shame the atmosphere was flat last night, the team never started and neither did us fans due to the start from the players, at Elland Road the team and crowd bounce off each other, if the fans perform the players will and vice versa! Last night the players seemed to negative, we had pace on the wings and it didn't get used, the time it did we created chances and we got a goal due to the attack starting on he wings. Not liking the fact the defence use Kenny too much, he's a goal keeper and his only real contribution should be with his hands, the ball shouldn't need to be passed back to him all the time, the players need to be more positive and move the ball forward a lot quicker, the best form of defence is attack, and Leeds don't do it enough! Luckily for the second game in 5 days the teams around us have slipped up and dropped points which has let us still be within touching difference! Wish we had got Dj Campbell when he was available, we lack pace up front and he can finish to would have been a good signing! Bring on Birmigham and hopefully a massive 3 points! Keep the faith PickersLUFC

What a shambles I've been a Leeds fan for 50 years so I have seen quite a few games but for me Leeds are playing some of the poorest football I have witnessed , people are saying we need McCormack back yes he will help but will he make Leeds players pass to Leeds players not the opposition also will he make them keep the ball and not lose possession so cheaply will he stop defenders just hoofing the ball hopefully up field and when he comes back let's hope he mahes the oppositions goalie the most overworked player on the pitch as with current performances there goalie could sit in the stands and it wouldn't make a difference to the outcome now come on be brave and disagree with me

Believable10 Unbelievable3

We need to start controlling the game with simple passes rather than hit and hope . all game the ball goes back to kenny for a long kick .poor style of play brought by a poor manager . dont know how hes got 7 promotions .doesn't make him the best manager at this level really his stats must be quite poor really with yrs managed to promotions gained

Agree3 Disagree4

Its all down to quality,we just havent enough of it.need at least a couple of quality experienced players.too many other teams have quality and we have done very well to be where we are,,but it wont last without reinforcements...shrew leeds

Went last night and my observations were. In my opinion its down to the players,. especially at home to start well at a tempo and give the crowd something of a lift. The game started like a pre season friendly. The football we played was awful to say the least. No passing, no pace and no thought from the players who were treating the ball like a hot potato. Getting rid as soon as possible.
Diouf apart we are desperate for some creativity and we also needed some pace.
I thought hall should have been given 20 minutes to see what he can do. and please please please mr warnock do not pick luke varney to play for us again.

We, as a club, have a large amount of one dimensional supporters who, when I read their comments wonder if they even know the game at all. The number of posts slagging the players and even NW is unbelievable. Why do some supporters not look at the bigger picture?...

We have our two potentially most influential players out injured in Ross and Austin, we also rested some 1st team players last night including our captain and also give some credit to Charlton. I think some people think just because there down at the wrong end of the table its a given that were gonna win which is not always the case. Hudds were poor last night, got hammered, Ipswich by what I hear played not too badly n got beat n yet some Leeds fans are slagging the team off after an hour of a game we played not our best but still picked up a point!

Don't get me wrong, our performance last night was well below our best, pretty subdued. But 6 league matches unbeaten whilst playing poor and hovering around the playoffs is far from a bad position to be in. Also, there were games last season, similar to last night where we would of crumbled and got beat which is also a slight positive!

I check this site less and less now because all it is, is a site for Leeds fans to feel the need to moan and constantly be negative! Stay positive, a win on Saturday and everyone will be dreaming of promotion again!...

Scot MOT!

Believable7 Unbelievable3

Charlton played pants but leeds didnt even turn up thats probably why ppl are moaning . they should at least attempt to play football rather than hit and hope becchio can control it. warnock way is crap style but if we get promoted then thats ok

Agree3 Disagree0

No it isnt about how long our unbeaten record is you could go unbeaten all season and most likely be in a relegation battle if you drew them all. 6 points out of a potential of 15 is mid table at best but we are playing back and atleast picking up some points i suppose. I am not worried yet i will be if we start losing a couple and playing this poorly but for now i wont jump on he bandwagon. But i refuse to say that we are not doing badly at the minute.

Agree0 Disagree0

Problem for the most part is we dont play the ball through midfield or wide. That was a fruatrating game to watch, Leeds spent a majority of the match playing long ball ,Charltons center halfs must have spent the coach trip home with ice packs on there heads after winning all those headers, even when Tonge and White came on the game plan stayed the same.Until McCormack is fit the team lacks pace and ideas up front.

I must say Sam byram looks worlds apart from the rest of the players (except diouf). The lad got in the right positions all night. It's a shame nobody passed him the ball instead they chose to pump it long. When he did get the ball he caused all sorts of trouble. Top player won't be with us long! Cm84
