Why would any young player in Taylor category go to Celtic. A joke of a league. It would show lack of guts and class imo. Playing in a proper league that has a competitive edge.

George that makes total sense! really agree! A garenteed champions medal and champions league football for the same wages as at Burnley! who wouldn't really to be honest. prem clubs keep tabs on players at all massive clubs, so it really wouldn't be long until he got his move.

I know it's early doors and there's still a very long way to go, but I do hope that we will address the defence too, as we are being linked with a lot of forwards and midfielders, which is great as options are what we need. Would feel a little bit more reassured if there was also talk of some defenders. please god don't make Us have to use cooper again! 😩

I agree. One thing Monk got right last season was the defence. Took a little bit of time, but even with Beradi playing on the left it had balance. Ayrling for me was the unsung hero and he could switch to CB and Beradi moving to his natural position. Still a couple of additions will be needed. Early days as you say

Looking like we won't be getting Bartley back but I think there are other options. Flint at Bristol City or Sean Morrison at Cardiff would be good signings with Cooper as back up. A cheeky bid for either Scott Malone at Fulham (doubt they'd sell) or Doherty at Wolves would replace Taylor. Still think getting Sean Raggett from my home town Lincoln would be a shrewd signing (scored the winner against Burnley) . He'll be a top player very soon and was rumoured to be interesting West Ham at £350K. MM

Do not think we will be getting many if any players from the English leagues. Just glad we are not sourcing from Italian leagues anymore by look of things. Will put my faith in Orta and Christ and see how we play in friendlies.

I can see us retaining Cooper but only as back-up utility. He ought to be 2nd choice LB and 4th choice CD. This means we need to recruit 2 central defenders and replacement for Taylor once we've taken care of our midfield and attack.

In fairness Aus he is only saying what most of us are thinking . It's a shame that we could not get Bark as he and Pilot worked well but I think Bige has it right and we will look at the foreign market.

Think Copper is a goal a game liability, so for me not worth keeping. If we are to push on, we can't afford the give away goals that cost us so dear end of last season. MOT

Wex not sure we would be buying many players from Juventus. They have a good defence though, Benatia, French. Sandro and Alves Brazilian and Lichtsteiner Swiss. My point was a lot of players in lesser teams in Italy are journeymen loaned out between teams, think Austrian or German leagues or even eastern europe have more hidden gems.
