Weird in it all midfielders central players. No stand out striker for ages either.

Erm could it be down to the bloke who's been in charge of the academy the last few years??

I heard he was keen on Morrison to help out in the academy as winger/striker coach!

Some people have no appreciation for what Redfearn did for LUFC last season. We would be in league one had it not been for him.

Sorry to keep harping on about the past but just think if we'd kept danny rose left back, byram right back, left wing miner, right wing lennon, Delph and cook in the middle, mowatt behind a striker, maybe howson on the bench. Fill in the gaps please with others that we've had that would have had us bang in top half of prem . that still play now . Interesting thought

You could add Howson, Garbutt and Carson

Thats why I harp on you buy quality in areas you are short to ensure your young talent stays. If you want to sell a home grown youngster at that point you can with higher profit and guess what you might just be in the premier league or worst off fighting for a play off spot each season. However, the opposite (failure to recruit well) equals no contract extensions, greedy agents and the likes of Garbutt, Johnson, Howson, Snodgrass, Rose, Lennon and Delph all plying their trade higher up. Same situation will exist yet again in 2 years time if no decent attacking players are purchased. Over to Cellino

Bamba signed up now will we ever get the wingers we so dearly need? And yes I know both Byram & Taylor can play in this position but they are not proper out and out wingers. Wish Gradel could come back. MOT

Gradel has been valued (reportedly) by his club at 10mil euros. So no chance there.
I think Miyachi and Wright Philips might be options as both have been released, but you never know with MC. He might not sign any.

Confirmation at last that we have got Sol Bamba, a great signing IMO. A couple of wingers now and a proven striker and we should be able to challenge this year.
Looking forward to the new season things seem to be coming together on and off the pitch, lots of new "sensible" blood in club.
Confident now that even if Cellino gets a ban it will not affect the running of the club or team like last year.

Clayton Donaldson has said he would love to work with Rosler again. Anyone know much about him?

{Ed001's Note - big and quick but not as clinical as he should be. Though I haven't seen much of him since his Crewe days, so he could have found that clinical edge that we missing in recent years, I doubt it though.}
24 Jun 2015 11:04:42
Saw him against us twice last season and I was quite impressed. I'd say he is better than what we currently have.

He did well last season for Brum. Although Ed is right not a great finisher. Is a handful for defenders.

Ed, he got 16 goals last season in a poor Birmingham side. Can't be worse than what we have! If he's on the cheap (which I doubt) he may be good for us. Although creating chances is the major problem not taking them. Need creative wingers to help Alex mowatt

{Ed001's Note - maybe he has added that clinical edge he needed then? If so, then he would be a very good signing, in my opinion.}
24 Jun 2015 13:19:56
I suppose it depends how many chances it takes him to bury one.

IF the FL find MC to be dishonest again and ban him, and bearing in mind there are other cases against him to follow, isn't it time he did the honourable thing and move on. This only serves to further damage LUFC's reputation/imagine. Leadership has to come from the top and MC's way of conducting himself hardly sets a good example for UK football, our club and its fans. MC is far from up to the required standard imo.

If he was to stand down. how the f would step in. If it weren't for MC we would be gooonnne in my opinion. I dislike they way he behaves as much as the next guy, but fair dues to him, he has put his money on the line and stuck by us. Many others would have run a mile from the mess that he took over. I love the fact that he is his own man, sticks it to the FL as much as he can, and doesn't back down. He has pre-empted a banning by bringing in Pearson etc to run the club in his absence.
Lets get behind our club. that includes its owners.
we need 100% to March on Together.
