17,000 grand a week max i've been told. Cut our cloth accordingly.
We are punching way behind most other clubs. And not even clubs with parachute payments. Likes of Bristol are miles ahead.

Won't always be that way Corky. We will eventually offer higher wages. We are definitely recovering and moving in the right direction now.

Hopefully GM will run out his first eleven against Atalanta ready for the 7th. Good to see if all of Dallas, Wood, Cooper will start?

Good point leodis.
Personally i'd start all of them but wouldn't be too upset if Dallas didn't start.

It's a good job I keep my
"****** OUT" placard in the shed. Just keep changing the name.
Even came in handy for, Brexit and Corbyn.

Why are we stalling on signing Bridcutt, he is keen to join and why are being balking at a fee in the region of 1.5 million at that price after the way he played last season that is a steal. We paid his wages last year so the wage should not know what his wage demands would be. Let's get the transfer done.

I've got a theory Shag.
Because we know what Bridcutt gives us and because he spent most of last season with us, it means we don't need to get him too soon, like you would a new lower league player, to give him time to fit in.
Therefore Cellino will hang on until the last minute trying to get him on the cheap, banking on the fact that Sunderland don't want him anyway.
If this is what Cellino is doing it is a dangerous game with other clubs sniffing around.

I'd say it's a case of Sunderland not sure if they want him gone maybe waiting on moyes decision.

We probably only paid a percentage of his wage last season, coupled with his transfer fee going up by the week.

Fly back to Georgy Birdcage.

That's just scuppered all our chances Georgie boy!

Hopefully not Speedyg. We also need another central defender fairly urgently. Someone with pace and quality. Those 2 signings and you've got to be happy with the business done in the transfer window.

Reported that Bridcutt''s wages are 27k per week at the Black Cats. Together with an ever increasing transfer fee might be the reasons behind the club not signing him yet.
Some huge negotiations required methinks.
I'd love to see him back but those wages are a massive stumbling block. MOT.

Who the eff is birdcage?

Agreed Speedo, we probably contributed about £14k per week to his wages last season, we can't get near his current wage and his transfer will depend on his demands and on Sunderland paying up his current contract.

Corky - birdcage is bridcutt.

Rumoured that Ekdal will be signed instead of Bridcutt, not a bad signing if true.

Darragh MacAnthony
is quoted as saying what Leeds team need after yesterdays matches

✔@DMAC102
Striker with pace, passing CB and 1 energetic Midfielder short of top 2 so close for sure imo

I would add maybe that no 10 creative striker is required as well . If we could get these in over the next week or two would be very very pleased, we are not that far away, just those 3 or 4 good additions . For what its worth for me I would reluctantly let C Taylor go if it gave us the funds to bring them in (and another left back replacement )

Sorry mate. You´re dreaming. Maybe one more signing. But not too bad all the same. Looks like Alex M and Kemar R can really contribute alongside with Antonsson and Wood. A Little bit worried over Wood. He as hard time fitting in into GMs way of playing. But he will make a strong sub.

I've read on some other websites that so called LU fans are starting to have a go at GM. Mainly for saying he knows how to peak a team after the p'boro game. Give the guy a chance, stop slating him, get real the season hasn't even started yet and it was only a friendly.
Thankfully I haven't seen any similar comments on here, proper fans on this site.

The team flagged after 60 mins and struggled after that however it was the first time this season the players have played more than 60 mins. The ability to make quality subs was also not there as some senior players had played at Guiseley. Pre-season is about building fitness therefore GM is on the right track however if I had one criticism is that we only have 1 friendly left to bring together the match day team/ squad. Given that we may be making a few signings this week could leave us disjointed. I hope not.

Still without Berra Coops and Dallas. and Woods to join. A good test despite losing. GM rules.

Don't be stupid BW we have to give him one more game to see if he's any good!
But if we don't beat Atalanta next week then it's time for him to go for me! 😉.
