It was pleasing to hear positive news coming out of er today regarding financial situation and positive future investments in players prior to next season . However my inly concern is this 20 million loan turned into shares via cellinos parent company that to me is still a debt now owed to them in the instance that a new buyer comes in? We now have two company's with fingers in a very shallow pie?

Great financial results today. It is now time to start putting on some better performances between now and the end of the season. Last nights attendance showed how unhappy the fans are with the performances of late and if MC is to continue with the team building the current squad of players must give the fans something to go back to Elland rd. MC and Evans must remember without the fans the club is worth nothing, let's use the time between now and the end of the season to experiment and you never know we might have a better team than Evans currently says he has.

Example Aunty Lucy appears to have no interest in playing for our great club and is merely seeing out the season before he returns to Italy in the summer for the life of me I cannot see why Evans is playing Aunty Lucy when in my opinion Erwin needs to have the opportunity to show what he can do.

Good post Shag
Just look how promising Coyle is looking. Give some of the lads who really want to play a chance.

Agree Shaggy and speedy, Coyley has the look of a certain Gary Kelly and if he follows in his footsteps, it won't be a bad thing eh? I think with a bit of work erwin can be a more mobile Lee Chapman Too! 😂 I think a carefully recruitment of 1 No nonsense experienced premier / championship CB, a skillful pacy creative No 10,who can chip in with 15 goals and a Charlie Austin type great in the air/ predator min 20 a season and possibly a better all round more experienced keeper than marco will be all we need next year.
Great to hear the club is officially financially sound despite some fans being slightly and understandably sceptical given the fact it's leeds United and also the unpredictable Massimo Cellino, I say give him and Big Boy another season to cement the improvements however slight they may seem to us mere mortal fans, peace fellow leeds sufferers 😎 Mot.

2 strikers, 2 wingers, an number 10 for in the hole and central defender . this would be my shopping list, as long as we keep all of our better players . goes to say if one of them leaves we will need a replacement for them also. the big problem is for too long we have been talking about all the wrong things . It would be far better if we were only talking about football i. e. team selection and winning matches, not all the negatives surrounding the club . Today the club have commented on the financial position and the next step, to improve the playing squad which is 2 very big positives Are there many here think we can finish top 10, that would be good and a better place to start next season from.

Do we know which firm of accountants audit the accounts? I recall suggestions in the past that the auditors may not have been wholly independent and that there may have been a connected party issue? But maybe they have now been changed.

I have been banging on about waiting for the p/ l report since a certain poster insists M C has no money .
We have cut losses down to 2m, had we have gone out and spent more could have ended up with transfer embargo .
The one thing I do believe all of us want to see Leeds back in the premier league, however we must remain stable .
I would like SE to be given the chance to clear out and sign players for next season .
I know results have not been great and we are in about the same place league wise, but hopefully we can get a couple of decent strikers for next season.

On first reading this looks like good news. However, further reading tell us that Elonara Sport put £19 million into the club and converted it to shares. Put simply they have loaned the club the money which means without that money we would have lost over £20 million. Add to that the Ross money and the fact we had a lower turnover and are now losing money because of low crowds the picture is not that rosy. The good news is that GFH have agreed to waver some of the "fees" they originally charged us. We will know in about a month's time when the end of year report is released what state the club is in.

and another thing - does anyone else click on any of the posts from HITC site? It proper does my head in with the amount of pop-ups. I've just clicked on a Leeds based news story and the site loads, then immediately the page is flooded with an advert with the option to close in the top right. Usually the advert disappears and you can read your story after having to wait a couple of seconds which is a pain in the ass but when you try and close the advert and it continues to take you to the linked advert's page, that is downright scandalous. Scandalous I tell ya!

Where's Mrs Mick when you need to give something a good kick?

You're right Mick, trouble is I'm easily influenced.
Every time you post something I go out and buy a motorbike, green and purple shell suit, a black helmet and false moustache! It is a false moustache isn't it? 😜.

What bugs me Mick is the big headlines followed by a couple of lines of a nothing story. I've not seen any of the sites on the pop up's that Mrs Mick says you constantly visit.

i know I do bang on a bit about mc and it must get on most people's wick but just read this

http://goo.gl/KIfzBe

the jist of it is For the year ending June 30 2015, the total club turnover was £24.4m - down from £25.3m and As a result of the work undertaken, the overall losses at the club have reduced significantly from £22.9m for the year ending 2014 to £2m for the year ending 2015. This represents a 91% reduction

now while some have grips with the man (and rightly so in a lot of cases) but this is impressive and a lot of hard work has gone into this.

it must make the club better option to buy/invest in and makes the club more stable. and while the football is not great to do this great work without losing our star gem players or selling grounds is impressive. also to do this while not going down or having a massive decline in results or squad is I think very very impressive

i do hope this might help apease some of the fans who are rightly moaning at the boring football being played and what the get rid of MC club would say to this.

NO the football at the moment is not setting world alight but at the same time we are holding our own and at least the club looks far more stable and has some sort of short and long term future.

You make a good point Scott Gutteridge, sorry I meant BW!

I agree it's very impressive that he's virtually wiped out the debt and we are now a financially stable club, which is a breath of fresh air considering our history over the last 10 years.

He does need to start investing in the team and now there's no excuse. I'll accept that he has had to get us on an even keel but I expect decent investment for next season.

24 Feb 2016 17:45:31
Correct BM, it made very interesting and surprising reading and hopefully now he will deliver on his promise to start investing on the playing front. It is immensely frustrating for supporters as we can't see what is going on in the background but hopefully this will show that although MC often struggles to control his mouth, he actually ain't a bad old stick really.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Feb 2016 17:59:22
i think mc has invested a decent amount just a lot of that has not really been great investment (wood classic example although I do think he will come good) . I agree the investment now needs to be upped slightly the regualar fans at ER have suffered enough this season. I am very impressed with the reading thought and it is far better than I hoped. I think we need to start going in the right direction now but I would be happy with slowly and surely rather than go for broke, which is handy because I don't think go for broke is MC's style.

impressed with my cutting and pasting Speedy you should see me speed type or stick man drawing skills.

Best headline of the year so far - 'I personally wrote his fitness plan' - Big Stevie promises an 'Evans Chris Wood'. Does that mean he'll have put five stone on over the last two months or maybe more?

Fair play to Stevie, he's a one man quote machine.

Well done to MC for reducing the the clubs looses for the year 14/ 15. The club is now on a sound financial footing, my only concern is if we are to build a team capable of challenging for promotion as Evans has promised MC will need to real ease the purse strings so Evans can put the team together he wants, I doubt he will give Evans the money it would take to get us challenging for promotion and I hope some of our young stars are not sold to finance a push for promotion as we definitely need to keep them. Well done MC-MOT.

On Yorkshire radio after the game last night Evans indicated MC will give him enough money to challenge for promotion next season. Evans has said only 60% of the current squad are not good enough, on that basis if I have done my maths correct that means Evans will be getting rid of 10 players and recruiting another 10, With MC's track record I can't see us recruiting 10 new players. I hope I am wrong.

He also indicated that there would be some good news in the next couple of days regarding finances for the club. Ed you you or anyone else know what this news is?

should imagine it would be to do with Parkin as that story seems to have a lot of legs and lots of rumours of it floating about be good if it was, I can say it has nothing to do with me as yet again I failed to win the lotto.

I do think for SE to come out and say this it must be agreed in principle as if not it will make MC look very silly and he will not stand for that unless SE says he failed in the market and don't think SE would put himself up there to be shot down (i hope anyway)

MC has brought a lot of players to the club so to see him bring 7-10 players in would not surprise me in any way it is just they have not always been of the best quality but SE seems to have a good eye so if this turns out to be true (which if it ain't the SE is a massive idiot literally) then maybe just maybe good times are around the corner.

no one leeds I hope you do not realise how good you are otherwise he might leave for prem. having a player like that is similar to when you pull a bird abit above yourself and you are punching above your weight, it is difficult as you want them to feel comforable and happy but not to confident to look else where so you have to find a fault (chubby ankels is a personal favortie) just to keep them in check and self consicion enough not to put it about. this from a married man with a daughter. I am going to hell.
