weel, not been to ER for a while now, vowed never to give bates any more of my much hard earned, when it was costing me over £100 to take me and the kids, but on petrol, food, programs and a visit to the shop got to over £150 a game, but for fome daft reason I think next season will be the "one" so just got mesen a season ticket, lol not a rumor but fact, lmao :-)

Believable11 Unbelievable2

Love the optimism fella. Lufc is like heroin. Extremely bad for the health, not to be recommended but unfortunately highly addictive. Maybe next season will be THE season. Hope so. We will all be happy.

A deal in principle had been agreed with GFH selling a controlling interest to Yorkshire Consortium with additional money from Bahrain, not Saudi. It is now in doubt on account of LUFC owning no saleable assets (ie Ground and Thorp Arch) which means the prospective owners are getting little or nothing of any re-saleable worth for the future. Going to be a long drawn out affair yet again IF they decide to continue their interest.

Believable3 Unbelievable16

Dont you think they knew we didn't own either the ground or thorpe arch. It is common knowledge, why post useless articles such as this.

This statement has not improved an already boring Saturday afternoon. So what you are claiming is this group were the only people on this planet that didn't know we don't own the ground/training ground until negotiations were under way? OMG!

Agree12 Disagree0

I think anyone with a passing interest in Leeds knows that we don't own the ground or training ground, so this wouldn't be a shock to GFH or indeed any new buyer, so I'm not sure what you are talking about?

Agree8 Disagree0

Of course everyone knows ER and TA are leased. What they didn't know previously were the exact terms of the leases and any buy back options. These have become apparent during due diligence.

why is everyone getting angry at ghf, this is what they do with companies. come in try make the company stable and then draw in investment. there's no cloak and daggers or lies here this is what they do and i'm sure in time its exactly what's going to happen. it was blatently obvious this was the case from the start so why give them a hard time

Believable8 Unbelievable5

Indeed. Exactly the same as Ken Bates. The only difference is that Ken doesn't look for investors, he makes his money when he sells. This is why all the talk about him selling all our assets and pocketing the money is so much nonsense. All he did was streamline the club, make it profitable then sell, he never took anything out of the club until the final sale.

Can't we swap warnock for poyet to reduce the compensation payment. Brighton is closer to Cornwall - good fit for all

Believable12 Unbelievable1

Can't we swap Bates for Abramovich

Agree12 Disagree4

Can we swap habibou for donald duck, donalds good in the air and can control a ball better with his flippers

Agree10 Disagree2

Can we swap Adam Drury for Eileen Drewery?

Agree1 Disagree3

Who'd want Abramovich? A new manager every six months?. actually forget that. That might suit a lot of fans. Abramovich in.

Agree2 Disagree2

Haha that's great!

The plight of troubled Coventry City has reached a new low with club staff moving out of the Ricoh Arena to work at the training ground in Ryton, while the club shop is emptied of stock.

There's always someone worse off than yourself.

Believable15 Unbelievable0

Don't we know how that feels?; good luck to Coventry for the future

Agree12 Disagree0

PS not forgetting Portsmouth as well

Agree10 Disagree1

But I bet they (Coventry) get back into the premier league B4 us!

Agree2 Disagree5

A goal to the bad so far. Keep the faith - we definitely have the ability to return before they do.

Dont know why everyone so bitter towards becc. Granted he is not up to prem but the bloke left us to make more money. He is getting on and wanted a last payday. i'd do the same. don't be so bloody bitter about it.
5 -6 years time warnock will want to sign him back anyway.

Believable16 Unbelievable4

1 last pay day! what about the 4 million pound contract he was offerd at leeds. for a very average leauge 1/ championship player ide call that a pay day aswell.

Agree7 Disagree4

I had to laugh at your choice of words - calling other posters "bitter" when all of your posts are negative "bitter" rantings about Warnock, GFH, or under performing players - I know you are entitled to your opinion but really you do go on sometimes - things could be better but under the financial circumstances we havnt done that badly considering some clubs are close to going under and Warnock can only bring in what finances allow - any chance of you posting something positive one day

Agree11 Disagree4

Glad you had a laugh because you don't seem capable of a serious opinion. i'm not bitter nor do I wish him unwell, I just want him gone.
Becc went for money and a career promotion, good luck to him

Agree3 Disagree9

I don't seem capable of serious opinion? - funny how most of my posts are agreed with and most of yours are disagreed with - as for Warnock he seems to have had a great deal of success in his time when he's been able to get the right players for someone whos such a bad manager - you are just the kind of poster who will moan no matter who is in charge - try getting behind the team instead of your Bitter rantings

Agree4 Disagree4

To the first reply the 4m contract obv wasn't as much as he was offered over there can't blame him its all about the money, always is given the same situation each one of us would do the same

Agree4 Disagree1

No mate can't say I would do the same to be honest. I could quite happily retire on 4 million. And be a leeds legend forever. Anyway ime not getting into a war with ye over the greeedy txxt. Mot forever.

Agree0 Disagree0

Considering how becchio had said how much he loved Leeds and wanted to stay and 2 weeks later he's gone, despite the offer of a very good contract, he can rot on their bench, good riddance.

Agree3 Disagree0

To warnocks brothers post about 3-4 above
You live in the long long distant past mate with warnocks successes.
And just how many of warnocks signings would you take to the prem?
Maybe 2, I reckon.

Agree1 Disagree2

Warnocks brother - you are sooo funny, and wrong (again) - I was talking about his past signings when he has had the funds not the current ones he has had to get in on a shoestring - perhaps its because you live so far away that you have just lost touch with things

FIGHT!! that cheered up a boring Sunday :) anyway to sum up, Warnock is carp, Beccs made a bad decision but i'm not bitter and I don't bear grudges but I would just like to say Tony Currie £400,000 to QPR? Grrrrrrrr

Now that Norwich have signed von winklepicker, where now for our Luccy? I can't see him getting much of a look in tbh and a move away from Carrow Road is a distinct possibility in the summer unless they don't want to lose face and off load him so quickly. One thing's for sure he won't be getting many games if he stays. If he's sold, where too? No Prem team would go near him and a move back to the Championship is more likely to a top 10 team. As much as I liked Becchio in a Leeds shirt and wanted him to do well after leaving us, it seems that he could soon be back where he started and there's no guarantees that he will be able to re-discover his goal scoring feats at LUFC with another team. the grass isn't always greener, although I'm sure the money is better!

Believable8 Unbelievable1

Its a bit of a shame for the beccs really. He probably intended to try and fjght his way into first team and enjoy prem life. Now its going to be tough for him, what's he going to do just sit out and collect dosh or move for first team football. I wiuld milk em dry. They didn't give him much chance

Agree5 Disagree4

I'm not been funny but who cares now. becchio went. he won't come back. all that matters is getting players who can get us up next season. don't care who they are as long as there quality and take us back to where we belong.
Why talk about an ex player who can do no more for the team. shrew leeds

Agree7 Disagree2

Original poster here. This is a forum for Leeds related banter I assume? Should we only be allowed to talk about players who currently play for us or ones who we're linked with us?. I never said I wanted him to come back (I don't by the way) just making an observation about the current situation.

I'm sooo sorry if I posted something you don't like Shrew leeds, but if you don't like it, don't read it and certainly don't comment on it. I was going to post a thread about players who left us, you still admire but I think it might ruin your day.

Get a life
