Ed's attempted to post a big post earlier but it didn't come through can you tell me why?

Well then guys a lot has happened in the last couple of days that I want to put my opinions about starting with (Well it is all but confirmed. ) signing Marcus Anottson IMO a decent signing I would personally preferred to bring in Ashley Fletcher individually because he is younger, probably cheaper and has more experience in English leagues.

But saying that we could sign both but IMO that is a bad decision because I think Anottson isn't good enough at this level to be a 20+ goal scorer IMO and we need a proven championship goal scorer to partner with Wood and Anottson to be a squad rotation player who could come in to the stating line up if one of the starting front two is underperforming and he could be a impact sub because from what I heard about him he seems like a Swiss Jamie Vardy in the way he makes runs in behind the defence.

But in all in all a decent signing that I am relatively happy with who I think could get 10 to 15 goals. In other news a pre season tour was announced in Ireland which will be good Irish fans who are not able to see the Mighty Whites much so that's good for them and Irish league sides I think are nowhere near as good as Championship sides because a couple seasons we smashed one 5 1 and I believe Hockawho was in charge.

So we should smash them and I think it is important in friendly games against lesser sides to put in a good performance but get a good comfortable win because it keeps confidence high and positivity high and if you win a couple it starts or if you good end to the continues momentum into the new season. Against better sides it is more about the performance because you can't expect that your side should be beating those teams but if you win fantastic but as I say more about the performance.

Anyway going of point as for the fixture list for the new season the first game of the season Qpr away should be a good one I think qpr will be a playoff challenging side and hopefully with a good summer of recruitment we should be the same but because it is away from home i think it will be a tough one and think we will draw as for the first home game Birmingham another playoff side IMO but because we are at home we should (Hopefully home form curse is gone and have a good side at home. ) the advantage and expect a win.

I am not going to go into all games because I would be here a century but another one to look out for for me is The Mighty Whites vs The Toon because it is on Birthday which has to be a good sign and defo will be going to that one. So then Optimistim is high with all the good things going on the Club talk about things I missed out in another post coming soon (Also quick thing why is there a bit tension between George and other members of the community we all support the greatest club in the World and even though we disagree about certain things we all agree about one thing we all love Leeds so let's try to get along. ) Here is to great season MOT!

Think Marcus Antonsson is Swedish and although a deal has been agreed I am not sure it has gone through yet (hopefully just a matter of time)

Just wondering, if we put Wood up for sale, what do you think we 'wood' get? I have seen him play for NZ many times and I don't think he is very good. Couldn't trap a bag of cement and coincidentally jumps like one as well. He is not quick and does miss relatively easy chances although every now and then gets a class goal. For me, sell and use the money for a fast more skillful striker.

No more than 2m. The guy can improve though especially with someone else helping up top. He's a keep for me but ideally he should be a sub not a starter.

Ridiculous thing to say. What if he's not on form? What if he's carrying a slight knock? What if other strikers are playing better and scoring goals? What if Monk decides his exclusion is warranted tactically? What if he comes on and persistently scores off the bench like a super sub?

I accept we overpaid for Wood but saying silly rigid things like we got to play him because of his price tag is the type of approach which will only result in midtable mediocrity.

Just read that Stiliyan Petrov at the age of 36 is to start training with Villa again after 4 years out with Leukaemia. Would of been so easy for him to hang his boots up at that age and shows he loves the beautiful game.
Massive respect.
Hope he makes a first team come back soon, what a player he was. This guy should be a role model for youngsters these days, not some of the over paid prima donnas in the game today.

Wish him every success. Hope he can take Villa to 3rd and come up via the play offs, beatING Wendy in the the play offs. We are preparing so different to last year with Cellino splashing the cash and GFH showing they really care. No doubt it's automatic for us. All the best Slivan: a great Celt.

How underwhelming is that.
He's not even getting on the bench in my opinion. BUT HE'S CHEAP I FORGOT.

Blimey, give the lad a break! Thought he showed a bit of promise when he first got a chance but didn't get many opportunities last season. Important we get the youngsters signed up, some will make it, some not but he won't be on megabucks so not a great risk. The fact they've given him a 3 year deal suggests GM and the others must think something of him.

Agree that maybe we should cit him a bit of slack, but thing long term that Slough will be proved right. Telly think he'll end up in league 1 with an average side and dissappear after a couple of seasons.
