In response to an earlier (extremely long winded and full of initials) post, I did hear on the QT that BMD was worried about losing his job if MC buys the club, so is PK as JC is lined up for goal. DH is worried that himself, AF and PV won't get the deal over the line, while AP and LR AKA TC wait in the wings. LR AKA TC loves the club where he used to be MVP cause of the countless MOM performances he put in
SP and SN meanwhile seem to be MIA during the TO, while us fans need some information ASAP. It's a wonder EHD hasn't gone AWOL while BMD is distracted. It's enough to make us all go slowly MAD!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

JC joining Leeds that would be miracle.

Is it just me or do you think Allegri would be better then Mcdermott. Allegri's recored at Milan is decent but I wouldn't like that chairman but I would like Julio cesar lol.

Lots of people being negative about the alleged new owners. I for one would love to see it happen, at least we would have just one majority shareholder. Plus he is worth around 800 million, we could buy our way to the premier league. I don't get it, some people are saying we need to invest and then saying we don't want to sell to them. At the end of the day we need big bucks spent on the squad and the Italian guy has it. Vinny.

Protest not always bad. Helped remove Bates. This situation has gone on way too long. Conflicting information, lies, broken promises, poor results, inept transfer activity. Time for protest.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

You can protest all you like I've got my tickets for tuesday and i'm supporting my team and the manager because they deserve it now more than ever

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed013's Note - Why protest? Things have moved on so much since Mr Bates has left. Leeds United is much more a Club which interacts with the fans and understands what is needed to take the club forward. Protesting against something that is unknown (factual) will make the minority look like idiots. Mr Haigh is desperate to do well with the club and is doing all he can to push it forward}

Think you're right there Ed, this time next week we could have new owners and a couple of new players. Doubt it, but it's possible. There's obviously a good reason for the silence. It would be very silly to alienate us knowing what we went through bates.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hear what you say Ed but there eventually comes a time when enough is enough. I don't mind the delay what I mind is the silence as conflicting information comes out. If neither the club nor the consortium can scotch the rumors then there's no smoke without. I understand legal reasons mean they can't give the whole game away but Haigh did say just question of dotting i's. Doesn't sound or look like it?! Protest too strong a word. Perhaps stand up if you want the truth, stand up.

Agree0 Disagree0

At this moment in time you wouldn't even know who you are protesting against.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jan 2014 07:50:33
you really think the protest helped get rid of bates sorry but you live in dream land
He went was it was right for him not because of a silly protest that makes the fans look like persons get a grip and support the team like we all do

Agree0 Disagree0

There is no reason to protest what matters is the team for once we have not sold anyone got two players in. I don't think anyonebeleived we would go up this season we are in a better position at the moment just let the money men sought it out so in the summer we can buy players get rid of a few. Keep faith with the manager support the players. I don't care who buys us Italian arab or Yorkshire man just if they have our clubs best interest

23 Jan 2014 22:03:07
Well watt a mess owners GFH are doing there upmost to push the price off the shares up to oust sports capital, the one consortia that actually have Leeds Uniteds best interests at Hart. Keep with it Haig and flowers. They are bluffing just in my humble opinion though

Why are certain people excited about cesar signing the man is a has been, he is qpr 3rd choice keeper, he was world class years ago not anymore, that's why he is struggling to get a game in the championship, if that's the kind of people cellino attracts keep them who will it be next, you never know we could do the Brazilian double and take podge ronaldo up front with McCormack.seriously get a grip world class my arse.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Hes still world class qpr are forcing him out because the ridiculous wages he's on think they might end up giving him away we still couldn't pay his wages though

Agree0 Disagree0

Fat ronaldo would still take all the championship strikers to the cleaners haha. Saw him in a charity game recently can still finish like f***

For anyone wanting to know what's going on minus the details I can tell you. once again our club, the one the fans keep going, is being shafted by greedy businessmen leaving fans and bmd to go through the emotional turmoil while they pretend to be fans wanting what's best for the club while wholeheartedly striving to line there pockets with cash, cash and more cash . I'm sick to death with the lot of them whoever they are at this rate I'll take league one and an honest club . call me old fashioned but rollx to them all. always leeds always white give us back our club!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

23 Jan 2014 19:47:31
I don't even think the club knows what's going on. From Haigh, the consortium, Kenny and Brian to Cellino, Cesar and Allegri.
What is going on?.

Hi fellow Leeds fans.
I for one am really excited about this Italian takeover! Even if it doesn't happen there are two people trying to buy us, surely that shows an upturn in fortunes.
If this guy buys us I think it could be the shot in the arm we need (if nothing else from the fans point of view). Nothing has been signed, but already we are being linked to the Brazilian number one. This can only be a good thing! All the fans I know are buzzing at even being linked! The thing which worries me though is, unless he is Man City rich (which we know he isn't), signing players like this is how Ridsdale started and we don't want to go down that road again. But things are looking up. Starting with a very winnable game on Tuesday and if results went our way not far of the playoffs again.

MOT forever

Ben - Telford

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ben from telford calm down its only Caesar Cesar whatever you call him, you make it sound like were been linked with messi, only reason were been linked is because he is qprs 3rd choice keeper, yeah just what we need.

Agree0 Disagree0

OP here. Yes I suppose you're right. What would a Brazilian national player, CL winner and winner of numerous Seria A titles bring to us at 33. You're right let's stick with Paddy Kenny who's the same age and who's won. oh no, wait a minute.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Jan 2014 18:26:37
If cellino takesover and sacks McDermott and replaces paddy Kenny I will rip my season ticket up, who picks the team manager yes, cellino doesn't think so he picks it himself, people said when we wanted Bates out be careful what you wish for, well this guy is worse than bates a lot worse and as for his arrogant son, get yourself into revie stand and well give you a typical yorkshire welcome.what must McDermott be thinking now he's seen these rumours, morale was low before it must be absolutely shot to bits now.david haigh your selling our club down the river to line your own pockets.were MOT with Brian McDermott in charge, were in it together utd, fans players manager backroom staff even groundsman, owners NO.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

What a load of drivel .Why don't you just wait an see what happens, and if replacing Kenny is the first thing the owners do, then bring it on . McD won't get fired, unless we have ridiculous megabucks, which is what everyone has been hoping for.

Agree0 Disagree0

Its taken weeks and weeks for the takeover to go through, now in the space of around a week Cellino steps in and is hours from buying the club, anyone else think this is way too quick, plus all the reports are from Italy none from here, does anybody know what the hell is going on.

Agree0 Disagree0

And you say I talk drivel, caesar bring it on, may I remind you apart from McCormack who's been our most consistent player, also this bloke doesn't need big bucks to get rid of managers, 36 in 20 yrs and you say he won't sack McDermott, mark my words if he takes over this will be bad news for lufc.

Sorry but if you are a real Leeds fan you will be whatever!
I despised Bates but was still a Leeds Fan
Might not be what we want and we may be set for more years of pain but whatever I and all true supporters of this club will forever remain White and proud - Leeds till I Die

Agree0 Disagree0

This must be true. Any half a head football man who has watched Leeds of late could see Kenny has been rubbish. It's the first thing I would fix .

Agree0 Disagree0

Pearce by a long shot. Paddy Kenny is a championship Goalkeeper for a reason . That being. He ain't good enough . Good shot stopper, but slow as, and very poor judgement.

Agree0 Disagree0

Are you one of the fans at rochdale shouting what the f**k was that. Slating mcd team selection at sheff w and say his signings kebe, stewart and hunt are all crap. Make up your mind what do you want success or years and years of what we've got and had for the last few years. Make your mind up, I know what I want

Agree0 Disagree0

Ive got a better idea how about we all get behind the club and stop moaning we have been in far worse situations than this we need to do are bit what happened to the never say die attitude.

Is it just me or is leeds united just a club for people with no money to get themselves in the paper I.e mr haigh! I would really love what he's bringing to the table because by looks off things he's just a skint no body with some very rich friends

Believable0 Unbelievable0

23 Jan 2014 18:19:12
Is it just me or does anyone else have a bad feeling about this Cellino? He seems a massive risk to me after looking on the internet for anything about him, does anyone know if he is wealthy, because at the moment I would rather stick with David Haigh and co.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Worth 800million haigh and his (mates) only 100 million

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Jan 2014 17:57:22
Only thing that bothers me at the minute about the possible takeover by Cellino is that I can find very little in the British press about it. All the news is about Sport Capitals takeover, or lack of takeover at the minute. I would have thought by now that there would be something in the press about Cellino if there was something in all the rumours about him.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

If you look on transfer blog on ssn earlier today it linked him with us and actually commente on Julio cesar. That's the nearest Iv seen today just have a look mate see what you think.

Agree0 Disagree0

It's everywhere in Italy.

I would persnonally like it if Cellino takes no over, he's passionate, rich, wise and seems like he wants to drive his clubs forwards. He does have a tendency to sack managers ruthlessly but that is because he backs managers financially and he clearly wants results

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Jan 2014 17:50:43
Another day passes on the merry go round that's Leeds United, All the italian press say we are now owen by this guy for 50M. If this is true looks like the end for BMD, however in the fairy tale land that is our take over who knows what to believe! To be honest I give up going to hide under the duvet for the next 8 days and surface then and see what's happened, I suspect just another poor 1-0 defeat to Ipswich to be honest! Happy Days

How shallow are you mate? No need for comments like that.

Then we will be told what is going on.
yet again we are treated as bloody mugs,

I don't know way and I'll be get my head ripped off for this but after reading about this Italian guy I think he will do good for come on Brazils number one goalie can be joining us if he takes over and I know calgari have some ok players and this guy likes to spend money
Only concern is managers 36 managers in20 years not
Good and I have read Zola can be new manager
But if we get promoted then that's a different story
But let's see what happens m.o.t

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I agree with you I'm excited about it I hope it does happen and we get cesar

Agree0 Disagree0

Its reported on football Italia, that Cellino has already offered the coaches job at Elland Road to Max Allegri, and sky journalist reports Cellino is mere details away from acquiring our club to be concluded very shortly, Allegri turned the job offer down though, so is Mac now on borrowed time?we shall see.

So when does the exclusivity period end, maybe the situation is GFH stalling as the Italian is willing to pay more.

Then once the period ends. Callini moves in.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Or maybe the "exclusivity period" with the DH consortium was all a smokescreen to give exposure to a supposed buyout and bring in a real investor.

Everytime I look at these sites, I see other clubs signing or loaning players, some very good ones. For Leeds - very little. It looks as though I am going to have to resign myself to an average season (at best), a summer rebuild (again) and a next season push. Or did I say this last year.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

You said that last year. and the year before!

23 Jan 2014 12:05:16
Right guys. This is just speculation here, my view on things that have happened over recent weeks. Here goes, cellino failed the fit and proper persons test, he is part of the 4 man consortium that is sport capital. Due to him failing this, gfh blocked the deal to sign ashley barnes with sport capitals money as they were concerned wether the takeover would go through and didn't want to have to pay that back to sport capital if that was the case. Gfh do want this deal to go through or else why would they have confirmed to reuters a few days ago they had agreed a sale, also cellino can't be an alone buyer to disrupt the deal as gfh gave sport capital an exclusivity period, and nobody has said otherwise. All I would say is be patient, things will come good for leeds united, wether it be this transfer window or the summer. i'd much prefer it to be the summer, as there's not many eye catching options out there at the moment in my opinion. Keep the faith lads and yes it is an unnerving time, but the press know how to put a good spin on things. The future is white! MOT

I here lots of negativity regarding this Cellino guy.

Does anyone know what sort of money he has invested in Cagliari over 20 years?
Or has he been a papa smurf and just blead Cagliari??

Thames White

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I've just had a look over their transfer history since he bought the club. It's basically a break even net spend over his tenure but he seems to have been willing to spend good money on players. For a team that have been in up and down Serie A/B and mainly been a lower table Serie A team when they were in the top flight, he spent decent sums on players, talking 2-6million and in between. The only reason the sales have balanced as break even is due to some big fees brought in. Roma, Inter, Juventus etc have all spent big money buying players from Cagliari.

You can't really blame them either. Good players at a small team always get snapped up by the big boys, it's the same in the UK too but it seems like Cagliari have put the money back into buying replacements unlike a certain Mr Bates.

That's just my take anyway. I don't claim to know the ins and outs of Cagliaris finances etc just going by the raw transfer data.

Are you like me and want this Italian nowhere near our club.firstly no manager can work for this man, the proof is in the pudding 36 managers in 20 yrs how can we have stability, secondly the man gets involved with things that don't concern him.to me an owner/directors job is to make the football club financially sound whilst planning for the future not arguing with local councils and going through court cases, we had enough of that under the bates regime, also he sticks his nose in regarding team transfers and team selection I think that's why no manager can work with him.i have done my research on the man and if like me you don't want him anywhere near our great club please leave your comments and let me know I'm not the only one.i think it's clear one of the sports capital consortium have pulled out, probably over the Ashley Barnes fiasco, can't see it been the results on the pitch.david haigh is desperate to stay on as chairman that much he is blinded by the obvious been the problems and baggage this Italian brings, please stand aside david and let Lucas radebes consortium which includes mike Farnan and Adam Pearson takeover, thanks for all your hard work but you are now more of a hinderance than a help.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I agree this would be bad but I don't think u need to worry he failed the fapp test when he tried to takeover west ham so can't see it happening, although it does smack of desperation from haigh and co. Very worrying times ahead.
