Not sure why everyone keeps saying Cooper played well against Brighton. From where I was sitting he looked nervous and the ball just bounced off of him. Glad for the team that we kept a clean sheet but the Jansson thing needs sorting. I'm not sure people praising Cooper actually saw the game.

I don't think he had a particularly good game but we won against top team so he can't have been a disaster. He obviously isn't a pontus but he gives a 100% and should not get the stick he does.

I went to the game and thought Coops did ok, as Aus said, he's not Pontus but he stepped up to the mark and we ended up with a clean sheet

Just read Oxwhites post regarding points that Leeds could finish with and having checked my calculations I have arrived at 86 points as well. This is based on us loosing just one game and dropping points with two drawn games. It's a big ask but everybody can dream. I also think that Fulham could get 6th place by goal difference over Sheffield Wednesday.

Between 75 and 80 is probably more realistic

Berardi voted player of the month by the fans - thoughts? I think he has done brilliantly from us of late - filling in on the left when asked and giving his heart and soul in every performance. Well deserved.

Yes, it kinda annoys me when Wood gets all the plaudits and motm awards. Berardi and Green have both been outstanding recently.

Brilliant news Alf, great that someone that applies himself so consistently has Been recognised by the fans. Didn't I read somewhere recently that the left side was not his strongest? There was that Utube video ? Or was it Facebook πŸ˜ƒOften gets overlooked that MC bought him too πŸ‘

Well he started to go up immensely in my estimation when he refused to join the 'sick note six'. That can't have been easy for him to do.

Fair point speedy, helped that he doesn't understand Italian though πŸ‘

for me green has been our best player of late but do not begrugde beradi getting the award and can see why he got the vote and it is deserved still hate him on the left though, not sure if I have mentioned that anywhere?

Berm you didn't mention that at all. But I do think you like CT more maybe your secret love child from another lady and you are getting a cut of the signing on fee if he moves on like an double agent

doug i'm not that old, couldn't be taylors dad more talented older brother maybe. I did start a campaigning to get taylor playing on the right but apparently that is silly as he is left footed.

Easy with the Berardi love in Speedy! watch your blood pressure, just a bit of harmless banter, simply highlighting Berardi as the only non-Italian, when referencing the sick note 6 πŸ˜‚

When you don't include Duke and Cani of course! My point is we have lots of nationalities in the side who didn't find it hard not to strike so why would Beradi as a Swiss national find it any harder than them not to have joined the strike? God when is this international break finished again πŸ˜ƒ

Sg90, when you say pontus has rejuvenated our team single handedly. I take it almost to mean as well as monk, bartley, ayling, berardi, vierra, wood, green, hernan, etc. not at all down to one player.

We won against a top team without him and even if he is a great player obviously his head is screwed at the moment and should stay on bench until it is unscrewed.

Bw, bad form mate. Not being a facebook visitor i was unaware that you put clips of berardi on there.

So you decide to put a few clips of a player you say messes up and cost us the game against Huddersfield. Newsflash mate, Huddersfield would have beaten us all day long.

Probably 50% of our conceded goals this season have come from player errors, but you decide to single out an error by a player, playing out of position all season.

What about the players playing in their correct position that have been the cause of goals? None of them on facebook. Green about min 5-6 goals and pontus, ayling, bartley, cooper, bridcutt all been responsible for goals conceded. None on facebook. Fact of the matter is, Berardi has played as well out of position as most have in position.

Yes he has given the team and fans a huge lift. Remember we were in the bottom 3 and conceding for fun before he made his debut, no coincidence how things have changed around since. We look so nervous at the back when he doesn't play and you could see that on Saturday. We gave Murray great chances to score, but thankfully he missed 2 and Green was alert with the other. Pontus has united the fans since day one at a time when there was a lot of arguing and unrest, so yes I would say almost single handedly.

have to agree with Aus here - if you put clips of players making mistakes out then it should be equal (i haven't seen them either btw) - any player can be made to look bad (or good) if the clips are biased one way or another. i remember some players that we've had looking like world beaters on youtube clips only to find out they are awful in reality. I wonder how many times Berardi has saved us this season with a well timed tackle or full blooded challenge compared to how many mistakes he has made?

We have been riding our luck at the back for 4-5 weeks. We may have looked nervey on saturday but that's been the case for weeks even with pontus. He may have united the fans and he is a good player but just one of 6-7 good players we have. And we have looked dodgy at back with him. i'm not knocking him. Just give the others credit and believe in monk. If he's dropped. there's a reason for it and most prob attitude.

no Aus, my post from someone saying taylor should not play again for leeds and berardi should be our left sided player. i disagreed and when asked why used that clip as why you should not play a defended out of position when you have a better option.

So was not to slate berardi, all players make mistakes and he has been leeds through and through and spot on, however when anyone says berardi over taylor I will use that clip as 100% the reason why (it is one clip of many of him being wrong footed) not his fault he is right footed but he is and only an idiot would have him about the left footed and fantastic taylor.

So I like to think of it as reason behind debate than hanging a player out to dry. I will fight berardi's back and maybe play him ahead of ayling at the moment especially against the better teams as think he is better defensively but play him on the left and drop taylor is only the opinion of a moron in my opinion.

and if you want proof look at that clip and you will see why. on costing us the goal against top teams it is fine margins, that game was 2-1 with last minute goal his awful mistake cost us the first goal.

that could be the difference between prem or not next year and i would not want to risk that, however i would play in in the prem he is that good on the right.
