Would be a fantastic signing and a player that would suit Monksy style. Just hope MC doesn't stuff it up by asking him to take a 90% pay cut and offering 50k.

Also, Monksy is after a british goalie, anyone know or about the NIR chap. Did I hear correct he was unattached on one of the games.

Yes ds you did hear correct, he is a free agent! Although after his performances he won't be for long πŸ˜‚ he would be a superb signing at championship level would he not?

With reference to some of the posts way down looking for a derogatory name for Gulf Finance House can I suggest - Mick's Ugly Spouse?

Honestly lads she's a minger (unlike her sister) so this would be the ultimate insult - other than throwing your shoes at them.

22 Jun 2016 17:32:13
MM why did you marry her. The only explanation I can think of is that your eyes were dazzled by the brightness of the shell suite you were wearing when you met her, which in tern blinded you from her uglyness! It's either that or you just married her to get closer to the sister, which by the sounds of it hasn't worked yet.

Either way MM, your wife and sister-in-law banter is ace, kept up the good work.

Lads I appreciate your comments below but my question was not regarding gfh but regarding " time to go Massimo" campaign's silence in regards gfh that campaign seems to have no interest in gfh . Why is it they have no opinion on gfh.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

22 Jun 2016 15:06:00
Wex
I'm sure that campaign sees Good for Hoaxes in a very poor light but the ultimate responsibility lies with MC. He ought to have retained the power to get rid of them even if it takes money. Something of an irony given his reputation for firing people that he seemingly can't get shot of them.

Agree3 Disagree0

22 Jun 2016 15:25:04
George why the silence regarding gfh.

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Jun 2016 15:29:10
Wex lad, I think because they keep a very low profile (so low you never see any of them! πŸ˜‚) But seriously they don't have anyone who openly makes waves, interferes or leave themselves to be openly attacked or targeted in the way that MC does, they just don't do anything, and I think they don't know how to! IMO. Massimo is the focal point because he is the largest shareholder and can't help himself as we all now know in putting his foot in it (whimsical decisions) and shoots his mouth off (in the media) I think he is learning his lessons the hard way though and so far this pre season the signs are looking good, new CEO, appointment of GM, new signings starting to happen etc, this GFH problem is one that massimo will have to insist that they sell their shares at a fair price on the grounds that they are SKINT and can't afford a fair imput in the running of our club, can't wait for the season to get going 😎.

Maybe they're following the lead from the nomenclature and meaning of our new manager.

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Jun 2016 15:48:48
Lets start a list:

How do you attack a silent minority share holder?
MC bought the Club with binding ties to GFH. Its in his power to sort them out; but he won't take the hit and do it.
MC paid an over-inflated price for the Club without due diligence and tied it to GFH. (He even borrowed the money from GFH! ) That's why he'd have to take a loss to sell it.
MC has dismantled the Club and academy, left it languishing in mid table and made it a laughing stock; GFH had no real input to the farce of the last 3 seasons.
MC has no sentimental attachment to Leeds. He tried to buy Crystal Palace and West Ham before Leeds; he was just desperate to get a Club in the premiership and it is proving much harder than the numpty realised.
I appreciate the positivity that's about at the moment, but dread when the next knee jerk emotional decision will spin us off into MC's alternate universe again.
I'd love owners with the vision, plan and resource to propel Leeds to the heights they deserve. I do not believe that MC can do that; GFH are just a distraction. Therefore the focus should remain time to go Massimo, just for when he slips up again!

22 Jun 2016 16:16:26
You don't know. That's ok . So I guess they just want Cellino to go and they don't mind gfh hanging around feeding off our club.

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Jun 2016 12:37:06
With the news about gfh contributing nothing to Leeds surely its time for " time to go Massimo" to concentrate their efforts in gfh's direction. You have to ask yourself why are they so silent on this matter. George maybe you have some insight to their campaign can you clarify why the silence in relation to gfh.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

22 Jun 2016 12:55:49
Yes that seems a fair question.

I'm sure this sort of situation happens at other companies so how do they handle it? I would think (I don't know mind) that MC could state legally that if he is investing and gfh (or any minor partner doesn't) that he would get the benefit of any future increase in the company price or when sold, clearly put in legal terms but am sure MC's situation with gfh not unique in business so lawyers would be able to advise him on this.

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Jun 2016 13:53:03
Yes, it is a disgrace and what is also a disgrace is how they managed to pass the fit and proper test without their own funds having allegedly "appropriated" them from a client. This will not be investigated when "Poacher turned Game Keeper" Shaun Harvey brokered the deal. I genuinely feel sorry for Cellino for having to deal with these parasites however this cements the virtue of "looking before you leap" and doing DD. A savvy businessman would have gained documented assurances as to the level of commitment expected from each partner. I struggle to understand as to why Cellino has allowed himself to be hamstrung by a 16% shareholder (albeit the largest debtor the club has)

I believe I answered what should have happened from the beginning of Cellino's tenure. In absence of such an agreement there's nothing illegal with GFH being a silent shareholder or more accurately a leech. What baffles me is why Cellino or Parkin don't buy them out even if it is for a significantly inflated price. They're worth getting rid of. Notts is also right how they passed the test beyond comprehension. I'm a patient man. If we can get rid of them for good by end of the season I'll take that.

Sure they do wex. It can't be good. Maybe for consistency and fairness purposes they should create a sister group aimed at GFH.

Nothing suitable really rhymes with the letter H so it's got to be something that rhymes with House as in Gulf Finance House.

Morning fellow leeds sufferers, watching the highlights of our new signing in waiting Mr Antonsson, it strikes me as a good find! Looking at the standard of football in Swedens top flight, It looks below the standard of the more physical and quicker pace of the championship. So he will have to step up IMO but you still have to put the ball in the net of the league your playing in and Marcus does it very well from what I can see, the positive sign here if you don't trust watching highlights on YouTube of a player is that Pep clotet knows him and made the recommendation, he looks quick, well balanced and mobile, takes a good penalty and can use both feet, looks like he can play anywhere along the line upfront, didn't see much evidence of heading ability but he is just over 6 foot so should be able to jump hopefully better than woody πŸ˜‚, I think these 2 upfront will complement each other,
Down with GFH and up to Loftus road we go! MOT people 😎.

Mornin everybody peeps innit. Well, reasons to be cheerful part III. The restructuring and progress at our club is promising, GFH are giving Cellino a big stick for him to beat them with and England are into the last 16. Lovely. can't quite believe all the negativity surrounding England, reminds me a bit of our club! We are as well equipped as any to progress and a quarter final against France should hold no fears. I doubt Portugal will get a result today and expect to be playing Iceland or Austria next. Bet Β£100 at 8/ 1 on us before the start of the tournament and I expect a decent run for my money. Happy wednesday siblings, bottoms down, up the whites and down those pints.

Just read something on news now, about another emergency meeting to be held in next 48 hours with GFH, apparently they can't afford to put any money in for transfers and into leeds in general! :-o maybe this is the chance to get rid of Em and offer shares to Mr Parkin? or someone genuinely interested with funds! P. s well done Stuart Dallas and the Northern Irish lads.

None of us are surprised. They were a cancer from the beginning. However, there ought to have been a shareholders' agreement detailing their guaranteed continued financial input and the consequences (automatic sale of shares at little above cost) for breach. Since Cellino didn't do any DD the likelihood of such a contract existing is equivalent of locating a grammatically correct no spelling error coherent post from Berm.
