I am sure we are all waiting for the season to start and thought the doubters should consider the following and give MC and strategy including the Coach a chance

Every other owner, from GFH to Bates has been in it for a quick ££ and did not have any intention of building the club going forward. Bates it was sell the young talent, GFH it was take as much money as you can.

MC however has a track record of staying with a club and building it up (no quick ££) and in fact since he has arrived its been pay off HMRC, Loans and probably a lot more.

One thing about MC which we do know is he is dead straight and tells it like it is, in fact after watching the press conference he reminded me of Revie (blunt, honest and straight)

I personally will give MC and the staff. players etc my support - off and on the field

You sound like my kind of guy MOT

I'm a doubter, I agree give him a chance but every time I watch that press conference it is as though the two of them can't believe they are where they are bewildered. They look like a couple of night club bouncers. Even the reporters when they announced Hockaday they chuckled. Everyone I speak to just takes the p*** I hope they do well to prove us wrong but just can't see it sorry, Embarrasing really in my opinion. If he was so good why has no-one else ever tried to get him he has been in the game a long time. Laughing stock yet again

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't compare him to Don REVIE, The Don had much more about him than Hockaday

Agree0 Disagree0

Spot on jester

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree.

MC reminds me on an Italian Duncan Bannatyne, lol

utd are back ( well very soon)

Agree0 Disagree0

The chucking was probably due to the fact that "Hockaday" lends itself to quite a few headlines next year and the press are going to have field days on any negetive results, ones that come to mind are:

Hack-a-day, C**k-a-day, Crock-a-day, jack-a-day etc etc.

Great post White. MC is changing everything that has not worked for a decade, its a breath of fresh air and finally an owner who has Leeds at his heart. let's just see what happens when the season starts before deriding it all and predicting doom and gloom.

If we keep doing the same but expect a different result, then we are doing what is the definition of stupid. MC wants a change and that's better than carrying on doing what we were doing before. I'm sure he will tweek and fine tune as required as we would expect.

Too right. At last we have an owner who has bought the club at a fair price after carefully considering the its true worth.

He has bought it for cash and not accrued any more debt for the Club in the purchase process.

He has provided finance to sustain the Club in the interim in the form of cash investment and not loans that accrue interest.

He has come with a viable and articulate business plan that shows security for the future and identifies investment to achieve targeted aims.

He has invested to secure the Club's infrastructure and provide future security and stability going forward.

He has retained or identified quality professional staff to run the Club and not installed his children into high profile expensive directors positions to leech money from the Club and protect against his displacement if found to be a fraudulent unscrupulous individual.

He has always had Leeds United at his heart and was never interested in any other English football club, so at last we have an owner that is not interested in playing a high stakes game of Football Manager.

Things are looking more positive that they have done since Ken Bates liquidized the Club and came out with staff and facilities intact.

It looks like Morrison IS Staying with us for the coming season. MC states he can get him to be a hit.
Am I the only one who worries about our front line of Morrison and Hunt?
I left out McCormack as I think we should ACCEPT £7 million or more for him, we could get some decent player for that!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I suspect the warm words about Morison are about making the best of a bad job. He's on the books for however and there's not much point in saying 'I hear this guy is a donkey who Warnock acquired after a 'brainstorm' that would shame Mr Dumb from Planet Dumb. He's just going to sit about twiddling his thumbs running his contract down'.

You never know. Morison just might surprise us .

Hmmmm.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree Freddie but think it was GFH who capitalised not warnock ;(

Agree0 Disagree0

Have we all got short memories of when Morrison totally destroyed us when mill wall kicked our as##s with his runs and beat our centre backs to every header which led to Norwich signing him?it was obvious Brian mc did not like him from the word go.so I say let's give him a good run out and let's see what he can do with some decent service because he runs the channels well and would work his socks off given the opportunity.

just a thought if brian mac could not get anything out of players like cam stewart noel hunt steve Morrison what makes mc that hockaday can

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Maybe Hockaday will play everyone in their strongest position?

Also, It's a case of giving everyone a chance to show what they can do, and if it's not good enough THEN we get rid?

I can remember sitting next to the crocks at Leeds v Hreford in the first round of the FA cup, which we lost, the lowest point in the club"s history. J. Doiglas, That Bulgarian bloke and that guy who came from Newcastle age 47. I unfortunately lost my temper with the assembled bunch of groin strains, telling them they were overweight and overpaid. The manager at the time was a bit of a name. He is currently out of work. Most of our recent managers are likewise. I have said for years that having one man responsible for success or failure is ridiculous. If we work harder and are fitter than the opposition we will succeed. It"s true at every level of what is a simple game.

In the interview with hock when he refered to man management of certain players he belives they will really suprise us this season. Anyone else think he was reffering to Cameron Stewart as one of them?

As cellino is tryin to cancel his deal no Stewart didn't leap to mind Morrison and to a lesser extent hunt did!

Why has all the focus moved to Wackady? I'm not over the moon about his appointment but he wasn't there last season! For all those with short memories, remember the heartless, spineless, talentless, overpaid prima donnas the were on the pitch last season! Apart from 2 or 3 players, not 1 of that rubbish deserved to wear our shirt! Let's not get too sidetracked with the Wackaday diversion! His time to prove himself is coming. Let's now focus on replacing the jokers the couldn't be bothered busting a gut every match for me beloved team! MOT

Mc is a clever bloke hence his millions, do you really think he would entrust his biggest investment to a muppet?
Back the hock!
if mc would have been in charge 2years ago warnock would never have got the job. Plus remember el tel he was the worst and he managed england and was very high profile at the time
