What you seem to be forgetting is that Beradi can play left back, and with Buckley joining it could mean Byram moves back into Right back and Beradi moves to left. While Taylor, who is a target for man Utd, gets sold in January for the rumoured 15M we use that money to sign Buklet and someone else permanently.

Does Berardi play left back? Think rb is his best position. Had enough of players playing out of their natural position

I'm doing an Aussie and answering my own posts now. Memory lapse. Of course he plays at left back. But I still prefer him at rb.
And are we all assuming only one young gun will go in January? Could be 2!!

We sell byram we don't wanna sell Taylor as well n I haven't seen 15mil anywhere so not sure where that came from. Would rather keep Taylor left back n berardi right back

I will be most displeased if we sell Taylor at all. If we sell him to Man U I shall be very angry. We have an England fullback for future in Taylor. Could be next Maldini.

George mate I agree totally about Taylor, however, I placed a nice little wager on him to play for England before the year 2020 and got 33/1! Fancied backing Cook but odds were only 5/2 if I remember correctly. Anyway, my point is if Taylor goes to the the other lot my bet instantly becomes a lot more like a 6/4 chance and I could be collecting 680 quid. F it, I still hope he stays and I can collect a few years later! MOT.

Cork, your ability to get past the editor is as good as Taylor's ability to go past people.

Manyoo, you can stick your money up your.

All of Man United went to Rome to see the Pope and this is what he said.

Good win for the under 18s. They must be on cloud 9.

lots of devided opions at the moment and lots of people unsure about our season so far. I think it has been decent but not impressive. Our points total is ok and we are proving hard to beat although a little lucky. So far it has reminded me of when george graham took over and we were boring yet hard to beat. It gives a platform to build on. however 1st half derby and at points last season we showed our players are capable of better. I hope we kick on and show more pace, ability to hold ball and creativity and skill. we do not need new players. our players are good enough to go up we now need right tatcis, game plans and start playing with the right patterns of play and imputus. I hope we pick up or fear uwe could come under pressure

Am actually really happy with the season so far. All the draws were starting to get worrying, that we might drop too far behind the playoff spots, but we are only 1-3 points off a playoff place (depending on how Brum do with their game in hand) and if we can maintain or better that gap up to January we have a great chance of a playoff berth if we don't lose many players through the window.
Am also glad we are looking hard to beat, even if we seem to be lacking Uwes heavy metal approach, that's how top teams start to build for a good couple of seasons. Its how Bolton came through the leagues and got to the prem with big Sam, its how Chelsea got to the top of the league under Jose the first time round and Middlesbrough look to be a lot less goal shy already this term but still really hard to break down, as a result they are currently second. Make yourself hard to beat then add a player or two with flare to turn draws into wins.
My only huge disappointment all season was Rosler using 4-4-2 against Ipswich. Changing an unbeaten formation seems mad to me and could have cost us the points that would have put us into the top six already.

Bermo got to disagree with your post. Players can't just show extra skill, creativity or pace. You've either got it or you haven't. Rosler has us playing for the most part to our strengths ensuring we don't concede much. I am pleased with our start don't get me wrong but still feel we lack squad depth in certain areas. Personnel wise as things stand we are going to come in exactly where I thought we would, around about 9th. This is what Rosler expects also. I believe we will recruit the kind of players you are looking for next summer with Byram funds and further investment.

I agree BW I think that games have shown a lot to be optimistic about and altho not firing on all cylinders we have the raw materials to progress. The squad is capable, it is not necessarily speed of leg that gives an attack pace ( altho it would never go amiss) it is the speed of the ball being moved from back to front and from what I see all are capable of one touch, quick touch, passing.
Without meaning to state the obvious the more you recruit the more you have to disappoint each game and if you are looking to plug gaps it seems the young stars conveyor belt is working quite nicely.

So what, the mancs keeping possession against Southampton yesterday, who cares?
They've been watching videos of how to keep the ball from a particular game against the saints in the 71/72 season. They couldn't match the 7-0 score line though, they'll never be that good.

I still still say we have an in balance in the squad or 'bad mix' as E Gray says. Too many centre mid fielders and a lack of pace and creativity. Defence looks shaky because of the personnel but also because we invite the opposition on by poor possession and 'nous' in midfield. If Byram is still holding out on his contract I would let him go and try bringing in a strong pacy CH, who does not go to pieces when faced with nippy strikers with good feet like Bamba and Cooper often do. The latter has, however, got better of late. We need pace and guile in the middle so we can move from defence to attack quickly and maintain control when under pressure. The midfielders at the moment don't have that ability. We have quantity but not a wide enough range of quality. The one player we must try to keep is Charlie Taylor. There are not many quality left backs about. We would struggle to replace him. We can replace Byram and perhaps one other midfielder to make improvements but that's all.

i do not think this is a player or personally issue. we showed last year we can counter attack and play with pace (last year some performancers who full of this and showed great quality) this year we should be better as dallas and wizard only add to the pace, creativeity and general quality. I am starting to feel that although our start has been good and results promising we need to improve and this is a tactical fault and not players. I still think uwe deserves more time before I get on his back and results have been decent but think we need to work on getting best out of players and sqaud and improving our game plan
