I am an 18 year old Leeds fan from Brighton. Now all you older people will think well what does he know, but I am fed up with the negativity on show from our fan base. Yes we are a club with high expectation, but I am someone who has been brought uo in the last few years watching leeds start to recover from their fall from grace.

We all need to help the side by attending the games and filling the crowd, I have been 7 times this season, and for me its a 9 hour round trip, so pull your fingers out, show some loyalty and back Neil Warnock, he has no matter what people say done well with what he has, people who have said oh these players won't get in a blue square side, need to wake up, he has brought in players such as green, pearce, peltier, ashdown, who when called upon have pllayed well. He signed austin who is prem quality and he has tied down mccormack and white, so I say well done to the man, a very talented manager, and if he can't get us up, no one will.

Many thanks, Tom From Brighton! MOT.

Believable15 Unbelievable14

Good effort mate, quite a round trip. I agree we all should make more of an effort, myself included and i'm in leeds! ..and I intend to do so, recently ended my boycott and have been to two games at ER since takeover, will look to goto another 5/6 this season. Had BAtes still been in charge would have been none, remain worried that he still owns TA and ER.
Dont quite agree about NW feel he should be doing better, tactics seem to lack variation and when that happens teams find it easy and predictable to play against you. Players heads look like they have gone down a bit as well, this for me is the difference between good and bad management, you quite simply do not let that sort of thing take hold.

There are other issues about the squad, largely assembled by NW albeit under Bates stringent wage structure meaning we have a team of mostly half arsed 30 something journeymen. didn't see a huge amount to inspire confidence against BCFC, will reserve judgement at the end of the t'fer window as to the ambitions/intentions of NW and GFH for the remainder of the season.

a previous poster made a good point- and let's be honest why would high want to give a manager funds if he probably won' t be with us next season? It makes more sense trying to do the best we can with what we have or by spending a relatively small amount in this transfer window? Then come the summer perhaps we' 'll see a new manager and some real investment? As an investment company they will be happier than us fans to take a slightly longer view regarding getting back into the premier league! Keep the faith! MOT

Our season should not have come down to requiring 3 really good players in 10 days but it has!! We need a winger with guile and pace a striker with pace and knows how to score and a central midfielder who can spray it around. We can put up with White at LB until the summer but unless those 3 players arrive in 10 days season is over!! Shouldn't have come down to that.

Believable13 Unbelievable0

We basically need a new Snodgrass and Gradel and for first time in ages a top passer. Really depressing way to think but had we kept Snods and Mad Max we would actually be no lower than 4th in my opinion.

Agree9 Disagree2

Our defence for the past few years has been, and til is, crap, look at our goals against, need more creativity in midfield and players who can cross a ball, were still mile away from challenging for promotion with the side we have.

Agree4 Disagree0

Cant agree more the defence has been pi55 poor for a number of years now. am I one of the only fan who thinks that with the players available to us the way to play is 523, or 532
ashdown
byram, peltier, austin.pearce, white
green, diouf, tongue/hall
becchio mac
to me the best side we have got player wise availabe

barkley is a cm that can take on players and put in a good pass . we also have dawson who can see a pass but he hasn't been given the chance yet. a lb is needed and a lw that would be enough . we really don't need a striker but it looks like we are going to get 1 anyway.
warnock needs to put more faith in our strikers .as soon as he came to leeds he wanted rid of mccormack and if we had money in the summer he probably would of been sold but lucky for us we didn't have to see him sold as he was needed

Agree0 Disagree1

22 Jan 2013 07:21:05
why would you play austin cb if anything defensive play him in a anchor man position . no barkley ?
we tried 5 at the back this season and we don't know how to play that way and its not the time to try learning .

Agree0 Disagree1

The three players that we need have all been at the club over the last 2 years-and whilst I usually say that you should never look back we could do a lot worse than get back Beckford/Gradel and, although I will probably get a load of abuse, Kilkenny as the one player over the last few years who can actually pass a ball more than 5 yards. Like I say, as a rule you should not look backwards but these are players who know the club and would sit straight in.

Not a rumour but a suggestion- why not take someone like Louis Saha. I know he is getting on but he is a really good player and could def boss it in this league. We could conceivably get him as well. Just an investment in wages. Come on GFH.....you know you want to.

Graham Dorrans is the quality type of player GFH should be giving the go ahead to sign for Leeds United. A signing of his standard would definitely make an improvement to the squad. Strachan & Macallister type of player and they were part of the best midfield in the land when they played for Leeds alongside Batty & Speedo.
Young Redmond from Brum and Faurlin from QPR, c'mon GFH this is money on three players that will definitely get you a return with interest big style when promotion comes. Warnock would have to change from hoof ball to football tactics too.
Strachan, Macallister, Batty, Speedo; they were the days.

Believable18 Unbelievable0

I really hope the guys at GFH are reading some of these rumour websites. BCFC are having a firesale, Redmond, King and others available to offers. Prem teams are letting squad players go and there are some great free signings out there. Frankly speaking I would be happy with Redmond, Faurlin and Dorrans. If Becchio goes then replace him, that would be it

Agree3 Disagree0

We need to wake up and smell the coffee and stop giving GFH all the excuses they need. They told us that the money to buy the club does not affect transfers in Jan, as they said they'ld put money to the side seperate for transfers, all £350,000 of it. I carn't wait to see what the summer holds for us long suffering fans. Does my head in when people say get behind the team, support the lads in the white shirt, know matter what price or sh+t player or not a clue manager is out there. BO++OCKS!!! The only thing that has changed at are club, is the men at the top. Granted they've lowered tickets but what else could they do, with crowds dropping like flys. Do they really think that's what will get them floking back.
I say to GFH, if the jobs to big, then sell it to the Saudi's, atleast they were ready to spend some good money. That is all it would take but saying nothing is doing them no help at all.

Apparently the West Yorkshire police after discussions with both clubs have relented and agreed to a 3pm kick off instead of 12.30 when we meet next month. This is due to improved behaviour and a thaw in relationship between both sets of fans, which is how it should be.

I'm confused warnock dosent seem to know what's happening with transfers. Sat before game it was probably none. Then maybe 2 at the death and now it seems we e signed one. Am I the only one that seriously think warnock is an empty pic nix basket? The bloke has completely lost his marbles. His team haven't a clue what tactics to use. He slags off players and fans but thinks he is brilliant. He is a out and out raving lunatic and can somebody tell me what he means when on the os he says he thought leeds were nervous against Bristol city. How can a professional football team earning around approx 200k a year be bloody nervous against the bottom team in the league. I feel that a left back needed could be Murphy from Birmingham solid and consistent they are also going through a cash crisis so this may be possible if we can sort the wages out. We need a winger Wallace from burnleyis quick and a great crosser to give Becchio the service he needs and for a striker we should sign Jackson from Norwich pacey just what were lacking. Send Somma out on loan to get his match fitness also Poleon

Believable7 Unbelievable0

We can all see what we need but Warnock carn't see the end of his crow nose. I can not see any good players coming in because GFH are eecking it out till end of window, with crap exscuses ie, players asking for to much, clubs not wanting to let players go. The real answear is, we do not have any money to play with and because of this, GFH were silly to buy us, if they didn't understand the real reason fans have stayed away.

Neil Warnock has admitted Leeds have fallen short of automatic promotion this season, but has not given up on a late run for the play-offs.

Leeds, who have lacked the consistency to mount a realistic challenge for a top-two finish under the former Sheffield United and QPR manager, remain five points adrift of a play-off place following the weekend victory over Bristol City, which was their sixth straight home league win.
"We're not good enough for automatic, let's not kid ourselves, " Warnock said.
"We've just got to preserve, improve the squad, and give yourself the best chance we can to get in the play-offs. I still think anybody's capable of that in the top half of the division."
Warnock, who took charge of Leeds on February 20 last year, added: "We've shown in a lot of games that we can beat anybody. But we've also shown that we can lose to anybody.
"The consistency at the top of the league means we are where we are and it's why we're looking for two or three players to move us up towards the other clubs. That's what I'd like."

Really warnock? we're not good enough? its your TEAM that you MADE and you CONTROL if anything YOUR not good enough....i wouldn't mind but if warnocks openly coming out with things like this we should be shot of him.....

dont understand peoples problems with becchio he's one of the clubs top all time goalscorers. it isn't his fault we play long ball the blame ends at warnock they still attempted it in the first half against birmingham without him. it is clear to see we need to pass the ball about and becchio is easily capable of doing this we played good attacking football under grayson with him at top and why would wigan a passing team won't him if he cant. he came from barcelona be so he may be good in the air when given the correct service but we will be able to pass as well. we are only were we are because of him we would be in a relegation battle without him so we need to keep him to send out a statement we are attempting to move forward and become the force we once was

Last week I posted about how well we played at Birmingham, where we passed and the movement was good, I stated that having Becchio in the side changes our game to the long ball. OK many of you slated me, well all of you that did were you at the game Saturday?, this is crazy, a Sunday pub defender could defend against us playing the long ball like this. I am telling you all again we have got to stop this, Bristol out passed us, wait let me say it again Bristol out passed us. When we pass and move and hit the front men on the floor we are a totally different team, OK maybe I am blaming Becchio too much, but he is a old fashioned centre forward, he does not like it on the floor he cannot hold the dam ball. We have got several good ball players now who's game is being disrupted by this long ball, we only need another couple of play makers, a top ball playing forward, McCormack, Diouf and Somma and I tell you we will be in the playoff's. Sell Becchio now if we can get good money, there is no hoping hell that a premier club will be that stupid as to buy Becchio not a chance, they would be crucified in the premier with the long ball that's why nobody is interested. Come on NW, I really do think you know the issue so get it sorted. Kevin Leeds 50 years

becchio is good with his feet its just the fact the ball just gets smashed up field to his head .this is why we need fast wingers so they get beyond our strikers and then when the ball is crossed in the strikers will be arriving at the right time instead of waiting for it and getting marked out .

Agree5 Disagree3

I didn't see as much hoofball on saturday, and usually the hoofball came from the keeper which is expected, Becchio will always be Kennys target, there wasnt much hoofing from our defenders or midfielders so it wasnt as frustrating to watch, we did get it down a lot more

Agree2 Disagree1

Becchio doesn't struggle with long ball it suits him he is a target man, the rest of our players struggle. In becchios time at leeds I hardly doubt that this season you can say is the worse he has had due to tactics...

I've got funny feeling GFH are not going to be around for too long. They have not come out since the T/O and told us what there plans are. Which leads me to believe, they have none. I think they bought us at the time, in the hope they could bring the Saudi's back in at the end of the season. I do feel it was true, when people and the media were saying GFH were just the brokers but they had put some of there own money and couldn't back out. Every T/O I have seen, not long afterwards the new owners have come out with a statement with there intensions. Why so silent? I think with all Bates dodgy dealings and 20 odd companys attached, the saudi's pulled away from the mess. Gfh I feel are just here to sort the trangled mess out and once done, the saudi's will come back to the table. I could be wrong but if i'm right then things will get a lot better then this and I broke the news first but probably a million miles away.

Agree9 Disagree1

They will be about for the foreseeable future. They have only been in charge a few weeks and openly admitted they have to find their feet, which is why Harvey and bates are still about. Sadly I think this season will be a learning curve for next season. Also they own the business and although we are fans they have no obligation to tell us anything. Do the owners of man united give a weekly update about what they want to do or do fans find out in the papers like everyone else.
