I also hope that the fan that personed our keeper gets sorted out, cos it isn't fair for all your fans to get tarnished with the same brush.
Lets hope we all have a good season, except for the Blades.

Just like to apologise as a Leeds fan I'm very embarrassed by the actions of a minority, we all have fans that behave badly at times and it is something we either have to deal with or sort out. I would also like to support Mr Warnock for having the guts to come out publicly and apologise for his comments regarding Chris Kirkland, however it's a shame that Dave Jones doesn't do the same for tarnishing all Leeds fans with the same brush. As GFH have stated they would like to have the deal wrapped up by the end of the month. Bates usually only attends home matches, he should be around for the Charlton and Birmingham games giving GFH time to tie things up. They obviously all have busy schedules so would have planned when to meet up next to finalise things and sign the deal.
Birmingham at home will see the deal completed.... you heard it hear first.

Have to say that I am ashamed to be associatated with LUFC at the moment - I have been a Leeds fan for 41 years and am thoroughly ashamed. Discraceful behaviour by so called Leeds fans (and I don't just mean the person who assaulted Kirkland, also the persons who patted him on the back for a job well done!). The sooner they are all brought to justice the better for everyone. Warnockdid'nt cover himeself in glory either, coming out with a stupid statement of "but Chris went down like a sack of spuds" - well, you would too matey if caught blindsided by a thug - not called for in my book. Not Leeds's greatest hour and hopefully this will not affect the takeover - if and when it finally does happen. MOT

To be fair Warnock is a total ****** ****. Lets hope we both move on from this disgrace.

Really really unimpressed with last nights performance. Austin was understandably tired after just getting in from jamaica but that asks the question why did he start in the first place he clearly wasnt fit. Glad to see norris come back on as a sub and i think michael tonge has improved a lot since joining us but we lack a lot of creativity. Counting down the days till mccormacks back, our best player by a long way.

Beefy, LEEDS

Can FA kick us out of the League? They might refer us back to the 1985 incident at St Andrews and the 1990 demolition of Bournemouth.

Believable1 Unbelievable12

You should be, we dont want this in football, i know their are genuine fans of your club and its just a minority, but to make it worse your in the process of a take over, i 'd keep my money and run

Agree2 Disagree18

So because of one "fan" a club should be removed from the football league? Really, because that is a silly point of view from a football fan. What if this happened to your club? One stupid, mindless person did something like that and you were kicked out of the league?

Agree8 Disagree1

And what bout the sw fans are they a minority too could you not hear them sing bout them 2 poor lads that lost there lives yeah we chanted bout your manager being a pedo why is he gettin upset is it co he is? makes ya wonder? should he not just laugh it off like wornock done why did them chants hurt him so much bunch of hipocrites anyway is all ye are!
irish leeds fan!
p.s kirkland did make a meal of it by the way although NW should of kept his comments and frustration to himself been honest at least we have the balls to own up against our so called fan for his antics cant see ye doing the same!

Agree6 Disagree2

No but your manager should be banned from football all together.

Agree0 Disagree8

Although last nights actions of this person and a small minority are disgusting i feel its been made a bigger deal because its leeds.... what about the leeds players been assaulted by carlisle fans a few seasons ago ? that seemed to get brushed under the carpet maybe the public and the FA thought it's only leeds so who cares. I saw a comment from a man utd fan earlier on another site saying we should be given the maximum penaltys available i asked him if he remembers cantona assaulting a fan but he didnt reply.... Every club has an person whether it be a player or fans people should remember that

Wat a Dhead. All over the world news. 15 minutes of fame that let's hope the dick gets a year for. See how woebegone the person thinks it was after a tear in prison
Point 2
Sooner than later lady luck is goonna run out. If we shouldn't have beaten Barnsley and can't beat Wednesday were in trouble! Why do we have to be brutal? Why brown and varney. Bring on the young and skillful.
Point 3
Grayson got a nose bleed when the whites were doing well, is warnock introducing the wrong tactics. We are doing better than most thought but we are capable of a lot lot more with the right team pick, formation and game plan.
Point 4
Why the f... Is Rooney playing striker for England?? He is a midfielder with an eye for goal

apart from the persons that have disgraced our club last night, i think our tactics were shocking too, this long hit and hope is going to get us nowhere, brown punted the ball up field at least five times last night without pointing towards thier goal,we can't play this type of football, it will only see us slide down the table eventually.we need a better passing game, weds were alot better then us and look where they are, varney, brown should never wear the shirt again in my opinion,i like warnock and was pleased when we got him,and still am, but we gotta do better then that on and off the pitch

Believable11 Unbelievable0

I think Brown did okay, considering he was basically doing both his and Austin's role. I think we should have started with Norris and rested Austin to be perfectly honest. But I do agree with you about our long ball tactic as Becchio was not have his best game and everyone could see it but we still insisted on playing long ball and giving it away every single time.

Agree2 Disagree0

Agree with all that. We're losing it in midfield. I'm sick of Brown....shouldn't be starting. Hopefully Green will add some more quality in that area. RW

Agree1 Disagree0

That is how warnock plays football not very exciting but gets the points

Agree1 Disagree1

Couldn't agree more. We've had a few decent results lately but the fact remains we're a poor team utterly devoid of ideas going forward.

Barnsley outplayed us and we won with a very didgy penalty. Last night was embarrassing even before the people started trouble and bad refereeing saved us again.

Oh, and all you Grayson haters out there, go look at the table.

Sorry if I'm in a minority but time will prove me right. Warnock's long ball and opposition kicking belongs in the dim and distant past.

Agree3 Disagree4

Look at the table?,3 pts diff is all with a small and depleted squad, get a life or go support town if u think grayson is god, can't believe some of the whingers and moaners supporting us

Agree1 Disagree0

People can support their team but be unhappy about the choice of manager. Those two things are not incompatible.

I think Warnock is a dinosaur. His relegations outnumber his promotions 3:2. The way his teams play is unattractive and never works in the premiership. He might get us up on a budget but we'd be straight back down. Why bother?

GFH should plan for the future if the takeover happens.

To the person that ran on the pitch last night ... i seriously hope you get some time, you can then reflect on what a Dkhead, you have been.

You have set out clubs back years, if the potential investors now pull out , wont you be a popular boy !

I also think that Jones was bang out of order, tarnishing us all with the same brush.

A bit of banter is ok, but we are grown ups, other teams will not see that Turkey is trigger pint for us and they will all have fun using it to against us.

Wednesday fan here. I know what Dave Jones said is wrong but it has to be said that at least half of the Leeds fans at that game chanted vile chants about Jimmy Saville. I could here every word from down in the kop. There may have been isolated incidents of foul chanting from the Wednesday fans down at your end but not on mass like your lot. The person that ran on the pitch is overshadowing the fact that you threw bottles into our fans, you ripped up chairs and chucked them and other missiles at Kirkland. You kicked off advertising boardings onto or possibly onto your own fans. What kind of people would do that. Then your players applaud you. DISGRACE, sort yourselfs out.

I posted an apology about the incident last night, by that moron. However I'm still waiting to see one single apology about Wednesday fans celebrating and chanting about the deaths of two innocent Leeds fans in Turkey. Reconciliation and football can only move forward when stupidity is acknowledged by all and condemned.

Believable17 Unbelievable1

Im a wednesday fan and dont condone it at all but wednesday only started singing that becouse your fans were singing about dave jones being a pedophile and songs about jimmy saville oh and you were also singing about the 96 what died at hillsborough! it seemed to me like you were good at giving it but couldnt take and had to start hitting goal keepers ripping seats up and throwing bottles there for i dont think we owe you lot an apology tbh {Ed013's Note - I suggest you take back the comment about the 96, Leeds fans have always had respect for them}

Agree0 Disagree3

100 % agree mate.
Heres a copy of the post i put on the wednesday page.
Yet another Leeds fan on here to apologise to Kirkland and all Owls fans for the c*** who assaulted your keeper.
I am impressed with how many Leeds fans have been on your site to apologise and condemn.
I am, however, greatly disappointed in Wednesday fans as not one of you has been on our site to express any remorse in the slightest about the Istanbul songs you were chanting, which as we all who were there know only too well was the catalyst that caused the commotion. To hear songs sung to taunt visiting fans about dead football fans in a stadium with the sad history that Hillsborough has is shocking. Very disappointed in the massive indeed and i hope this is all blown over by the time you get to Elland Road and that game ends in peace.
M

Agree3 Disagree0

Im agreeing with the original poster here, not the monkey above from Wednesday.
I had the misfortune to be near the Owls fans last night and heres how it ran to me....
The usual inter-fan banter songs, who the f*** are you etc etc. all good fun.
A leeds minority sing the paedo and saville songs, most of us are disgusted.
We scored, the t*** went on the pitch.
Wednesday retaliate with songs of Istanbul. Yes it was you that started the nasty stuff. The atmosphere changed instantly.
Then there was the few, people (yes that word), who started the 96 and your fault song in retaliation again.
As i remember it, thats how it ran.
You wednesday fans are not blameless here, you are not innocent. Youre statement above is akin to your managers knee jerk reactions full of bile and hate because of a few persons on each side of the railings.

Believable10 Unbelievable1

What a w**ker how embarassing to be a leeds fan

Agree7 Disagree4

Why embarrassed to be a Leeds fan, what did the club do wrong?,what did the players do wrong?,if your talking about the absolute wan-er that shoved Kirkland in the face, the word should be disgusted, andd the vile chanting is just as bad,any encroachment on the pitch should incur a hefty fine and total ban from all grounds what could Leeds United as a club ,or sny other club do to prevent incidents like this?,the answer is obviously nothing at all,if a guy gets it in his head to run on the pitch, theres very little at the moment to stop it,measures need taking to at least make it a lot harder for this to happen,so forthe powers that be to impose harsh punishments on Leeds as a club, imo,is bang out of order, hit the culprits hard rather than the clubs.

Completely disagree with this fools actions! But for Dave jones to tarnish all us Leeds fans with the same brush... Not on!
Sussex White

Believable14 Unbelievable1

A lot of Leeds fans were singing the Paedo song. Given that Jones was not only found innocent but subsequently shown to have been the victim of a compensation scam, I can fully understand why that song upsets him. It's vile and we should all be embarrassed not just by the tw*t on the pitch, but by the bottle throwers, the chair throwers and everyone chanting that song.

No excuses about Istanbul songs please; that's also vile but that's their problem not ours. We need to cut out the Jones song, the Munich songs and all the other vile chants of a small minority of people not worthy of being called fans. They all bring shame on us.

If I were in GFH's position I'd be having serious doubts right now. The consequences of last night could last for two decades.

Agree8 Disagree3

Also during the game Wednesday players did not set a very good example both brown and becchio were basically assaulted on the pitch by being kicked, elbowed and punched. Not an excuse. {Ed001's Note - I don't think you can really use that excuse when Warnock has always sent out his teams to kick the opposition into submission. Brown was very lucky not to be sent off on at least two occasions. It was a derby and extremely physical, but the fans should be too busy supporting the teams to get involved in trouble. Unfortunately it is becoming more and more the fashion to abuse the opponent, rather than cheer on your own team. I mean amongst every set of fans, not referring to Leeds or any one particular team there.}

Agree3 Disagree0

That's why I said no excuse! My reasoning for mentioning it is that jones has not apologised for this or mentioned the chants coming from weds fans, behaving like that on the pitch does not help , but no excuse.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said ed001. Apparently it's ok to assault our keeper because a few elbows flew during the match.

The response to the Kirkland incident from the vast majority of Leeds fans has been magnificent. So much so that I very much hope that the club isn't punished. We all have various forms of pond life following our teams. Let's hope they catch and severely punish the pepetrator and bring the episode to a close. But Ithink the chanting aimed at DaveJones
is no longer funny. Especially as he was innocent. Just watch the match instead.

Leeds fans are legend for their support ( I've even got a vid on youtube proclaiming it!) All of those who've been to away games know they have to defend themselves if charged by opposing fans, BUT THIS IS TRUELY MORONIC! Who is going to want to invest in a club who are known for violence and foul play? Which rich investor wants to put his name to that? The nutter who attacked Kirkland is scum... Should be banned and locked up.
Jones comments don t help. Bit of a knee jerk reaction that stirs up further issues.
When the dust settles, questions need to be asked about why this game was on a Friday night. It was always going to add a bit extra to am already tense atmosphere. Would other big derbies be played on a Friday night? Liverpool v Everton? Celtic V Rangers? Usually Saturday lunchtime kick off calms things down.
No excuse for that type of behavior though. Not proper fans. No respect.

Knee-jerk is right, with the emphasis on Jerk...he needs to look up the word racism too! Don't think NW's Sack of potatoes comment was appropriate either!

This is a message for all Leeds fans. The person who attacked Chris Kirkland this evening was seen by millions not only to assault the player, but to celebrate the assault as he rejoined his approving friends. This evening brought the club into disgrace and it wasn't just one deranged youth, but all those who welcomed him back and failed to identify him to the police. We now have the opportunity to make public our views that these people do not represent us. It's just a game, ladies and gentlemen, not a blood sport. The excellent job Warnock is doing is going to be overshadowed for the rest of the season by people condemning the club for having such fans - and the people doing the condemning will be right. Can I ask the editor how fans - that is to say people who wish the club well as opposed to those who want to drag its name throught the mud - can register their dismay at what happened this evening? {Ed013's Note - Social networks and media are doing it already. If anyone has any info then get in touch with South Yprkshire Police. Last night was a disgrace and I am so glad I left my son at home}

I have posted on this website dozens of times. But tonight I am so disappointed to be a travelling away Leeds supporter. Anybody that says it was one fan that ran on the pitch and caused this is delusional. All night "fans" were shouting of hate filled vile crap a lot which was racist rubbishe (even though alot of our team is black) and we when we scored the goal at least ten - fifteen "fans" decided to jump on the pitch. Over the last ten years I have afforded and paid to get to 100+ away matched. I will now longer no more until at least the nutters decide to be at least human and people and other fans take a stand to it go to away matches. I love my team but I hate hatred. {Ed013's Note - I was in the Upper tier and didn't hear any racism. I heard cmments about Dave Jones which were out of order and comments about Jimmy Saville which were out of order. If you see who does it, tell them to stop or record them on your phone and tell a steward and hopefully they will do something about it}

By my name one of the ED's knows I have posted on this site multiple times, i was sat just right of the right of the goal. The rubbishe I heard made me feel sick some times. Could feel it boiling over even before kick off. If we want to be let alone be treated like a premiership team our "fans" need to behave like premiership fans. These so called fans are some of the same fans who moan about finances but yet dont give a rubbish about causing problems when the club are going to get fined 1000s of pounds for their actions
