just out of interest but this 1 million a month we are losing, where is it going? and are we still paying the wage bill owed to some former players from the last time we were in administration? or are we paying ridiculous money to some of the current players.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

A combination of overpaid journeymen on excessive contacts brought in by warnock and the rent being paid for er and ta. Few if any of our rivals have this kind of millstone around their necks holding them back.

Agree0 Disagree0

Plus the east stand which ken bates was responsible for but that is finished before the new season starts

Agree0 Disagree0

As poster 3 said the payments being made for the East Stand work are a big strain on cash flow. The income available for payment of day to day running costs is lower than it should be because it is being diverted to pay for the cost of building work. When this stops in the summer the losses will drop significantly and the wage bill can be reduced. Get through this summer and the position should improve!

I wonder what is really happening! Cellino, the take over, the purchase of the ground and the future of the club!?! I am really worried, as are so many of you guys/girls. Why can't we just have a bit of luck for a change! Getting very depressed! GHF should at least let us know the reality should the sale not happen! What is the real state of the club and can they afford to keep us?

we will still be in a better position than the season we went down to league 1 .

Not sure about that! If we are skintight then we could be going back there! would be nice if the current owners actually provided a statement with regard to their intentions, should this deal fold! Theft clearly haven't been paying the bills!

Well no takeover news no surprise! But does anyone know if this new lad will be going into first team or youth team? He's not on first team on OS yet.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

The lad doesn't come until the summer

Agree0 Disagree0

He's not coming till summer

Agree0 Disagree0

I think that the takeover was nailed on not to be announced as soon as GHF started trying to flex their rather puny pecks! They're not the ones calling the shots and no doubt even if the FL were to decide today they would have delayed it just to show who's in charge. Apparently (according to news now) we will know tomorrow.

Is it me or are gfh persons thinking they can demand a decision by the end of play today.don't they know the fl don't give in to demands and will not be held to random. Post a reply if you agree

Believable0 Unbelievable0

GFH have shown their true colours. They don't want to pay this months wage bill so are desperate to push the takeover through. If the FL
Decline Cellino's purchase, expect to see loan sharks hanging around elland road followed by debt collectors.

In all seriousness, this is worrying!

GFH in Bahrain have no idea about how English Football is run!
They think they are more important and have more power than they are and do.
David Haigh and the board at LUFC would not send the letter because they know it will serve no useful purpose and may make things worse.
Almost since day 1 it has been GFH in Bahrain who have caused all the problems rather than their representatives here!
Bahrain are now panicking because they know, as things stand, they will have to pay March wages as they cannot let Club go into Administration. If Cellino is going to be declined they want time to find other prospective purchasers to pay March wages as they did with Sports Capital and Cellino.
If I had anything to do with Valencia I would not want this lot anywhere near my Club!

Stupid arrogant clowns they are a joke!

So, GFH have run out of pants to change into, well done lads, why not grab a couple of sticks and go and poke a rattlesnake, blimey. Just shows how absolutely desperate they must be. The FL have given their timescale, leave them to it

Would be interesting to see how optimistic the fans are about whether or not this takeover will be approved. 'Believable' for expecting approval, 'Unbelievable' for not.?

Can someone please tell me where is David Norris? and also whatever happened to 'highly rated' Monty Gimpel? Ed please shed some light

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed013's Note - Norris is injured and off in the summer as his contract is up. Monty was released last year and I think he is in full time education}

Ed do you know what robbie mcdaid's stats are for glenavons and notthern Ireland? I can't find any.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed003's Note - try Transfermkt.}

Norris isn't out of contract this summer. Has another year left

Agree0 Disagree0

I have looked on there and it says he has played 2 and Scored 2 for glenavons

why is Cellino getting judged by the football league in the first place he owns 10 percent of a company what is looking to buy 75% of Leeds United which means he would only get 7.5% to warrant doing a football league test don't you have to be trying to acquire AT LEAST 30% of the club

Believable0 Unbelievable0

20 Mar 2014 13:06:57
Irrelevant, even 'shadow' executives are subject to scrutiny otherwise anyone could have a 'front man' and then step in once the deal is complete. Mr Massimo went public, this impacted on any chance of him not being directly associated with the purchase! We could be subject to hefty fines if we don't play by the rules! We are trying to buy 75% of the club and so must be honest and open. Let's hope it all works out.

On news now site it says Leeds United have contacted FL in writing to request a decision on M Cellino ratification by the end of TODAY!

About time, Club is becoming a farce and needs someone to take it by the b@ll@cks and sort it. (sorry for stating the obvious)

Driving home from work I was wondering why we had fallen away and our form was so poor. It left me wondering whether there was a clause in the contract about an extra payment should we get promoted. Reading the YEP this morning my question was answered. I guess ten million is not a lot compared to the riches of the premier league, but don't we all love a good conspiracy theory. :)

Correct me if I am wrong Ed's but as I understand it a company called Eleonora sports is the one taking us over and not Cellino directly? Therefore they are the ones having to go through the fit and proper test and as part of that they have to prove where they are getting there money from. If some of that money is coming from Cellino, be it 10% or 100% depending on what reports you read about Eleonora sports then they will fail the test as the money is coming from a convicted tax evader (subject to appeal). So it doesn't matter if Cellino is named on the board of Eleonora sports or not, he is financing the deal so has to be looked into. That is my understanding of the situation, if I am wrong then please correct me.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed013's Note - That is correct, however Cellino is part of that company and owns more than 30% of it so has to go through the checks}

Ed-13 I thought Cellino only held 9.58% of Eleonora Sports?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed013's Note - The Football league aren't gullible enough to think that is the case}

Thats the problem with the shadow director claim, it does not deal in legalities only in assumptions we all assume things in private but legally they are different!

Good morning to all my fellow leeds fans.

I need to have a quick rant, so please excuse me.

I'm really annoyed about how the media have reported the entire takeover situation, they like to make fun of leeds and put us down at any opportunity. We are a proper old football club with loyal and dedicated fans, we deserve a bit more respect.

Moving onto GFH. I'm really dissapointed. I was at elland road in august vs Brighton when haigh and the rest of the directors were cheered and clapped as they paraded the ground. Without us fans spending our money on our beloved club there would be no leeds united and GFH need to remember that.

I still hope that cellino gets in, but hope is all I have.

If (and I'm not sure he will) Cellino fails the F&P test, will he then be forced to leave Cagliari, and if not how can he be rejected from owning one football club, and not another.
CH

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Don't think the Football League's influence stretches as far as Italy!!

Agree0 Disagree0

I understand that! It was more the principle of it I was commenting on. But thanks for making me sound stupid, appreciate it.
CH

Agree0 Disagree0

To be fair he WILL probably have to leave Cagliari, Not because he isn't "Fit and Proper" but more likely due to comparing them to a Fiat 500.

Not sure about their fans but I couldn't imagine many Leeds fans stomaching that.
