Use our rumours form to send us leeds transfer rumours.

Had a few at this point. But who can honestly say, believe, that we will sign anyone of note (ie Derby)? Hope I am wrong but cannot see us paying any transfer fees that is needed or wages. Not a doom merchant just a realist. MC has the cash, but does not not want to spend it. He is a business man looking to make a profit on his investment, so spending cash is not his requirement. He actually believed he could get us promoted on the cheap and is still arrogant enough to believe the same. And those who actually think be has our great club at heart need to get their heads tested. MOT my comrades.

I disagree cork
I don't think mc will throw his cash about on big money signings but he seems to be a quick learner. I think he may of thought a few b grade foreigners were good enough to win promotion but has realised that is not the case. He wants to make as much profit as poss so will want promotion.
He has already this last few weeks done more sensible appointments than last year so he is learning.
I'm willing to bet that along with a few b+ grade foreigners we will also see a few good quality championship experienced signings. We are not going to spend millions on one player but I reckon we will buy a few goodens and I also reckon that we will be in the play off mix this season
Which is an improvement on last season so is good.

{Ed007's Note - I don't know if it's been mentioned but according to the press in Scotland, Leeds & Sheffield Wednesday are 'battling' with Rangers to sign John Eustace.}

Worth a punt for a year or two ed I reckon

{Ed001's Note - I wouldn't put too much store in the Scottish press, they seem to have missed that Wednesday are a bit busy trying to sort out who is running the team to bring in signings just at the moment! I very much doubt that they would be considering signings until they know what the management structure will be and who is in charge, so they know what style of play they will be working with. Then they will be able to figure out the type of players to go out and bring in to fit. Though with Glenn Roeder involved, any kind of idiocy could take place and not be surprising!}

I'm trying to be optimistic again Corkwhite and hope MC does invest in the players Rossler and co identify. I do believe however we need to shift some of the dross we bought last season. Apart from the odd signing we brought in some rubbish who believe they are better than they really are. The wages add up and businessman or not we have to shift some of the freeloaders

Not sure what are realistic goals as a club are this season coming, everyone talks about getting the club where it belongs and all of that but when you see teams like Derby making signings like bent, wvieman and Baird there the sort of signings a team wanting promotion needs to be making not second string Italians or Germans who are as good as league 1 standard

Like BIGE says on the post further down until the transfer window opens no-one knows who we're really interested in and can only speculate. One thing we do know is we need wingers and I think we missed out on a trick with Pringle signing for Fulham. Would have provided good ammunition for our new lad Erwin but will instead by providing them for our old lad Matt Smith! Let's hope Rosler and co have got someone better in mind and we make at least three marque signings to go with the quality we already have. 20 goal striker and 2 wingers please.

We need an influencial mid fielder first and foremost to martial our young talent, then winger(s) and then if available 20+ goal striker. However Rosler has gone for Erwin initially so I don't how that fits with our proposed stike force and/or system.

I think Bianchi will come good this season and Murphy will continue to improve. We could do with an experienced player in there like Barton but for me priority is a striker to take the burden off Morrison!

Honestly think we will see a different side to some of the players we had last season. They were played out of position, or not played at all. With Rosler we will have a system and they will know what's expected of them. Need a winger or two and if Taylor continues playing on wing think we need a proper left back.

I agree with bige we need a bit more than just wingers though a decent striker or 2 might help as well because the ones we have on last seasons evidence are 2nd rate. mind you I don't know why we're discussing it because it ain't going to happen.if we still have the clown in charge after he's been to court again and again we'll be lucky to finish anywhere near 15th we were this season

I would like to bet that Watford will surprise everyone in the Premiership
Derby to be clear champions
Don't discount Burnley
That leaves one place up for grabs in my humble opinion.
It can't be Leeds as Cellino is trying to balance the books.
Manager to get the chop before Christmas and my tip is Radabe to take us back up where we must be the following season.
We will see.

Think Leeds will be in top six next season. Middlesborough, Derby, Hull, Preston also with one from Burnley, Wolves and Fulham. Think Brentford will struggle to get in top six this time.

Preston? Really? Heart ruling your head a bit there. I reckon Preston will go back down! Tough league this year.

Dont think its any tougher than last year really. Derby are spending but new manager, new players who knows how they will start off. Teams coming down will lose their best players so will have to replace. Preston are on a high, have a good manager and a good striker, if they have a good start can see them in top ten, maybe my heart is ruling my head to get them in top six.
