Sorry Redders but I would say a more lucky than dogged performance/result today. Silvestre, Byram and MOM Cook played well. However Bianchi had another game which passed him by and Pearce continues to put his team under unnecessary pressure. Odd use of Sharp today as he appeared to be utilised more on the wing. Sharp is a finisher not a provider. Defending from crosses is clearly our achilles heal as none of our defenders are prepared to attack the ball whilst midfielders are guilty of letting their allocated opponent drift past them.

Totally agree Notts White we had a lucky day two dodgy refs assistants decisions kept us in the game. Brave of Refearn to have 3 strikers on the bench for the first time but the main problem is not the strikers but the poor defending at set pieces. How many goals have we conceded this season through our inability to mark attackers better and not let them get their heads to the ball. Let's hope we get a tall ball winning centre back in the transfer window that redfearn will use and then perhaps we can keep some clean sheets

Agree0 Disagree0

Spot on both of you. The marking at the back is woeful far too often, and I don't want to blame JP alone, because he seems a nice lad. But sentiment aside. He's out of his depth

High time to drop Bianchi in favour of either Sloth or dare I say Austin. Tonge if necessary but it is clear Bianchi must be dropped or rested, doesn't matter how you slice it. Montenegro should be coming on last 20 minutes of a game regardless. Don't know what is happening with Redders but he is almost displaying Milanicesque caution.

Agree0 Disagree0

Your right George but if you notice Redders is at pains to point out that we perform better than we did under Milanic but he is starting to take a similar tactic stance

well bianchi only plays well when his mate plays at the back as he talks to him and gets him involved seams a bit lost when he's not around

Agree0 Disagree0

Upup
He's not the only one who's a bit lost when he's not around. And one at least is a bit lost even when he is around

That was awful to be honest but at least we came away with a point. Were going to need to raise that 10 times when we face Derby away on TV in a fortnight.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Spot on Smitch. Agree 100%. And bring back the Sloth for a go!!

Redders needs to come out and tell us why no sloth??? because we need something to steady that defence go out and get an attacking cb and a brickwall of a midfielder who breaks up play and distributes mot

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Baffled by his choice to bring on Tonge, Sloth should have replaced the ineffective Adryan.

Speedy your right! Valuble point and yes I thought here we go sharpy going to miss this but still we see glimpses of what we can do then it goes and our defence needs sorting bianci can't read game and as I ve said thousand times we need steal in the midfield and with the bottle of adrana he was man of the match in our side didn't stop hassling them still points a point mot

well as always a mixed bag. thought sharp and morrision did decent job on the wing. Sharp worked well and put some great balls into the box trouble is he needs to be on the end of them not supplying them. Big fan of the keeper. I have been very harsh on Sam Bryam but today he was good great pace, good quality and skill and wanted it. Not sure about adryan, mowatt is quality and eye for goal and cook has ability to be amazing (paul gascoine good). like cooper and warnock, just need to defend better, if any team is dodgy as set peieces and always looks to conceed and doesn't pose a threat other end from set peices they will struggle. Again look at sam allaydce and tony pulis they have made average teams better from that principle. thought we broke with pace even if not on wings but showed ability and quality at times. at most we are 11 players away from promotion.

Bloody good summary that berm

Agree0 Disagree0

'Sharp worked well'? Don't think so. Wasn't in the game first half. Stooged about a bit in the second. Scored a penalty - not of his making but fair enough. He is supposed to be a goal poacher but never in the box to do it. That, apart from poor defence was the major problem. When we broke forwardand did get wide there was often just one or no one that could take advantage of crosses etc. Sharpe is definitely not the answer.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hesslian, do you not think that Redfearn asked Sharp to play out wide? You are right that no-one was in the middle as Antennuci is allowed to roam. I would be annoyed if I were Sharp, he sits on the bench week on week watching feckless Doukara then when he gets his chance he is played as a winger. Redfearn is clueless

Agree0 Disagree0

That was my point sharp did well as make shift winger, worked hard and set up two and put in good great crosses, same he wasnt in the middle as he record would suggest 4 crosses he would of scored one. He is good and would do well in another championship team, my local teams, millwall, charlton would use sharp better and get more from a good goal scoring poacher, not sure why he was asked to play on wing but gave his all in position

Agree0 Disagree0

As I said on numerous occasions Sharpe has moved about a lot between teams and ultimately gets left out. He is a nearly man but with a repution for goal scoring. Why then can he not make it with the teams he been at other than of course in his early days.
As for Redfearn, if he is asking Sharpe to play wide, he is isn't giving him an even chance(winger he definitely isn't) and he (NR)is even worse than I thought at this level but he is not on his own. Saw Wickham come and play well down the middle only for him to be played wide, to no effect from then on. That was personic too but a different manager. that's happened at Leeds for years (eg left footers played on the rigt and vice versa etc etc) even going back to Brian Deane who often gets slagged off for doing just that when I know that's what he was asked to do. What is it about our coaches?

Well is it possible our luck is changing? Our first penalty (who else was convinced he would miss?), and both their 'offside' goals should have stood. A valuable point against a mediocre side

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Speedy, Don't care how we stay up as long as we do. Very rare luck is with us.

Totally agree and I can't see what Tonge can offer that's better than Sloth. Good to see Monty back on bench should be getting time on pitch though Hate to see all these players that let us down so badly last year still getting playing time.

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree Jim….been saying it for months…. but he still has his fans on here…….

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah Tonge ahead of Sloth is a strange one.

I have said from day one Sharpe is awful and he is awful again today, Adryan is over rated at present but has potential and the Pearce/Cooper partnership, if you can call it that, is an accident waiting to happen. Redfearn is no better than previous coaches as I have said all along. Worrying times. Redfearn says he is going to change things and get things right in training but doesn't in the same way he can't change things during the course of a game. Hasn;t the ability I'm afraid.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Agree with everything except Sharp. Oh and we still can't keep the ball long enough without giving it away.

What's the point of playing Sharp if we don't play with wingers.
He needs it putting on a plate to score.
Hope he makes me eat my words but I doubt it.

Pretty much same team again. great

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Sloth not even on bench? I'm bemused, he's looked v promising imo

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree Speedy thought he looked a good player don't understand how he's behind Austin and tonge in the pecking order

Agree0 Disagree0

And wow. Half their bench would get in our first team easy!

Agree with all these posts! I am guessing it must be something personal with Sloth.

Agree0 Disagree0

Something ain't right, I though Sloth looked decent. Plays for Denmark and Adyran ain't happening atm, he needs Sloth to push him

Agree0 Disagree0

When did sloth look promising.
