IF, and I personally think it's a big IF, we get Gradel back then we'll see Smith scoring about 20+ goals this season. With his crosses from the left and Byram's from the right then he'll terrorise defences even more in the 2nd half of the season.
Smith looks to be beginning to pick up the pace in the championship, albeit a few glaring misses each game, then I can see what McD saw him.

im not sure what money we will actually have to spend and yes i'd like to see gradel back.
but just a thought, what about kevin phillips.
now I know he's near end of career but his experience and workrate coupled with the fact he can still score goals,
be half decent back up if something happens to forwards and also to bring on, poacher.

heard a good one today, the league have accepted the new investors as right and proper and the deal was signed with cash payed on the 18th dec.if this is not true i think we are being sold the same s**t sandwich as bates fed us. all promises with no real basis, stalling tactics 'free beer tomorrow' again.
the person who told me the deal done is convinced it to be true.
lets hope its not another false dawn.

bates is a person, gfh have been honest with the fans since they got the club . how can you be thinking these things . cheer up, good times are a coming.

The Optomist - Not quite sure how you can infer that GFH are liars if a rumour from your friend turns out not to be true. To date I cannot identify an example of the fans being misled by the current owners. It is FACT that Haigh's consortium is looking to purchase the controlling share of the club and they hope to complete this before the end of December. The club is going in the right direction and we should remain patient

who inferred lying, i said rumors spring up and we jump on them, they lead you to believe all is well when i think the opposite they do not deny or agree with them. i believe they are broke, if the club is not sold soon any incoming transfers are pie in the sky, where have we heard this before. i hope i'm wrong.

Look at the stock exchange pal g.f.h. assets are £15m.the same as the value of our club, we are their only asset that's why they fishing round for inverters and selling 5% here and 5% there to keep things ticking over .
mark my words if they don't sell we (l.u.f.c.) the club will not buy in jan transfer window. they have got to sell and i believe haigh is in the same situation as g.f.h. he cannot afford to buy and run this club. right now he 'talks the talk but can't walk the walk' (full metal jacket) i would sell my soul for this club but unfortunately i lost that years ago 'fact' l.o.l.

Not a right lot to be honest. couldn't talk bout toma or transfers. just kept talking bout what they have done which think is great by the way but didn't tell us anything new.
When a company are granted a period of exclusivity to complete their due diligence it is quite normal that the terms of the agreement include a non disclosure agreement which means they are no allowed to say anything or they may be in breach of contract and the deal could break down. He is only abiding by the normal rules of any major contract. Shows me he's 'right and proper'

can't understand the obsession with buying forwards or wingers i.m.o. we need to stop leaking goal first.
if the donny goal had not been ruled out i think the game would have been very different.

we have slowed the leakage of goals compared to the last 3 or 4 seasons.
we need a winger or 2 just so we can have another plan .
we need strikers to take pressure off mccormack .i personally think billy sharp would be the ideal player to bring in if available .at moment he's on emergency loan .
We have one of the lowest goals against records in the league at the moment
