Why is there so much speculation about Byram? Maybe he is settled and will sign a contract at end of season?

Pigs will fly. His agent controls him. Average players are employees. Very good players and young prospective internationals especially are tradeable assets who are lured into giving up significant control over their future for the sake of big £ signs for their agents. Come New Year's Day I believe SB agent can start legitimate dialogue with other clubs directly. You think that opportunity will be missed? Even if it is only used as a bargaining chip for a better contract at Leeds but we can't compete with 35k a week anyway. He will go at end of season now. All SB twitter talk of loving the shirt is smokescreen. He don't love it enough to sign for 15k a week and the point is he can't. Only promotion makes him stay with us.

I have to agree with you George Byram will be gutted not to have achieved is dream move to the Premeir League and that big wage packet. He will be gone next season but for now he will have to put all that behind him knuckle down and start to play football like he can otherwise he he is going to spend a lot of the time warming the subs bench

I do agree with you guys ,but if I walked up to you and offered to double or treble your wages for doing the same job what would you do?
Maybe he will go in the Jan window!
These or this is a young lad who will have an agent talking wonders in his ear ,and we all know how many players have gone in the last number of years and have ended up doing there career more harm than good .

None of us have any idea what his mindset is. Everyone said he'd leave last summer and this summer but he hasn't. Maybe he hasn't committed to a new contract because when he was offered it the club was an absolute circus. Maybe he wants to see out the season and if there is more stability he'll sign on?

Agree Speedy - hanging on to our young talent may be the best bit of business we do. The video on Newsnow of Bokata looks promising too.

Feeling good about this season

agreed we finally got this 2nd winger if I am not mistaken? and from what I hear he is a bag of tricks and can score and create. I wanted sam to go rather than lose him on free but as I remembered we should get fee by tribunal as he is a youth product and under 23? (think that is the age limit on the tirbual fee thing). so even if he goes in the summer like with danny ings to liverpool the selling club should still get a fee. wonder who how it is worked out and how much we might get. I will now keep close eye on ings fee which I think is 6.5m be great if we kept sam and still got similar figure

Yeh I asked eds a few month back a fee would be decided as under 23 and cheers ed 01 I dunno how I didn't rember 8? Any news on the craig noone deal I imagine were guna do another adiyemi on them in loan window as I read slade isn't keen on him either hope peter wittingham pi**es him off i'd take him on all day long

Newcastle in for mowatt don't want to loose him not bovered about loosing byram now we have bokata as he won't knock beradi out of right back as him and taylor have been best players all season and if we get dyer who is ace for 31 2 or patterson were would byram ply boys n girl?

01 Sep 2015 15:25:03
If he going to sign contract I'd rather keep Byram he's still young with lots of potential n berardi isn't going to play well all the time

01 Sep 2015 17:26:33
Yeh but byram can get prem deal can you see him been happy on bench I like the lad but I just think with the money we've spent and the contract thing think he will go for 6mill

It would be a big mistake IMO to sell Mowatt. I don't think he has really started playing this season yet and when he does it'll be like signing a new player.
As the saying goes form is temporary, class is permanent.
I would also be amazed if Cellino let him go for £8m.

Yeh 8 mill is cheap i'm really surprised no one has tryed it on for cook especially after last performance he was un real against derby different class that boy and just 18 say it alltime but Dawson needs a loan spell preferably to Rotherham mk dons?

01 Sep 2015 21:24:03
I'm glad we didn't lose Mowatt or Byram, as they both have lots to offer. I'm not going to pretend I know anything about Botaka, but if he is a "Wizard", then I think Sam could be in for a spell on the sidelines. I don't think Mowatt is a shoo in for a midfield spot either especially with the formation Uwe looks to be adopting, but never the less these two are top class and hopefully the new signings will make Sam and Alex push even harder.

Cracking game at the weekend apart from a little dip just after half time. A few more goals like that should frighten the life out of most defenders. Good to see another signing. The future is bright, the future is White.

Afternoon all, well, a very satisfying weekend on all fronts for me, lovely. Loads of beer and we really now have a team we can be proud of. The biggest thing for me is the boys are playing with a smile. The unity and team spirit is there for all to see and that is key guys an girls, onwards Together. A United club, team and support will be a juggernaut to the prmiership

Its starting to get easier to list wingers we aren't rumoured to be interested in than those we are.

At least its now narrowed down to players already in UK.

Ideal but unlikely outcome - Ajose, Bianchi, Byram (controversial)& Doukara gone.

Buckley (with Sunderland paying part wages) in.

I think we have sufficient cover everywhere else and think those already here need more time. I can see us doing a loan to buy for a seasoned DM later on.

Just my thoughts.

With the de gea transfer saga, manyoo just earned more haters if that's possible. Anyway, who the are they when the Whites go marching on on on.

i don't really hate man utd. Guess being a londoner the local rivalry misses me and now they are leagues apart they don't bother me much. Use to hate them when they were rivals but now they are ok and have to say I feel sorry for them with de gea, something has to be done when players refuse to play, if we did this at work we would not get away with it. I think if any player refuses to play they should be forced to pay the fees to cover the rest of their wages on current contract so if de gea is on 100k a week he would have to pay roughly 5.6 million if my caculations are correct. No player should get away with not playing or training it is not good enough even if they are man utd players

If I'm honest I don't hate them either really.dislike LVG like no other, so I'm happy the way which he is destroying a league winning side. Love or hate ferggie wasn't capable of selling £250m For a worse side than he started with.
And on this point Breda Rogers obviously for his transfer policy from Neil warnock!

I'm with you Berm White but the problem is that any player with a brain cell can play/train but not too the best of their ability, you know yourself once someone wants to leave any job and has another one to go to not many people can put 100% in even if they think they do as it just ain't the same.

In a competitive job (like football) it shows up even more cause most players if they only give, say, 95% then it really shows as a lot of players are fairly close in over all ability and the 5% lacking really hits teams. So you could never enforce that fine approach legally.

Re Man U, yeah I'm not too bothered bout them myself at the moment but know I'm in a minority here. Once in prem it will change a bit but I have always not liked Liverpool for some reason.

I guess you just like who you like and the same for teams you don't, I don't think I hate any team in the championship (not even those Milwall boys), maybe QPR piss me off as they seem to get away with fair play rules, Derby a bit cause we never beat them, until last Sat but don't really hate any team.

Anyway you know what they say about love and hate. it is just a different side of the same coin, so if you hate Man U it is almost love ha ha, or maybe that only applies to our wife's/girlfriends etc and does not apply to footie.

Will we sign anyone else today apart from that Dutch wizard? He looks OK, I like players who come from the Dutch prem, they often do well.

It's their fans I don't care for as opposed to the club itself. However, I really object to Chelsea. No self-respecting Leeds fan is even neutral about that club. I also don't like Spurs or Arsenal. If it's outside Yorkshire it's not worth bothering with.

as always dg you are the voice or reason. I try and be resonaible but hate Arsenal with a passion, they are my true can not stand them team. fans are always sulkers who laugh when win and dish out stick but can't take it when they lose. I honestly would cheer on any team over Arsenal. Not sure why I hate they think it might be my first full season as a fan was when we played them about 100 times in the f.a cup and merson scored the goal that knocked us out with that silly celebration and the hate grew from their. My wife hates wolves and mick mccarthy with a passion and she is not sure why

I've always had a soft spot for Arsenal (sorry BW). I don't know how true this is but read somewhere that the year after Chris and Kev were murdered by those filthy Turks, Arsenal fans wore Leeds shirts when they played in Champions league as a mark of respect.

For me, I can't stand Manyou, Chelsea and any team who hates us. That's about all of them to be fair! I hate Millwall with a passion (sorry again BW) for their fans who wear Turk shirts and get away with it. They should be banned for life and castrated. These people shouldn't be able to breed.

Having said that I do chuckle and sometimes do a little wee every time I hear chants of 'We all hate Leeds scum' on the tv when we're not even playing!

We're not famous anymore. Really?

with you on millwall, all mates and family are millwall and lots of them season ticket holders but they are bad. I am always in a leeds shirt and will get abuse, shouted, started on, spat at at least once a week (normally a saturday as wall fans are in special homes during the week to stop them from getting hurt but some are allowed weekend release). it noramly makes me laugh but sometimes it can get heated. this said it is the few who are bad, most wall fans I know have great sense of humour as you would need to have if you supported millwall. I have soft spot for palace as just found out my dad and family are palace fans. I often go to Leyton orient and work with the club on a play about their players in ww1 so they are my 2nd team who I do have a soft spot for. Also like west ham and saints for youth policy and think they run club properly

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - I don't think the abuse is anything to do with your shirt B!}

01 Sep 2015 21:08:43
never thought of it like that, good point though. I am a bit of an A@@@H@@ if I was a millwall fan i'd yell abuse at me
