on a side note, just what does Ross McCormack have to do to get in the Scotland squad?

Believable6 Unbelievable1

Its a disgrace that he hasn't been called up. Levin must have something against him because I think he adds a lot more to the game than Kenny Miller, plus Naismith's out so they need a winger/striker

Agree1 Disagree1

The thing he needs to do to get in the Scotland squad is stop missing a hat full of chances every game.

Agree3 Disagree3

McCormack has had a run of good games and scored goals before that run and for the past three or four games he has been very ordinary- just like he was when he first came. He has cost us more points overall than either the reserve keeper or O'dea. Hope he gets his form back soon!

Howson should be dropped how many games do we have to suffer his lack of contribution in the most influential position to control games. It speaks volumes of Claytons contribution when he continues to put in MOM performances when his central midfield partner goes missing. I for one hope we secure Clayton's contract soon and let Howson go - his lack of strength, positional awareness, comfort on the ball, defensive pressing etc is that of an average League 1 player with the physical presence of a young 17 year old on debut!

Believable7 Unbelievable4

I agree mate that he should be dropped but I think we should keep him as he is still young and will get better. I don't think he should be captain, he isnt vocal and maybe this is affecting his game. Someone like Clayton or Kisnorbo to be captain. NR

MOT

Agree3 Disagree0

Anyone who thinks Clayton is more qualified to captain Leeds than Howson is deluded.

Agree8 Disagree3

Anyone thinking howson is fit to captain leeds is deluded. He shows no charateristics of a good captain. At the moment i dont believe we have a true captain apart from paddy but hes bot really up to scratch, hes just a good character.

Agree5 Disagree0

Captain is just a title. who better to have it than our longest serving player? as long as the team ethic is there, the captain doesn't matter.

Agree2 Disagree3

The one player who should be captain, is Andy lonergan! We fit, until then give it to someone who deserves to be playing not jus on merit! Like tom lees or snoddy, i fink snodds will buzz off that! Howson is awful this season..

Agree3 Disagree1

It astonishes me that Howson - who's new nickname is 'Pedestrian' - continues to play never mind be captain weeek in week out. He simply isn't up to the task - we must try something different! It's going to cost us - if not already - dearly come the end of the season!

O'Dea out of the tangerines game. Which will please some people. Awful mistake on SSun, but lets not forget that he has done reasonably well recently. Bit nervous if it is Paddy coming into the team. He has looked rash and off the pace ever since the injury. Dont want him hacking down Kevin Phillips!

Believable6 Unbelievable2

Let's also not forget he was pushed on Sunday!!

Agree2 Disagree2

Lets not forget Paddy has been out for a long time. He looked good on Sunday from the KOP, but havn't watched the re-run on telly yet. NR

MOT

Agree2 Disagree2

Kevin Phillips will be perfect for him - lack of pace and past it

Agree0 Disagree1

Would love to see KP in a Leeds shirt!

Hope Becchio gets a start. The front two have done well, but Ross has gone off it a little in the last couple of games, and Keogh, important though he has been, is no goal threat. Maybe Keogh and Becchio up front with Ross in the hole behind. At least that way we have a chance of winning headers if Rachubka insists on pumping the ball upfield long, with every kick, no variation. Might also free up Ross to get on the ball from knock downs and get back in the goals.

Believable2 Unbelievable5

I disagree - When we took Ross off playing Coventry we looked shocking. Becchio and Keogh are to similar. Ross would be my first choice andI'm not bothered who gets the other spot. To be honest Becchio does not look sharp art all. Maybe he needs a good 90 mins.

Agree4 Disagree2

What do you know anyway , are you qualified to comment on tactics , because I am and your talking Jive.

Agree0 Disagree4

Becchio needs minutes on the pitch, and we need to rotate a little.

Agree2 Disagree1

Everyone is entitled to comment on tactics, just coz your "qualified" does give you the sole right to post about tactics and dismiss others

I have got a question for all the Leeds fans on this site.
Who, in your opinion was your favourite (not nec the best) Leeds player in each decade from the 70's up to 2011??
Although i cant remember all the players this is my choice -
70's - Tony Currie - what a goal against southampton '78
80's - Ian Baird - do or die forward
90,s - David Batty (altho had Vinnie stayed longer i would have put him down. Legend!)
2000's -Gary Kelly - loyal as ever!
looking forward to remembering your players! MOT

Believable1 Unbelievable3

My first game was in 81 so my choice would be
80's- John Sheridan one of the best players i've ever seen at Elland Road should never have been allowed to leave
90's- Gary Kelly loyal and a great right back
2000's - Dom Matteo top player

Agree2 Disagree1

Mmm yes, whatever happened to club loyalty. Players of this calibre are a rare breed indeed.

Agree0 Disagree0

70s Bremner
80s Sheridan
90s McAllister
00s Viduka

A better question might be who were the worst or most hated Leeds players in those decades.

Agree3 Disagree0

Batty was carp bremner a dirty little runt but then again it is dirty leeds
