anyone else gonna google new owner when announced to see how rich we are?

deakko7

Believable1 Unbelievable1

I have just heard brilliant news from my ever realiable source my best friends aunties dogs cousin adopted sisters uncles grandads nieces pet budgies mothers brothers nephews fathers great grandmas best friends love child, their always pretty much correct and are in the know, as they know someone that works in subway across from ellend road, can't release and times, dates, names,or what their worth as they would get into huge trouble, I'm only allowed to let you all in on the info when the takeover goes through and announced. Believe me people the truth what is going on, 1 thing I can let you all know is that NW would like to sign another player soon, you heard it hear firstĀ

Agree1 Disagree1

Total waste of time post, you can rest assured the whole media will be telling us how rich/poor they are/aren't, once any takeover or investment takes place (if it does).

Agree1 Disagree0

Bit difficult if its a consortium of unknowns...

Agree0 Disagree0

Yup, ill be straight on that one mate! haha

Im not being funny but it is gonna be one big let down, we have been bought by some chicken farmer with no money, we are Leeds and we gonna have our ups and downs we will never be bought by sheikh Mohammed!!

Believable1 Unbelievable3

Got a gut feeling this season is going to be a complete let down, with all this takeover talk of billionaires and filthy rich and also Warnock buttering up the fans saying he wants to build a whole new squad and get us promoted this season, sound like a huge foot to be shot at to me, I know I sound miserable but it's not guaranteed to happen is it? This is a league full of has beens, hope we get back to the top this season or got a feeling were gonna be another permanent has been club like the rest of them down in this league

Agree0 Disagree1

There you go always the eternal optimist - not!

You don't deserve to be a Leeds supporter - but then again you probably aren't anyway!

Agree0 Disagree1

Stop being pessimistic you waart. You don't know that, and besides Bates wouldnt have sold up to someone who wasn't going to give him a few £Mil for Leeds.

Im not going to say we the richest club in the world, If you think about it though ken bates will want a big price for leeds. Hes redeveloped everything, casinos, hotels and a new west stand for free apperantly! and were in the black(profitable). He sold chelsea who were in debt to someone who could pay debt and give him a big payday, that is what he craves top dollars. My point being its in his best intrest(and kens only intrest ££) to sell to a big hitter. I feel leeds are in for good times with a very wealthy owner backing us. Even though we can only spend 6m and profits in this leauge it will make all the difference for us, That is my opinion anyway guys M.O.T

A deal supposedly done in secret for Peltier and credited interest in Chambers (good player btw) coupled with Leeds' official announcement about takeover talks a week ago plus Warnock's comments in press about wanting as much as the squad together as possible by pre-season training 11 July leads me to following conclusion. There are 2 deals not 1. First deal already done was for investment. That bought them some shares and a seat at the table and helped with the exclusivity period. Deal two is the takeover itself. My guess is you can't have the players overly distracted when pre-season starts on 11 July so I am predicting an a formal announcement by the end of this week. What is very clear to me though is that there are already more coffers in the Leeds' pot because an investment deal has very likely already been sorted out by same outfit hopefully about to take us over. Good times.

Heard Leeds scouts are to be sent out to watch a non league player at the start of the season, only played half the season due to injuries and managed to score 7 goals with some spectacular strikes from CB, my mate who watches the team said the player has 'audacity' in his locker and is a solid performer. tony

Believable1 Unbelievable1

So why not just put a name to this 'mysterious' wonderkid....

.. we have enough wonderkids at TA without dragging all over the country to watch unfit players with no experience?

Agree1 Disagree0

If I start throwing names out other clubs may be come aware - I think your forgetting where the likes of Beckford came from - Who says you need experience to be good. Players have to start somewhere. Tony

Thought I'd shed some light on Aidan white. He doesn't leave until the club release him or he moves elsewhere. At the moment he is still a Leeds player. Keep the faith

Believable1 Unbelievable2

How do you base this opinion? There's no contract anymore. It expired. Leeds don't have his registration anymore.

If the cash comes in what about a cheeky bid for Fabion Delph local lad !!! lets get our heritage back in the fold

Believable0 Unbelievable3

Did you watch Delph back on loan at Leeds, he might be local but think we want better than that, he was good for us in the 2nd division, couldn;t get in the villa side in the premier league..... Dave

Agree2 Disagree1

Good shout but not the same player as we knew him years ago. Wouldn't mind having him back though. If it is a megabucks takeover deal wonder how Bradley and Jonny feel?

Agree1 Disagree1

Don't want him back, are we forgetting he came back on loan and said he hated every bit being back at the club he started with. Just anothe ex player, who thinks he's to good for us. I hope everything comes true next week, then we can stick it too the players who jumped ship.
mot4life

Agree1 Disagree0

He never really wanted to come back on loan he wanted to go on loan in the premier, he couldn't wait to get back to villa, he moaned about everything at Leeds about the way they trained to the way they played, it's gutting because I was happy to see him back but he isn't a Leeds fan like us he is a man united fan sadly

Agree0 Disagree0

Not good enough? How many games did he play? If you can judge a player who's been out with long term injuries after 5 games then you should be getting a job as a top Premier League scout!

Agree0 Disagree0

He spent most of his loan time injured, that's why he hated it.

For the previous poster it's a fair question if they have money why can't they just proceed? Well the FA quote rightly have to ensure that anyone wanting to purchase shares of 30% and above, must meet their fit and proper rule. Otherwise the money could come from anywhere eg drug money could be used to wash through the club, also the background of the person or persons involved are checked, if they are not deemed to be suitable eg criminal or corrupt affiliation then the FA have a right of refusal. It's also standard business practice. Does sound a lot of rot but it is needed mate. Philbramley

If there is an announcement tomorrow, I just hope there is no disappointment if we don't get some mega rich owner as like man city. Sleeping with my fingers crossed tonight.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Ive heard its tuesday around 12

Agree1 Disagree0

I only hope the new owner does justice to the long suffering LEEDS FANS who have put up with third class Football. We can only hope NORMAN did'nt leave a mess to clean up and we get Thorpe Arch and Elland Road back to their rightful owners the LEEDS UNITED FANS and CLUB. Iwould like to think that if the new owners are mega rich present the club to the City of Leeds so we will never lose the club to money men to line their pockets at our expense ever again....at this point I'm starting to shed a tear so I'm off to bed to dream ZZZZZzzzzzz L.O.L

Looks like the new owners didn't want grayson and that this takeover has been in the pipeline for longer than we thought.

Believable4 Unbelievable3

I think Bates got rid of Grayson and there was no thought of a takeover when he got canned. What I will say is it's obvious an investment deal has already been concluded. Let's see if its big mother can be concluded and announced later this week!

I know Ken Bates hasn't given managers money to buy top players but Leeds fans need to give him credit for saving our club. If it wasn't for Bates, there would be no Leeds United.

Believable7 Unbelievable6

Wait for the LUST members to disagree lol they deal in absolutes, if youre not a supporter of LUST youre a bates fan apparently

Agree3 Disagree6

The Leeds Fans and there undying support and willingness to keep poring money in to it no mater what saved this club
If it was not for them and them alone there would be no Leeds United

And for this reason and this reason alone Bates looked to Leeds as a easy cash cow loyal paying fans .
And hes leaving only due to the Fans saying NO MORE you have drown your last million from us stay and your money drys up we will still be here when you are long gone
Tog

Agree1 Disagree1

Bates saved our club. behave get a life.

Agree2 Disagree2

Poster's that are saying long live bates. can you'se really be that dalouded. For 5 years the man didn't want yus the loyal paying fans knowing he owned the club. Tell me this why wouldn't he want to be known as the man who saved lufc. He had no problem telling chelsea fans he owned there club. wake up and smell the coffee, Now theres no assets left, he now carn't wait to sell up. STRANGE!!

Went to the theatre in Leeds last night to see "The Promised Land". Some of you may have seen it. It is about LUFC and Leeds people from the glory days to the decline of the team. It then goes on about the hopes for the future of the team and the city. Note the title "Promised Land" is it about to come? JD

Warnock to get us promoted, then a year to consolidate...He's said this is his last challenge...Will he see out his contract or leave beforehand, and whi do you guys want to see succeed him? A long time off I know, but will we really be a big enough pull to attract someone big by that time?

Jody

Believable2 Unbelievable1

If we have massive money available then I'd go for Redknapp but if not then I wouldn't mind that guy that managed the team (can't remember who) who won the africa cup of nations, he can't be on big bucks surely.

Agree1 Disagree4

Ill settle for harry rednapp or maybe David Moyes in prem league think there quite reliable managers to do well

Agree2 Disagree5

JB

Agree3 Disagree3

Redknapp is an illiterate cockney b*llend. Would rather have O'Leary than him, can't stand Harry.
Bring in Pep Guardiola from Barcelona after he has had his year off. He would be a quality replacement if we want to see youth progress and proper fancy football

Agree3 Disagree1

Rednapp would be no better at this level than NW, and Oniel spits his dummy outto often, Keep the Faith and trust Warnock. DP

Agree2 Disagree0

O'Neil or Strachan

Agree0 Disagree4

Guadiola or Jose. Why bother with Rednapp overated in my opinion. If you have the money you get the best

Agree2 Disagree0

What you got against harry redknapp? He is a quality manager, and had spurs playing the best football in the prem, so stop your utter nonsense. We would be lucky to have him in charge. Vinny.

Agree0 Disagree2

Harry Redknapp is NOT a quality manager!! He played pretty football and won games but what happened at the business end of the season? Harry didn't have the answers to keep Spurs where it mattered!! Jog on Vinny! Paddy MOT

Strachan?? Great player - cr@p manager. No thanks.

Thought I'd post my thoughts regarding the Goalkeeper situation.

I would have preferred to keep Lonergan or even Schmiechel...I would even prefer we have a punt at trying elsewhere, the likes of Craig Gordon, Manuel Almunia, Tomasz Kuszscak (I know, I know), Chris Kirkland and Jussi Jasskelainen (gone to Hammers I know, but still)...They all have relatively more Premier League experience and quality (Kuszscak the exception?). Even a cheeky bid for Paul Robinson? Carlo Cudicini? Alex McCarthy? Thomas Sorenson? Ross Turnbull?

Not that I wouldn't welcome Kenny, he is quality and obviously works well with Warnock, but still feel we could do better...He's said he's building for the future, well Kenny is no spring chicken in fairness!

Jody

Believable3 Unbelievable4

Perhaps, when the premiership finally comes back we can have a better keeper but this is still the championship.

I agree. I hope Lonegran stays, he's a good keeper and will only get better. Kenny is a lot older, it would not be a very good move. But fair dues to Warnock he has been getting rid of our terrible defence. Only Lees worth keeping. Shame about Clayton going, he did well i thought.

Believable2 Unbelievable4

Nah clayton was average in Warnocks system, only shone when Howson was doing the work for him

take over or no take over, whats so special about paddy kenny, 34, 1 season in the pemiership, most of his career at the blunts, for me lonergen did a fine job last season, wasnt his fault we had such a shi*e defence, made some cracking saves at the end of the season, but for him it could have been much worse, f**k paddy kenny who are you!! hx white
*

Believable6 Unbelievable5

NW knows PK better than anybody as a player & a person. He's played at a higher level than AL & as been proven to be more consistant. At 34 he's still very fit & in his prime for a GK. AL is a good shot stopper, although he doesn't have any positional sense, poor kicker, doesn't think quick enough & as poor distribution. NW is starting at the back like all good managers do + its our weakest area!

Agree5 Disagree2

Paddy kenny top keeper , did good last season for qpr, lonergan also top keeper, we need to keep him ,but when kenny arrives we need to support him, he chose us dont forget
