Ed correct me if i'm wrong what's stopping massimo appointing a third party to guide club till three month period is over and then taking reighs again and also sell his major stake for nominal amount until such time as this is resolved?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed003's Note - Nothing as long has he can prove he has no dealings during the period from what I can gather pw.}

What I've never understood so please correct me why isn't their a higher legal regime we can go to for legal litigation against fa are we saying they are it and their not accountable to anyone in the land? Becos this stinks of double standards and arrogance never seen before in law mot

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed003's Note - Because clubs agree to adhere to the rules for membership but I know what you mean pw.}

I speak as someone who's worked at blackpool fc and want everyone to know if karl oyston was trying to sign a player, he and I mean him would push and push the clubs press officer to discredit the club to get them cheaper, so much for mr squeaky clean. Owen oyston still has a say too, a convicted criminal. So much for fit and proper.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed003's Note - Not getting what you mean Phil ? discredit which club ? }

Which ever club the player is at. So for argument say, Blackpool wanted the headbutting diver that is Luke Varney. The Oyston chap would try and discredit Blackburn, in order to get him cheaper.

Although I do think if you offered a Ford Capri, you will get him.

That's what I understand from that Ed

With the new FL nonsense, at least Redders team talks and motivation take care of themselves. Just think about sticking it to the authorities. I expect a similar response to when we were deducted 15 points.

Cunning Stunts by the football League, their timing is perfect! Our next fixture in London is 18th March and therefore no opportunity for the masses to pop along to Gloucester Square and gently knock on the door of the F.L. and ask for rational and informative explanation about this decision.

But there again, if we get either Chetski or Fulham away in the Cup, we can pass by and give the F.L. our kind regards! MOT

Agree0 Disagree0

Phil the White, in principle a good idea, the problem is when we are playing away the home supporters won't have a clue what we are on about, also when playing at elland road, the away supporters won't have a clue what we are on about. Perhaps it maybe a better idea to have a "news letter" printed to give to home/away supporters, (if the police will let you) pointing out how we feel the football leaque have a witch hunt against our club. Quotes etc. could be given, pointers could be made. It is our club at the moment the football leaque have this thing against, but suggest it maybe their club who are next in line.

Right, ere we go again. There is one reason and one reason only the FL have done this, they are scared of a successful Leeds United. Hated David Haigh, but come on son, bring in your evidence against GFH and the incompetent FL. Open the can of worms so the corrupt self effacing Governing Body, my backside, can be held to account. Apply the fit and proper persons test to them and they would fail in an instant. My blood boils, how absolutely dare they. Cellino won his appeal, this ruling is null and void because the successful appeal was judged at that time, nothing has changed. The Italian court verdict was known and appealed. If he was fit and proper then, he is fit and proper now until a final verdict is given. Judges wording, my scabby toe. This is a vain attempt to save face and hopefully that face will be rubbed in the dogs doings. Rant over.

Well said vid!

MOT always, FL does`nt realise what they have done, crossed a line and have only united Leeds fans more than ever with the club.

Agree0 Disagree0

They need to punish him in their eyes, or else he would have "won".

In all honesty, I think he draw out the appeal process as much as he can then he will step down, but only temporarily and maybe have Sellino run the club for a while.

Then in March he will be back. And the FL can go try and find something else to try and stutter the progression of the club.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed003's Note - He has 14 days to appeal and the FL have said an independent body will deal with the appeal within 28 days of his appeal - This is all new to everyone so anything could change I suppose.}

I've had an idea.
MC to sell Cook & Mowatt in January.
Use the money to bribe the FL board to stop them from hassling us.

OK ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! Rant starting

So the FL sees the possible turning of a corner at Elland Road and BANG MC is banned from any involvement with the club for 4 MONTHS and then he is once again a fit and proper person. This is the same body that has people operating in senior positions for the betterment of the game, oh sorry their convictions are "spent". To top it all, it seems the club are going to be sanctioned for none disclosure of the judgement against MC, surely the conviction is against the owner and was a personal tax issue and therefore should have no impact on the club's day to day activity and its response to any request for information should be to say we were not party to the written judgement it was a personal issue for our Owner and President and then pass the ball back for the football league to prove otherwise? also the judgement was common knowledge but the grounds for the decision not so clear and as it is still subject to appeal under Italian Law there is no actual conviction in place. In the true context of BRITISH law this has nothing to do with the club but this is the FOOTBALL LEAGUE we are talking about so what does that mean. a fine no too easy. points deduction been there done that, so what's left oh yes the Rangers solution let's relegate them, can't you just see it coming I fear I can.
Its about time the fans of football and not just Leeds stood up and were counted, petitions aren't pardon the expression worth the paper they are written on, MPs ha don't get me started, boycotts serve no purpose apart from making the club suffer more, an alternative is to find a way to create a global embarrassment for the FL, an event with a world wide audience, a suggestion could be to organise a fuel tax style protest at the League Cup Final. slow moving blockade of the routes leading to Wembley, Large slow moving bodies of fans moving around the tubes and ground, standing in turnstile queues then not moving forward, harsh on the fans of the teams who make it to Wembley but it could work, the additional cost of policing alone would be huge, the publicity painful for them to bear, obviously this would need significant numbers to achieve anything but the alternatives don't really bear thinking about, after all this is our club, our team and we know no one likes us and we don't care but threaten our existence and its time to come out fighting in a different way to the expected I say and this is only a suggestion!!!

Hi ED`s

What do you make of FL action today, I was curious about MC comment about thruth coming out sooner or later about dishonesty of others.?

Is this further attack from the FL likely to hurt us as a club?

Really angry about FL decision today, seems we are being singled out or Massimo is.

GFH ****, Shaun Harvey low life, and Ken Bates should never be allowed near the boardroom of any football club ever again.

{Ed003's Note - Evening Dual I think it's absolutely horrible for the fans mate but it was always coming I felt, then the other case when that happens will bring more uncertainty in the future if that goes against him - I really do feel for your fans.
I've not seen his comments yet sorry.
I know everyone is fuming atm but some posts are having to be heavily edited can we please not post bad language and things that could be libelous - cheers guys.}

The football league once again show their true colours. MC has worked wonders at our club got us out of debt, solving problems which previous owners have left us in. How come they are not chasing the Arabs or is that to political and where was the checks done when they got us. The fl have never liked Leeds this has gone back to the sixties and every opportunity they can get they will have a go at us. But they will never stop us we the supporters of this great club will stick two fingers up at them. MC will have our backing. Remember what happened when they deducted 15 points from us. They have been warned.

Every single Leeds fans needs to boycott Middlesbrough and Blackpool away. Both will be rubbing their hands with glee for a bumper crowd, hit their chairman where it hurts.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I agree. Most of all blackpool, how can oyston vote to bar cellino, when his own fans are asking what's happened to the millions they got from promotion and there parachute payments. He say's it's paid off loans made to the club by his father, yet only 2 years ago he said blackpool had no debts. Is a loan not a debt and if so he's lied. IS THAT NOT DISHONEST

In more positive news, Antenucci's English is vastly improving, heard his interview on LUTV today, another thing, what a nice bloke he is. You can see/hear he is a polite man who is top of the world atm. Unlucky not to have scored a hat trick Saturday.

Cellino interview on SPN, he's not walking away, said he loves us, he will do anything possible to protect the club, says he will attend games as a supporter if the decision is not overturned and will come back stronger, also said the FL should be ashamed of what they are doing to Leeds Utd.

Nice choice of emphasis from mc in a recent tweet.

"Tomorrow I will be back in Leeds and look after the Football League's problems with my lawyers".

suspect he has enough legal cards up the sleeve to humour the fl until march.

I feel he has anticipated this move from Penfold and Dangerbates

Weirdly, . not worried.

Having had a few hours to consider the latest move by the FL against MC/Leeds and why it is hard to see why they would do this apart from the reasons below.

I say this because on March 13 the conviction is spent and MC is bound to appeal which the FL knows, so this process is likely to take a few months not weeks as legal things do.

1) the FL just don't like being proved wrong as it hurts their pride so just doing it out of revenge as they think they are above British law.

2) they really do have an agenda against MC and or Leeds which makes it personal so again treat our club in a different way to others

3) their legal advice is they really can't lose so go get him

4)they are so arrogant that they really believe they are above the law

5) do they really, I mean really believe that by doing this it is in the best interests of the club, which is supposed to be there aim.

With out going legal, from your man in the street point of view what is the point of doing this when on March the 13 MC can own the club again, the legal process from when MC appeals, say 13/12 would (using past experience and allowing for xmas) take at least 6 weeks from then, say end of Jan. Any decision can be appealed then and even if they move quick to hear it, say 2 weeks (quick in legal areas) then it doesn't matter because MC conviction is then spent (i.e within a month of the March 13th date).

So from my man in the street point of view the only reason the FL are doing this is to cause harm, disruption to the club with the aim to destabilise the club as a whole, now why would the FL want to do that?? Perhaps that is the question and if so they are taking a big risk by going down a public legal route which again to me just seems odd.

Anyway I am not angry now about this as it can help make us stronger as a team, i.e. us against the world, will help Redders with team motivation you would think so let's see what happens.

No such thing as bad publicity as we have been all over the national news, thanks for that free marketing FL

Agree0 Disagree0

Great point about us against the world I think that did us a world of good under dennis wise. We look unbeatable for a while and so together and really think that was part of the reason, love to see that happen again would be worth a good few points in the league and maybe cup run

01 Dec 2014 13:44:00
The conviction is spent at the end of March 2015 so MC has to drag out the appeals process to the end of Febuary so that once within 28 days of the conviction spent date it can no longer be enforced. This is just pure madness by the FA and would not be done to any other club. It's high time MC exposed Harvey for what he is. It's time for us Fans to really pull together with MC. This sort of thing can galvanize a team and fans. Let's make it have the opposite effect, backs to the wall come out fighting reaction and drive on for the top six. Mot.

Game ON!

The FL have just shown its hand, we all knew they would, as soon as Leeds start looking good they come in again to try and knock us down, it is a sad day for football as they are so bias against us it hurts.

We will appeal and I do have faith in the British legal system so as long as it is independent then we will have a good chance of beating this but it will go on for ages and once again the FL will achieve their aim of de-stabilising our club again.

I have got to say it pisses me off, the FL are not acting in our best interests, we need to beat them in court again and sue them for damages.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Sorry I do not know too much about this also try to see the fact from the biase poor us they attack us which I think is understandbal that we all feel. You say beat them in court again, have we already beat them in court? I know we beat the yorkshire police but this is a different matter. if we have beat them is this harrssment if so does any one think we should issue the football league with an injunction against them so they can not come with in five miles of us? if so would we have to go back in prem by default? :)

Agree0 Disagree0

Its no wonder the FL hate us, look at their board of directors:
The Football League board (ten members):

1) A former non executive director of Bupa (and lifelong Leicester City fan)
2) A former female professional tennis player (!!)
3) A former vice Chairman of British Waterways (relevant?!?)
4) The current Chief Executive of Millwall FC (arch rivals)
5) The current Chairman of Blackpool FC (who clearly couldn’t organise a piss up in a brewery with the current state of Blackpool!)
6) The current chief executive of Middlesbrough FC
7) The current Notts County Chief Executive
8) An Executive Director currently at Milton Keynes Dons
9) The current Oxford United Chairman
10) … and Shaun Harvey (boo hiss!)

Agree0 Disagree0

Bermondsey

Yes we beat them in court when they tried to ban MC's ownership in March if you recall that.

They have come back on it saying they will ban him from ownership, he has 14 days to appeal.

The case in question (why they want to ban him under fit and proper test) under British law his crime will be spent in March (which means they can't use it to get him) so what is the point, he will appeal, cases take ages etc etc

That is why I feel the FL applying different rules to us than other clubs

Agree0 Disagree0

This sounds like a case of the FL disrupting things for the sake of it, if the conviction is spent in 3 months.

In all honesty I believe they are hell bent on not seeing any success at Leeds Utd.

Another point, if they do manage to pull this off, then surely every other manager who is currently "unfit and not proper" in current times should be asked to resign because as always, with Leeds Utd they are the test club, which should set a precedence going forward.

Agree0 Disagree0

When all the stuff comes out about GHF, David Haigh might have a cell mate in Shaun Harvey (allegedly, and hopefully)

Agree0 Disagree0

I do like a few quotes coming out of the MC camp, how he is going to look into the FL's comments over the last few months and that he has no interest in selling up.

To top it all off, he is claiming the family own the club, in the form of Elenoara Sports, and not himself. I don't quite think the FL has realised they are dealing with quite a clued up and shrewd chap.

Agree0 Disagree0

Tut tut football league I say we sue them for harrsement and get a restraining order against the football league so they can not come within a square mile of us as such we have to go in prem and be lifelong members and football league also have to send us a Moonpig card (not sure if I can say that as advertising if not change it to) out of space pork anmial card to say sorry and they have to wash our kits for a month

In April 2014, the FL's prior decision was successfully appealed by Cellino at a hearing of the Professional Conduct Committee (PCC) chaired by an independent QC (sitting alone).
