one paper says Redfearn applied for Barnsley job during season. If that's true he has conned a lot of fans with his loyal to Leeds speeches

who believes the tabloids? Agendas left right and centre.

I take what the tabloids print with a pinch of salt but sometimes it is true. can't see him doing that when he had chance to coach Leeds but if he did he is as false as the rest.

Funny BIGE how all written abut MC in the papers is true in the eyes of the Redders faithful! But anything about Redders the great they don't believe?? No smoke without fire as they say!

Agree1 Disagree0

20 May 2015 15:58:34
The 'no smoke without fire' attitude sees a lot of innocent people persecuted. I think the reason we're so ready to believe tabloid smear against Cellino is that he has a lot of previous misdemeanours. Not saying Redfearn didn't do anything, tbh can't blame him if he did, just saying a more nuanced approach might be better towards tabloid gossip than 'it's in the papers so it must be true.'

Ross Wallace released by Burnley. Would be a great left sided winger who creates a lot of goals and is a set piece specialist.

Agreed, but will he play for £3.50 a week?

Even the most ardent supporter of Cellino can surely see what a complete mess we are in as a club, we are an absolute PR disaster, we are spending another half a million on a compensation claim for the Stewart contract saga, who was bloody useless when he was here, and every fan knew he would be. How did we again allow this to happen, this is on top of all the other court cases we have been involved in, our lawyers must be the most well off law firm in Yorkshire.

Whatever you think of the job NR has done, the way he is being treated is out of order, if MC has interviewed Rosler and not told NR what his position is then that is not the way that any chairman should act with his employees. I believe a good employer could have worked something out with him, and if not suitable for the managers role then why not put him back in charge of the academy with a little pay rise as a sweetener, he may not have wanted the step back but we have no chance of keeping him now in any role which I think is a real loss to the club.

I find it so frustrating that we are again going for a manager with no proven pedigree, and is part of the reason that a half decent Wigan team got relegated. If we were going to change why not look at Warburton who has proved himself this year by taking Brentford to the play offs, or maybe Poyet who has showed himself to be a decent manager at times through his career.

I will wait and see what happens with new players, but would you want to come to a club with MC in charge, that press conference was an embarrassment to everybody connected to Leeds. I agree with other posters that Adam Pearson is a great move but please MC take a step back, let him be the face of the club and make the big decisions.

The first one of which is to keep the academy, it costs 1.2 million to run per year, that is peanuts compared to the value of our current crop, for example Lewis Cook is worth around 7-10 million pounds so makes it clearly worthwhile. This is one area of the club we should all be proud of but MC wants to close it down.

It has been hard work supporting Leeds over the last few years, but at the moment it is I believe one of the hardest times, and the club is at a crossroads and which way we go could either take us forward quickly or set us back for years to come.

I think if you look at the last three managers we've had, Rosler's cv look much brighter, so no complaints really. He was highly regarded at Brentford and was manager of their promotion winning side for half of the season and only missed out on promotion the season before in the play off final. Yeah, he screwed up at Wigan but we'll forgive him that one.

We could have gone for Gino Ginelli the ice cream salesman from Sardinia knowing Cellino, at least he's someone we've heard of!

19 May 2015 20:07:51
Cellino doesn't want to close the academy. He was complaining about EPPP and questioned why we have to pay £1.2m a year for an academy when other teams can waltz in and poach players for a pittance. Gone are the days of a Woods/Taiwo pay out.

19 May 2015 20:09:15
i can see what you are saying but keep calm, Redders I like but is he good enough? I don't agree with way treated but we don't know what has or has not been said. I also agree maybe better choice of manager (gus poet not one of them though he is bit pony) but we again don't know if rossler will get job and he might be great for leeds, so until pony give him chance. We might be a p.r. disater but we have been that since 60's we have never got good press. Stewart thing not mc fault that happened before he got here. where are the people posting where leeds would be without M.C in a local park playing sunday league football in front of four old men and a whippet. He has saved club give him credit

Neil Redfern WILL have been told that his contract is not going to be extended! Like Steve Thompson, Redders is staying silent for one reason only Financial! When Darko was head coach, Redfern would have been approached, interviewed what ever you want to call it? About taking over! Its what goes on in football now and always has! Tapping up, poaching, players and managers! MC has put a lot of money into the club, without which the club would be in a far worse position than we are now!

19 May 2015 16:35:06
So we were going to pay Stewart 250 grand a year more than he gets at Ipswich. Who on earth handled our contracts before Cellino came. No wonder he cancelled it. Shows you what a shambles we were.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

19 May 2015 17:27:38
Bige, were?

We have found brand new ways to be shambolic.

This story brings back memories of a chairman fond for publicity and an average balding midfielder who was forced to receive 37 grand a week.

19 May 2015 18:16:29
He may talk rubbish and buy some carp players but at least we are financially sound. No wonder we were losing money, all going on wages when rest of championship were paying half of what we were, and they were all rubbish.

Rosler in the frame now, did well with what he had at wigan first season and did a lot of good work ay Brentford. We need someone quick

Believable3 Unbelievable1

19 May 2015 17:36:48
Can't say I agree with that BIGE, Wigan had some good players but didn't play as a team and I think he was sacked when they were in bottom 3 so for me that is not success in any shape or form.

Brentford record was good but never quite got them up yes they were well placed when he left but for me better people out there.

So overall not much better than what we have now, would last 3-4 months if that under mad boy MC

Agree0 Disagree0

19 May 2015 18:24:17
DG in first season he took them to play offs and semi final of fa cup, was given till december, folowing season then fired. that's the problem with this league too quick to fire, wigan went down anyway so maybe it was the team that was no good, if he had stayed maybe still in championship, all ifs and buts.

19 May 2015 18:40:35
Didn't uwe get Wigan into playoffs? And Brentford owner said if was him who turned there club around

Apparently Steve Thompson is pretty ANGRY over the way he has been treated at Leeds - what if he were to rock up as coach - thoughts?

19 May 2015 14:02:13
I stubbed my toe this morning when I got out of bed. This made me angry, and my mood hasn't improved since.
I often help (coach) my kids with the primary school Maths homework.

With this in mind, the new head coach must be me!

If you add into the mix that I DON'T have my coaching badges, this would make me tactically inept at the job.
It would also give the FL something else to suspend Cellino for, and also fine the club loads of cash!

I'm seeing a trend forming here, Hock, Redders, Me, all tactically p*ss poor! Coincidence? I think NOT!

Hooray for me! I'm normally a likeable bloke, so that's all the fans behind me. If by chance I manage to fluke more than 2 wins in a row, I'll declare it a master-class of management, sorry, I meant Head Coaching.

Now then, Day 1 in the job, be cr*p.
Day 2. Oh, there won't be one.
Day 3. Pay Off :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

19 May 2015 11:29:45
All the speculation about Redders being sacked. Crazy, it simply won't happen. His contract is up on June 30th, I guarantee Cellino will let it run down or abuse Redders so much he quits, he ain't about to spend time and money on something that will end soon anyway. The worrying thing about that is it leaves the new angry coach little time to prepare for the season. Until then all we are going to get is balderdash bluster and bunkum, the mud slinging may reach new heights. Where oh where is Muttley when you need him.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

19 May 2015 12:48:52
Nonsense. Celine Dion will pay up remaining 6 weeks of the poor tactician's contract.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 May 2015 13:04:47
Lol, nice one George, but just cast your mind back a year. This is identical to the treatment of BMD. Celine Capone is never in a hurry when it suits. Darko still has 12 months on his contract, plus the king corny one still believes Wackaday to have been the right choice and a good coach, he needs a good talking to from Timmy Mallet if he is considering this option. Don't forget he hired fired and rehired many times at Cagliari

Idea for new movie. The madness of Massimo.

He is like a cross between Reggie Perrin and Mussolini.

Maybe his final downfall in my film all rights reserved is to be found hanging by a lamppost upside down naked with his clothes lying on a nearby beach having fired his 17th Leeds coach with the artist formerly known as Prince singing in the background a rendition of Purple Rain.

19 May 2015 20:14:26
Vid, 2 points. 1. He has Pearson advising him now. Should mean Redders gets paid out the 6 weeks. 2. Cast your mind back to this morning when it was announced we owe money on Stewart's contract. I think Celine has learned his lesson for this particular case.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 May 2015 11:41:06
Fair points George, so, given he has his own opinion, how long do you give Pearson lol, will he last til Christmas, probably longer than Uwe. the list of replacements is already in Cellinos back pocket

19 May 2015 10:28:44
Lots of you have short memories. Remember papa smurf selling every decent player we had and gfh not paying any bills or wages, do you not remember cellino paying the players wages before he even owned the club, because gfh wouldn't. Without massimo we wouldn't have had a club now

But isn't being a prat the one thing that makes him "Fit & Proper"? Look at the FL, they're all prats.

Papa Smurf, Prat.
Oyston, Prat.

And the list goes on.
If it weren't for rich prats, all we'd be left with is the game of football. wait

God I hope you're wrong Ausman, although you could be right. He's still being paid by the club. I couldn't imagine a more uninspiring appointment. I doubt we'll get anyone decent, Cellino likes a 'Yes Man' who he can bully.

The best scenario for me would be the FL to ban him again and this would leave Pearson to run the club.
