No league is won in one game and I don't want to add pressure onto the lads but the sheff weds game is a must win in my opinion.

Massive game we can not afford to lose

Get real guys there's 30/40 points to be played for yet so as much as it's what they call a 6 points game it's not a case of season over if we lose. Try not to be so dramatic we will lose a few games before season ends but so will Wednesday and everyone else

Wex is right. Right now we have a 7 point cushion so the odd loss is OK. That being said beating the other teams in the mix is worth a lot. Have no fear we will win. Leeds haven't lost a game I've been at for 7 years and I'll be there on Saturday so it's 3 points in the bag!

agree this is right to an extent but dramatic to another, auto looks out and playoffs look likely even if we lose. Good for moral to win and of course points wise but if we lose i don't think we will fall out of play offs, sadly i think we will be in the lottery of the playoffs don't think my heart can take it

Really? We lose this wknd and season over/must win game etc. which school did you lot go to? Until its mathematically impossible nothing is over and nothing is a must win! Do you work for a newspaper?

Time will tell fellows our form isn't good and local derbies have not been too good lately but I'm hoping we can stay in the play offs a month ago I thought we were going to win the league just like Jimmy greaves used to say its a fanny ol game at least you guys have given me a bit of posistivity

A few games ago I predicted we'll need 25 points from 15 games. With Norwich losing yesterday it's now about 20 from 13 to finish in the play offs. Just hope defence start behave themselves and don't pick up any yellows in the next 5 games. Also, we'll playing a bit better before the season is out so peaking at just the right time. See you all at Wembley brothers.

Not to sure Lucas. Think a minimum of 25 is still needed. Although your right about Norwich, Fulham now have 2 games extra to play which could put them back into the picture above Norwich.

The average points tally to finish sixth over the last ten seasons is 73. If get 25 more points we would end up with 83. I may be wrong but we shouldn't need anywhere near that. In fact since the second tier went to 46 games (1998/99) , the highest sixth place total was 78.

I like the other teams piling up games to play, glad the dogbotherers got a draw yesterday, another game extra for them. Myself, I'm happy if we carry on winning at home and (at least) drawing away. It'll be nice to see my team play on my first visit to the "new" Wembley

Green Ayling Bartley Jansson Berardi Bridcutt Phillips Roofe Hernandez Doukara Wood. My team for Saturday, bring on Taylor on about 70 mins to give him minutes.

Phillips is poor. He looked out of his depth against sutton, as did most of our bench players.

So were Dallas and Doukara, yet they keep getting games.

So because 2 players were playing bad and still getting games that makes it ok to play a 3rd? The only 2 players who have been consistent performers for me this season when they have played, and have maintained form, are wood and ayling. Jansson, Bartley, Hernandez, have all been class for us, but not throughout the season, which isn't a problem, because you can't expect it, but it offers opportunity to other players.

We have 5/6 players who can play on the wings, and 3/4 who can play central midfield, I don't think either doukara or Phillips will get a sniff of starting 11. He brought in 2 wingers with purpose and intent, I think Saturday is when we'll start to see them shine. Green, ayling, Barts, Jansson, Berardi, Bridcutt, Vieira, Roofe, Hernandez, Pedraza, Wood.

I hope Charlie returns very soon, as I believe the atracking threat, chances created has suffered significantly in his absence. Also this added width to the team which in turn provided more space for Hernandez to create. Beradi is a good steady championship defender, but Charlie (I believe) could play for England one day. Ayling seemed more prone to replicate Charlie's attacking runs too. So in short this will be a big plus for our run in 👍

really not a beradi fan, feel sorry for him and he is decent but not good enough for playoff level. so right footed that it is a weakness on the left, also makes a few mistake. Think we have really missed taylor the best left back in the league

Well I'm a great Berardi fan. Yes I agree we have missed the attacking part of Charlie Taylors game, but I don't think Berardi is a weakness defensively. Think he is a really good full back. Yes, obviously, preferably on the right

Love Beradi. He's the type of player that would run through a brick wall for you. He's a nutter! 😊

Positives, No yellows yesterday. 7 point cushion. There will be few easy games left . This applies to others as well as us. We have the points the others still have to get. We should make play offs, then it's who's on song at the time. Home on Sat. Tough, but we can do the double. Wed can't.

Everybody saying we're on a bad run, that ended 2 games ago, we've had 4 points from our last 2 games, and we're about to make it 7 next weekend. If you ask me that's good form for play off contention? Anybody slightly worried about how well Cardiff are playing?

Still so many teams that could be in the top 6, everybody has 40 points left to get, the whole table could change yet, I love it! Let's show our character and why we deserve to be where we are. Good to see Dallas getting another goal. 2 in his last 3, can't say we don't have goal scoring midfielders? But we only have one striker 😂 MOT

Hope Dallas gets many more. He is a good player no doubt but seems more subdued when playing for us than when playing for his country. Think if he got in box more he could make a difference.

Some fans just get too carried away Samo. We win a couple we're going up, we don't win a game we've got no chance of the playoffs. Still well in our own hands. Wendies, Reading, Hudds will all have sticky patches too.

If we fail to reach the playoffs, which I think we will, will monk stay? not convinced he will.

Keep the faith Cura. We will be in play offs. If any team drops out will be Reading swapping places with Norwich. Wether Monk stays or goes think will be down to AR and what he's vision is.

Curahee. I think part of the 'problem' and our disappointment, is that Monky has been preparing to get into the playoffs NEXT year. I think his decision to stay or not is more likely to be based on how well he is backed in the transfer window. But I still think we can get into playoffs - most likely scraping into 6th. But I'll happily take that.

We've been on a bad run and yet still 7 points above Norwich. Norwich have been good followed by dreadful all season, I can't see them making up the points deficit. Especially as we will return to form at some stage.

19 Feb 2017 11:49:09
Top 6 is still very much in our own hands, games against a lot of the other hopefuls to come starting with the wendies, hopefully 8 more wins from the remaining games and we'll be there :)

Let's face it. We Never for one minute did we think we would finish in top 6 this season. If we do as it's looking increasingly hard. We need to realise monkey has done extremely well with his resources and choice off players. Top 6 is a massive achievement this year . so to be involved at this time of year is so exciting. Let's just stop criticising and support our beautiful club. Thanks from a new poster. ⚽👍😃

Dont think anyones being critical and sure we all know what a great job Monk has done to get us to where we are. I believe we will be in play offs. We need to be prepared for it and sure Monk has a plan for it and Alf and Barrow may play a big part. But the fact is we have not done too well against the top six playing the formation we do, think we will need to spring a few surprises to get to wembley. I will be happier if we stuff the Wendies and go on another run. We all support LUFC. Onwards and upwards.
