Although my treble went down, I wasn't too fussed as I followed your advice Wex but instead of backing both teams to score went for 2-1. First time I've ever correctly predicted the score and earned myself £200! Happy days.

Tell you what though, despite us being decidedly average for large chunks of the season, we could've easily been in the play offs if we'd won the games we should've.

I know any team can say that but this just underlines how mediocre the Championship has been this season and if Cellino is determined to push next season (and the season ticket offer would suggest so) , we could easily be contenders. It might just help us keep the likes of Cook, Taylor etc.

That was the best Leeds have played all season at home.

Wood was full of confidence, sure he missed chances again but got into space/ created them, Murphy played well and Cook for me had his best game and made a lot of things happen for the team.

Both full backs got forward really well and apart from the first 15 mins we dominated, should have been 4-1.

I think the season ticket plan is a great idea and credit were it is due, even if you want MC out you have to admit no other club has ever offered anything like this at this level and the logic behind the thinking is that investment in the team will happen in summer or MC wiljust be throwing his money away which really would be a sign of a mad man!

Great game tonight.

Great post dog and love the analysis of game helps get an idea for those of us not there. One thing you have all missed mc has made the seasons tickets for next year three times dearer.

I was quite taken aback by the positive performance, but don't worry, .

no dave it was a joke in that he will give half back but charge three times more to get it. I am mc fan in general and think this is great thing and no other club is doing this because mc is passionate and will put money where mouth is.

All along I have been ambivalent towards Evans but over these last few weeks I am beginning to admire the man. In the face of provocation he has been a diplomat whilst declaring his wish to stay at Elland Road. Of course he has backed this up with results. One more on Sat will go a long way, in my eyes, to cementing one more year. Better the devil you know.

Shame we couldn't have put together these results 4 or 5 weeks ago. We were missing our most expensive player though. For the Massimo out crowd you lot can crawl back under your rock now. We are improving maybe not as fast as we'd like but we are better than we were last year and hopefully we can push on again next season maybe Evans is the one who knows.

get a grip man. Because we have beat wolves, suddenly Cellino is fit and proper to move our club forward. Listen to yourself the man is a lunatic. But unfortunately we are stuck with him. Until he sells to the right person we are going nowhere.

U must be a bitter MC out man then Slough!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed003's Note - Why is anyone bitter if they want a lunatic out of their club ? no more personal attacks at other posters that make no sense please.}

19 Apr 2016 22:58:42
one thing to note slough with your post, it states until he sells to the RIOGHT man, nothing saying if mc leaves the next buyer will be better, he could seel to somone like bates or gfh or worse to bates or gfh. I think under current form both mc and evans have brought themsleves some time, and this pledge must saying something positive.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Apr 2016 12:17:47
Slough facts are facts chances are we will finish higher than we did last season and just because cellino is not liked by some he has improved Leeds as a team and as a club we are heading towards financial stability so what if nobody likes his ways or what he says he has improved our club on the other hand bring back ridsdale everyone loved him.

Calling someone bitter is no comparison to calling a pearson a lunatic!

{Ed003's Note - i base my opinion on the fact he is.}

20 Apr 2016 18:44:59
matter of opinion ed, for a lunactic he is a very rich and successful man who has run a number (male and female) successful football clubs, he brought a sinking ship which he has steady and looks like he might even turn round.

well I hated the line up tonight, coyle and erwin both played out of psotition and this poxy formation which is too negitive and don't get no goals. glad to be proven wrong I am leaning towards the fat man going, however he is proving his worth and learning and getting better results, he might have to make me change my mind which don't happen often.

I Have mentioned Nahki Wells while he was at Bradford City. We need Goals and he is a goal machine! look at his record at Bradford City. I look at a players development over a period and he has always improved. PS: won't take him long to move houses from Hudders to Leeds. MOT.

19 Apr 2016 21:31:24
He won't get slaughtered, we can't get relegated or reach the playoffs so nothing to lose all round.

This is the time he has to look at other options.

There's going to be a mass season ticket partial refund in May 2017 guys. Get yours now while you can. Lol. This circus won't leave town.

19 Apr 2016 15:08:34
Wow, couldn't believe it when I read it George. If we reach 15,000 in season ticket sales and don't reach the play offs, he's going to refund 50% of net cost! That's either sheer desperation fuelled by paranoia of fans turning against him or mega confidence. Either way, I like it!

Must say though george, interesting move and this would cost lufc dear in the event of failiure to succeed. ( play-offs or top 2)
Maybe MC will go for it and surprise us all, much to the annoyance of the time to go lot.

19 Apr 2016 16:34:21
Guys you have got to say credit were it is due!

I have never heard at a club at this level doing something like this so no matter what you feel about MC credit must go to the club and him for funding this move.

You would think (unless MC just likes giving money away) that this will lead to interesting investment in the team in the summer, otherwise what is the point as current team can't do any better than 10th at best, may also mean SE will keep his job, especially if he wins 3 out of last 4 which would mean top 10 finish.

Anyways I am just so pleased for the club to get some positive publicity for once and hopefully feelgood factor will be there tonight so I going for a 2-1 win.

I must admit that I have only missed 1 home game this season, take my young son to about half of those games so I don't have a season ticket for us but I will now, so if it works on me sure it will on other as well, brilliant commercial/ media relationship move by club -------NICE.

I would like to know when the partial refund would become payable and due and how this would affect possible contravention of ffp rules in event of a failed attempt.

Notwithstanding, this move does please me in all seriousness. Also vindicates my stance in all this and my debate with Bermondsey. We are entitled to an annual attempt at the PL. We are Leeds and we're big enough. MOT.

good old george to come in with wanting to know the details of the refund and when the money comes back into the account.

also don't think this vidicates anything other than mc is a decent guy and willing to make bold statements.

I hope that those who are optimistic about this news are correct. However, in business, offers such as this, are generally a bad sign and indicate a cash flow problem. let's get cash now when we need it and hope to be in a position to deal with the consequences in 12 months times. NOT an MC or SE basher by the way.

george please,

mc your clubs chairman has done a very bold uniquie and positive thing. every leeds fan is over the moon with this as it shows a commitment to the club and aspiration to succeed or give back to the leeds fan.

literally only you can find a negitive in this. has MC run over your dog or something? this bias is almost bording on obession.

let him sell the players, let's us not get top six and let him not give money back then we will all moan with you, in fact he would be linched.

innocent until guilty at the moment he has done a wonderful thing until he fails in that it has to been seen as such, you should know this coming from a law background, I only studied it and knew this much.

Hi,
for my university dissertation, I am looking at audiences using football as a case study. would you please ever so kindly complete my questionnaire. It’s anonymous and is only ten questions, it will take no longer than 60 seconds.

Thank you in advance I really do appreciate your help.
