Looks like Byram is off to hammers, but, rumours a few weeks back saying they offered us two players as well, anyone know if that was still the offer?

{Ed003's Note - just straight cash apparently.}

Now this one is especially for what you score when you throw but land just outside the bullseye.

What do you get when you cross a crazy wacked out President and a young promising future England international right wing back determined to leave his present club for new pastures?

Right George. Here's a free of charge joke you can tell your friend (s) . They will be well impressed you actually know a funny one:

A friend of mine went to the zoo the other day, but it wasn't very good. In fact they only had one animal - a dog. It was a shitzu!

Does the fact we seem to be desperately trying to sign lafferty signal to anyone else that we really aren't looking seriously to get promotion out of the league.
He's the best we can get? Really?
Might prove me wrong but proven quality is what we need. Not someone to take a chance on.
It'll cost more but there's a reason quality costs!

Anyone else think it's odd Sam training with us today? I get the feeling he's going to say no to Everton and go somewhere else.

I have read we are prepared to pay 20k per week for Laffertey, if we are going to pay such a high wage we should have:

1/ given Byram a improved contract, say!5k per week

2/ we should be looking at young hungry players that are playing in the premiership, like of Bamford come to mind, instead of players who are only looking for one last big pay day. At least getting the likes of Bamford we will know he will be going back to his club at the end of the loan period.

Lafferty with either be great or pants. I'm thinking we are looking a bit desperate pursuing him still. Mind you, perhaps we should have pursued Forrestieri a bit more, and been desperate.

Should have said Byram. Not sure who Bream is!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

18 Jan 2016 17:47:37
Bream is out of contract hence why we only got 3.75 million for him. If he ran his contract down we probably would only get 1.5 for him. Naismith is not out of contract hence the higher figure Everton got for him. Good luck to Norwich he is not that good and not worth nearly 9 million. We are now being linked with Dant Graham on loan. Sign a decent proven goal scorer or we are going nowhere fast.

Lot of us writing this season off. I know last couple of results disappointing but plenty of matches left let's see what happens in window hang on to our talent shift some dead wood bring in another couple of decent players and who knows 5 or 6 good results and we'll be back in the mix. So chin's up lads keep the faith it's not over till Steve Evans sings mot.

I'm sure the big guy will do his best, so never say never.

If Naismith is worth 8.5 m then why did Everton only value Sam at 3.75 m? Double standards me thinks!?

Believable0 Unbelievable2

18 Jan 2016 17:16:49
If Naismith worth that then Everton could of stumped up more for Byram?

evertonian posting in peace what can you tell us about how good sam byram is, hope to see you back in prem soon not the same without your great club in it.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

18 Jan 2016 15:53:28
Think he will fit in nicely with you guys. Attitude was top notch even with all the prem teams showing interest. Give him a few months and Coleman will really have to work for his place. Treat him well because we love him and miss him. Ps. If you beat the red manc gits to 4th spot you'll have a lotta friends here. Good luck for the rest of the season 'tonian.

cheers whiteblood nothing more than I would want is to beat the two red gits to 4th, but us blues just want a cup right now, looks like we have blown are chance in league with careless defending thanks for input if he is what you say he is we will take him to are hearts like you did, gud luck to the white rose of Yorkshire for rest of your season to hurry up and get back into prem your club and fans are sorely mist.

Disagree he won't be challenging Coleman yet if he couldn't get in before wooton n also only played decent for he's transfer.

18 Jan 2016 21:05:38
If you read right I said Coleman will have to work for his place. Sam's not been bought as a first choice for Everton.

Best we can do this season is to finish in the top half the table preferably in the top ten. Get some stability and show that we are a responsible club who are going forward both in terms of our league position but also within the football community. Very few good quality are available during the January window for championship clubs but if any were to come along on loan with a definite option to buy that would a bonus. If all that were to happen, and Cellino was genuine in his claim to want to bring in quality, then Summer might be a much better period for us than it has for many years. Lumbering us with mediocre players now, eg Strikers who can't score and midfielders who can't tackle, pass or be creative would just perpetuate the annual poor cycle.

Well I for one am glad the Byram situation is over, an average player in a poor squad . Yes he had handful of good games but if your not with us, your against us, and he didn't want to be with us . He won't get a game once Seamus Coleman is fit again, I wish him well but onwards and upwards eh, MOT!

Believable1 Unbelievable1

18 jan 2016 09:51:32
yes bye sam but does make you wonder if one yr to run and players not signing prehaps should be sold sooner july talking 8m jan 4m . so we need to get the other lads signed up and mc no crap offers or they will go.

The goal should have stood never mind what the rule book says, Leeds United got punished for the referees mistake he lost his bottle and didn't have the courage or decency to say my mistake the goal stands. They were rocking at that moment and I believe we would have gone on to equalise, poor decision, and another example of the FL s bias towards our great club, onwards and upwards people mot 😎.

Believable5 Unbelievable0

18 Jan 2016 16:46:22
Exactly it's not about technicalities here the ref made the mistake he blew to continue play and blew for the goal so the goal should stand.
