The censorship on this site is worst than the Communist press. A few responses to the 'glorious revolution' NOT, including supporting someone who's opinion has been disparaged, and they don't get on this 'banter' site. Shame on you 'Editor' whoever you are...... {Ed013's Note - There are many editors on this site, they will not post abuse, swearing and insulting posts. Some slip through the net, some get missed by the amount of posts. If it was a valid post try again}

It felt good for a change to travel home from Elland Road, Ok Donny hit the woodwork twice scored 2 and Lonergan pulled off a good save, At 2-0 down a Rally of bates out started,then Townsend scored it lifted the fans we started to get behind the team, Clayton equalised and suddenly there's some belief in the team and fans alike,Myself I thought we'd get the winner and deservedly so Becchio got it..Warnocks interview on Y.R. was good he sounded very excited about being our new manager, actually he talked like a manager should,good views on what some players should be doing, hopefully he'll get the best out of this squad for the remainder of the season..

Somehow we got three points today, maybe our luck has started to change. Warnock I hope will be able to sort out some of the underachievers into playing to their potential and moving us up the table. Playoffs hope back on

18 Feb 2012 21:21:51
why larry wouldnt play snodgrass in a free 'hole' role i'll never know - warnocks interview comments on Snoddy are spot n
startling obvious other than to the last coaching staff !?
He will set this team out right and bring in a leader quickly on loan - Id have any of that QPR midfield especially our ex lad

Believable7 Unbelievable1

I can see him using Michael Brown more. he was a big favourite at Sheff Utd for Warnock.

Agree6 Disagree2

I have been saying he should play in that role for years. I think he is a lot better in that position as he can just pop up in holes, take men on and cross or pass the ball e.g for clayton's goal and mccormack's one on one. Don't think he quite has the pace as an out and out winger especially when the full back and winger double on him which doesn't happen when he's in the free role.

Agree5 Disagree0

18 Feb 2012 21:11:24
Warnock will allow most of defence to leave on loan, as he need outs to free up space on wage bill, then he can bring in defenders who can actually defend

Believable4 Unbelievable2

No one will have em mate ! nah O.B will stay on and do well and Lees .... and Bromby

Did anyone listen to the Rangers press conference yesterday particularly the expert comment afterwards. This financial expert warned that 50% and more clubs in England are trading at a loss and are in with a strong chance of going under. I am not a big Bates fan but if he has stabilised the club and is progressively moving forward then great. Don't forget he has revamped the academy to bring through more young talent. And hate 'em or hate 'em Man. U. at one stage built success on the back of their youth team.

Believable10 Unbelievable3

True but most of our academy leave as soon as a bigger club comes in, maybe because of the lack of ambition shown by bated, players like; delph, Milner, howson

Agree4 Disagree1

It means if only we can secure promotion this season or next we have a real chance of benefiting from other clubs' bad financial position by scooping up their good players as was once done to us. Warnock's appointment is the correct move. I only see better times ahead now.

Agree2 Disagree6

Just listened to it on YouTube and am beginning to warm to him. He's already talking about 'us' and seems genuinely excited. Realistic about our chances this season, which was sensible, and seemed to have a pretty clear idea about where the problems are.

Looking forward to next season when he's had chance to make some meaningful changes.

yet another 90+ min goal from Becchio. nobody can honestly doubt his value to the team right now. {Ed013's Note - In my opinion he was man of the match today}

Believable10 Unbelievable0

Wrong Ed. Clayton was MOM. He played for 99 minutes and got the crowd going. Becchio had a great second half but might as well not have been on the pitch for the first 45. And Clayton's goal was a MUCH better goal - his technique is way better than anyone other than McCormack's. {Ed013's Note - Clayton had a good game in a awful team performance but for me Becchio kept the team going, he ran more than he usually does, held up the ball well, won headers and scored the winner. Each to their own}

18 Feb 2012 20:19:23
As soon as we go behind the chants of Bates out start ringing from the Kop. Even louder at two nil. But as soon as we pulled it back to 2 - 1 the kop got behind the team and they pulled it off. Does anyone spot a coincidence there?

Believable4 Unbelievable2

I never head no chants {Ed013's Note - There was definitely chants of Bates out when we were losing. I have said many times that this does not help the team}

Agree8 Disagree1

Have you maybe contemplated the outrageous idea that the chants could have galvanised the lazy feckers?

Agree2 Disagree6

You're living on another planet if you think negative chanting boosts the players' performance.

Agree4 Disagree2

There was a chant of "we're Leeds, and we've had enough" and that seemed to get the players going at the same time as "Bates Out" - maybe it did motivate (either that or Warnock was on the phone saying to that he'll kick their heads in if we don't get 3 points, lol)

After the game in the tunnel apparently Diouf spat in Mc'Cormack's face and Macca headbutted him! YES MC'CORMACK!:D {Ed013's Note - Diouf is a disgrace to football, but I must admit that it was hilarious when the fans were singing to Bruce to knock him out and they would pay the fine!}

Believable8 Unbelievable0

It's about time that something was done about Diouf,he should have banned from playing years ago. I can't see the powers that be, having the ball's, to ever deal with this scum.

Agree4 Disagree0

If Warnock was in the tunnel he'd probably nutted him too! he's not a fan of Diouf either

Agree6 Disagree0

I loved singing that :) and good on McCormack (hope it was Rab C Nesbitt style)

Why is it every game our midfield are always second best clayton needs a keep up the arse cant wait for warnock to take charge he will soon sort him out along with quite a few other players

Believable5 Unbelievable1

What did you words taste like?

Agree4 Disagree4

Probably an armchair supporter. Clayton was immaculate throughout. Fought for everything, passed well, scored a cracking goal, encouraged the crowd to get behind the team. For the first 45 he and Ross Mac were the only players worthy of the shirt. Either you weren't at the game, in which case keep your opinions to yourself, or you were at the game and know nothing about football, in which case keep your opinions to yourself.

Neil Warnock as manager great decision to get a man who has repeatedly publicly slagged of our club at any opportunity.

To the fans who think it's a great decision because he's allegedly great at getting promotion, take a look at his football league career history spanning over 20 years.

* 6 promotions - 4 through the play offs and 2 automatic

* 1 from the 4th tier

* 2 from the 3rd tier

* 3 from the 2nd tier

Looks like a good record on paper except when you look closely at it.

Promoted with Q.P.R with billions behind him not too difficult then sacked when in premiership because as usual he would have relegated them.

Promoted with Sheff U after 7 years and immediately relegated.

Promoted with Plymouth, following season finished 19th 5 points above relegation.

Promoted with Huddersfield, quit immediately and Huddersfield came 8th the following season.

Promoted with Notts county in the consecutive seasons and once again after reaching premiership immediately relegated again.

Record also includes 3 seasons fighting relegation with Crystal Palace after the previous season Crystal Palace were in the play offs, relegated with Bury and finished 3 points above relegation with Oldham.

Overall not very good now in fairness is it and on top of it all he's probably in the top 10 most hated men in all of football.

To everyone who says stop criticizing and get behind the team as always I will support Leeds to the last no matter what but am fully entitled to my opinion and I still fully believe we will reach the playoffs but only if our defence is sorted out.

Believable1 Unbelievable11

I seriously think that if we had given Jose mourino , Harry rednap or bought don revie back from the grave there would still be moaners like you - given his experience ther is NO better manager we could have realistically hope for - get a grip and put aside your petty feelings against Warmock

Agree10 Disagree2

Odd isn't it how many times your post included the word PROMOTED

Agree6 Disagree1

Why are there always people like you willing to try & put a dampener on things, let's all just get behind the new manager & support the team like Leeds fans do, with passion & heart, MOT.

Agree8 Disagree0

This is one of the most depressing posts I've ever seen on this site... MOT

Agree4 Disagree1

I'm the original poster and surprise surprise dopes commenting thinking that just because they never say a bad word about anyone it makes them such great supporters. It's people like you who make us Lees fans look stupid because we accept everything that happens and get on with it. For once just tell the truth we have been a joke of a club over the last few years that said it will never dampen my love for the club but I believe in telling the truth if we play well credit deserved and that works both ways if we play bad so please stop all the rubbish "die-hard" fans that everyone is great just be honest.

The word promotion used probably one less than RELEGATION MAYBE??

Oh yeah and to the poster who used Warnock in the same sentence as Mourinho and Revie, that seriously must be one of the worst statements I've ever seen.

Agree2 Disagree5

To original poster ...you sad sad sad sad person - go away we dont need misery guts like you around ER psychic vampires - all pessimists get yer coats and do one

Agree5 Disagree1

I have seen some truly ridiculous posts on here but the original poster has taken things to a new level {Ed013's Note - I think most fans are on side with the Warnock signing, lets stop the negatives and get behind him and the team. His interview after the game was very refreshing}

Agree3 Disagree1

Check his record mate, i think you will find he has got 8 team promoted - FACT.

Also i am BATES biggest critic - but he has now delivered what most of us fans wanted an experience manager at this level. So time to stop the negativeness and back the whole club, and that includes Bates.

Lets all MOT once more.

Agree3 Disagree0

Get a life

Agree1 Disagree0

I agree with, and respect the opinions of, the original poster. Warnock has success at lower league level, but it's hit and miss. Bury no, in-bred Sheffielders yes. Don't get carried away during the honeymoon period - if he was the man to do what we all crave, why has Papa Smurf only given him an 18 month contract? Doesn't sound like a resounding endorsement to me. And to all those naysayers to the original poster, respect other peoples opinions. What'll you all be saying when Warnock thinks it's a good idea to give the quiet guy at the back a chance, Paynter I think I heard his name was......

Agree0 Disagree2

Warnock s 18 month contract makes a lot of sense financially. Both sides can renew or re negotiate if things go well or if they go badly we won t end up paying out stupid money in compo, like most clubs do.
On the promotion issue from the original poster, please can you look up and find how many other available managers have experienced 1promotion, never mind several. To my knowledge there aren t that many out there... Remember, at this level, winning promotion is the equivalent of winning silverware. So we ve just hired someone who s guided 8 teams to success.
Sh$t, we re lucky Real Madrid didn t get in first... An astute bit of business Captain Birdseye..... The lifetime supply of your fishy fingers must have been a deal clincher.

Wonder if the 'morons' still think Bates is trying to ruin the club now after bringing in a proven manager?

Believable6 Unbelievable5

I actually think the 'morons' have helped. I reckon Warnock's appointment might not have happened this season without the unrest.

In any case that's a pretty pathetic view. I wasn't one of the marchers and I don't chant 'Bates Out' because I want to sing for the team. Fact is though, we're all entitled to express our opinions, especially when we're paying £600+ to see 'rabbit in the headlights' Redfearn mismanaging a team (and I know it was dumped on him - I feel sorry for Redders). Bates HAD to appoint a proper manager because he was looking at crowds of 15,000 next season and serious money problems.

If Bates has now realised he can't continue to ignore a very large, very unhappy section of his paying customers then surely that's a good thing.

'Bates in, Bates in'. What are those fans saying now. It was supposed to be Redfearn till the end of the season for all sorts of reasons. I have consistently said Bates is in business but that doesn't mea he wont support the manager. He just lost confidence in SG's ability to bring in players that could takeus forward. He did support SG. That's why we were over budget with too many average and below average players.Having said that its interesting that we now have a chairman and manager who in the past have admitted their 'dislike' of Leeds and their fans. At last we have a manager who takes no nonsense, leeds need a strong figure and I tell you why, Leeds are the only team in the championship who every other team is gunning for, it is a fact every team raises there game when they play Leeds, warnock knows how to deal with players in that situation he will not stand for players who pass the buck, he knows what it takes, Grayson was ok but not strong enough. Qpr have made a big mistake, this guy is perfect for Leeds and the supporters will love him. Did you see Leeds at Coventry, now come on Leeds fans, that performance is not Leeds players wanting to play for Leeds , warnock will sort this bunch out. I am now looking forward with at least some hope. Kevin (keighley).

Neil Warnock has been appointed as the new manager of Leeds United.

The former QPR boss has agreed a deal with the Elland Road club which will take him up to the end of the 2012/13 season.

Warnock has previously taken both QPR and Sheffield United out of the Championship, something chairman Ken Bates will be hoping he can repeat with Leeds.

Wanrock told the club's official website: "I feel I have one big challenge left in me and believe Leeds is a club that should be in the Premier League. I want to be the man who is able to deliver this for a set of fans who never cease to amaze me with their numbers and their loyalty.

"Having met with Ken Bates it was an easy decision to take up the challenge and with his support, we share the same vision of getting Leeds United in the Premier League."

Donny, have to, I repeat, have to, be there for a sound beating.... And we make money, the report from the fa and goverment says 40% of championship club wages are well over 100% of income, so that means at least 8 teams at risk of being in the same position at least! take 3 off who will be getting parachute payments. we will not be able to do that given the cva in place as we still have to report in to the receiver until the cva as gone. not sure when this is but this will effect what we spend. lets hope warnock is in and cva is over this year and some new investment comes in an off we go MOT

Why, who is a better candidate than him for what we want! and to get promotion! no one, put aside wether you like him as no one does, but he is passionate and is track record is second to none! forget going back down that is only a problem when we get there
