Am I missing something here? Surely if David Haig is trying to buy 75% of the club from GFH then the money goes to GFH? Does this mean they are paying for the shares AND investing further money into the club or what?

David Haigh and his consortium will pay GFH for 75% of the club thus vastly reducing GFH stake. GFH keep minority stake.

Agree0 Disagree0

Scoops - (OP here) yes I realise that but surely the money for the 75% stake goes to repay GFH then, NOT into club funds?

GFH made an investment in Leeds, not a donation to them?

Agree0 Disagree0

OP you are correct. When you a buy the shares in a business the money goes to the owner of the shares which is GFH in this case. The company (i.e. LUFC) will receive nothing.
The new consortium will then have to inject new cash into the company by either buying new shares or lending the company money.

Gradel not in the starting line up for St Ettiene at PSG tonight, does this mean he is on his way back to leeds?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Why would he miss the game because of any Leeds interest? I would love to see Max back at Leeds if he were fully fit and scoring goals, but if that were the case then he probably wouldn't be available?

The only player I think we should take back is Becchio, I still think it was Warnock that turned his head, not Norwich.

He hasn't missed the game he came on from the bench!

I really don't understand the posts about bringing old faces back - can't we move forward for a change, BMD has new ideas compared to the dinosaurs of old and is slowly getting us to where we would like to be - for me no Gradel and definately no Beccio let's get some young quality, pacey players in who can score and create for me it would be Rowe, Wells, Le Fondre and tie up Zaliukas and have shot st Albrighton from Villa - maybe a lot to ask but it is silly season

Agree0 Disagree0

No way becchio to slow i'd say you lot mad bring gradel back now he loves leeds and we love him and also get wells and i'd prob be happy we would probaly need another winger tho

So u just said no to gradel but then said get some pacey goalscorers u just described gradel. Does it matter he's played before aslong as he's good enough

Agree0 Disagree0

Haven't posted for a while but.

Yes we have a good formation with 3-5-2 at the moment and are performing very well with it. but we used that formation vs Blackburn and was very lackluster, that game cried out for some pace to make something happen the other end of the pitch. My point being, you need a plan B as teams get wise to your tactics and formation, and set up to counter that. so yes whilst we are enjoying a rich vein of form. we can't be naive and disregard any players that can boost our SQUAD, because we are doing so well right now. it's about preparation for the future and playing against other formations.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

That's a very good point there you brought up ANTW, very logical see what you are saying yep teams can get wise to a formation when doing their homework properly on a forth coming match, we certainly lack pace sometimes, MOT!

Thank god - someone else with some sense! I have been saying this for ages and unfortunately a lot of the players are very similar in what they deliver (although not all have the same quality) need to shift some out and bring more depth and variation.

Leeds utd have just very randomly uploaded some photos of max Gradel onto their page. It must be pretty much a done deal.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Or maybe a ploy to sell tickets for this weekend.

Whilst Max is a phenomenal player, I have doubts as to whether we should change our formation at this point in the season? The formation really suits are current squad and we're finally getting the best out of players like Peltier and Pugh from this formation! It's also enabled us to get the best out of our younger centre backs as they're playing with the experienced Zaliukas! For me, I'd sign a striker

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I have to agree with the above post, things are going well at the moment the lads are getting used to this formation and each other, another striker would be useful but having said that max gradel can score goals!

Agree0 Disagree0

You can't just stick to the same formation and players every game as most know there will be injuries suspensions and loss of form. We had this with warnock where we only played one way (hoof ball) once teams knew how to counteract that we were in a relegation battle! We need options and not just player options we need to be able to change a complete formation by making only one or two changes to a line up either before a game or during.

Agree0 Disagree0

If I remember rightly gradel could play anywhere in attack and could easily play just behnd the front two?

Knowing out luck, we will sign Gradel, the lad will try his hardest and he will damage his cruciate ligament again and we will be stuck with a crock :-(

I think we should avoid him and move forward with someone else, no point going backwards in my opinion :-)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Agree. Personally I have never forgiven his stupidity in getting sent off against Bristol and then his behaviour afterwards. We can do a lot better.

Agree0 Disagree0

You have never forgiven him how long ago was that he has done so much for our team since than I think you lot are mad you don't have a clue bring max back now and snoddy lol

Morning guys, I really need some help and advice re: Christmas shopping. My marriage guidance counsellor reckons I need to put more effort into my marriage and be a bit more thoughtful. Last year I got Mrs Mick an Argos voucher as her main present and and some screen wash from our local garage (only thing open on Christmas morning) and she wasn't happy! She's a bit high maintenance. this year I've pushed the boat out and got her a Baywatch Babe ironing board cover which is shamazing. I need to get something else. Any ideas lads? I really appreciate your help, but can you make it quick because I want to be finished before 11am for obvious reasons.
Happy Christmas to you all.

I could let you have my wife's old donkey jacket and I believe there is a dead wood pidgeon in the pocket, I'll throw that in for nowt?

I've just bought my wife a new petrol strimmer, as she's always complaining the garden needs a bit of work doing.

{Ed003's Note - Didn't look like it last time I saw her =-O }

Thanks guys for the advice, some great gift ideas here. To the last poster, I'm no expert on women, but I reckon your missus might be referring to her lady garden! If that's the case you need to get her a voucher for a vagazzle down at the local beauty saloon. Mrs Mick had hers done last year which is no recommendation as it still looks like a wizards sleeve, just with less hairs on it!

17 Dec 2013 23:44:09 Don't know why I'm seeing so many people on here and on various other sites talking about gradel and about him being no good for the prem, I didn't realise we was in the prem! Yes I hope we get there but there is no guarantee we will get there this season or even next, just because were supposingly going to have money to spend firstly doesn't guarantee promotion and secondly we can't buy prem quality players to get us out of a different division, it's been proven u buy players who can play in this division then look at things IF we get there. And finally u nor I know wether he is good enough for the prem or not I've seen loads of players go up to the prem and hold there own when many thought they would fail!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Grounded, sensible thinking. We need players that will improve the quality of the squad without destabilising what we currently have (hard work and commitment).
