Look gents I don't come on here to troll, argue, offend or upset. I come to voice my opinion and this season has been great, i am as proud of the team as everyone else.

I think the thing I feel most with my "negative" posts is frustration. were so close and it's the signs have been starting to show for a while. the situation we find ourselves in now shouldn't really have been a possibility 4 games ago! we've been battered many times and it was only so long until we couldn't rely on wood anymore and we began to concede the goals we have been looking capable of all season.

7th would be a fantastic achievement and I'd have snapped 7th straight up once august we can't really say we've played people of the park apart from one or two occasions and I think this is part of the problem.

However much possession and pretty stuff we play in the centre we have always been shown up going forward. If we had changed bits and it didn't work then fine we've tried it and given it a damn good go, but alas a lot of the time we don't, we continue to probe and faff about with no end product.

Wagner has taken a similar quality squad and in the same time frame has turned them into a ruthless, mistake punishing team. Hopefully next season we will learn from this and push on.

can see your point, we have done well and it has been a good season but at same time i'd be gutted to miss out of playoffs at this point. if we were 10th at xmas and come good we would be buzzing be we looked set for playoffs to still be outside. i do think fixtures favour us and we will sneek into playoffs. certainly don't see you as a troll just a passionate leeds fan who has opinions. some i agree with others i don't but i can always see where you are coming from MOT mate

long may you continue to post. Right or wrong, positive or negative it does not matter. These are your thoughts and as this is a forum you have every right to voice them.

Cheers lads and I feel the same, but isn't that why we love the game so much and what makes football fans bonded so close, the passion? Yes there are many things which people post on here that I don't agree with but it's great that we have a place like this to vent on and share ideas, thoughts and opinions (so eds thank you for that)

We all want what is best for the club, whether that's promotion this season or next, but we will never be shaken in our undying belief that our club is the greatest and I am proud to be part of a family which consists of such passionate and wonderful fans!

I would happily have a drink with each and every one of you. As our anthem goes, we've been through it all together and we've had our ups and downs, but we'll stay with you forever!

Never had a problem with your posts Cura. You seem to be a realist rather than a pessimist. I'm naturally a pessimist, I can't help fearing the worst 😱, then anything better is a bonus. It doesn't mean I'm less of a Leeds fan than someone who thinks it's sacrilege to say anything negative against LUFC. As long as we aren't too offensive to each other then it's OK. Come back George 😈. You are missed! MOT.

Nothing wrong with your posts curah. We all think different. Me i am optimistic but agree with you. Said ten games ago we needed to change things around and start attacking teams and play with two wingers, but nothing really has changed.

I am still buzzing we are so close to play off spot and think we can pinch one but am dreading them if we play the way we are at the moment. Strange things happen though and its the first time in ages we have had something to play for this late in season. Up to the lads now. Onwards and hopefully upwards

You're welcome on here Curahee as is everyone else. tbh i think you make some insightful posts and although these aren't always blindly positive and sometimes difficult for fans to read (the truth hurts sometimes) I don't sense the malice, insults or mocking tone that a wum would tend to adopt. You're always a decent read so keep it up

all this love is all well and good but i have one thing to say. BERADRI ON THE LEFT! everyone intitled to opinion but anyone saying beradi on the left or anything to do with hock or bates is off my xmas card list.

{Ed033's Note - What about Bacardi on the left and Liebfraumilch on the right?

19 Apr 2017 14:56:34
Curahee, we all have different opinions here and sometimes you come across as posting for reactions hence the day someone said you were trolling but it's nothing personal we all get called out on our posts at times.

So bermo, would your head explode if i mentioned the time when the HOCK LEFT BERARDI on the bench! trying to find BATE in this, but couldn't do it without being rude. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.

Some people do I'm not saying that you do just that it sometimes comes across that way anyway it's not personal. Everyone is entitled to post and reply what they think most of the time even speedy.

Curahee. We're each entitled to our own opinions, that's the whole point of a banter site, isn't it? Sometimes your posts do seem a bit pointless or people see it as you're wanting a reaction from your fellow banterers. Each to their own, whatever floats your boat is the way I look at it. P. S. Bermo. Don't worry, no one will ever post a comment about BERADRI ON THE LEFT! But whilst you mention it, what's Berardi's best side, left or right? I go for Berardi on the left!

What if, Fulham and Wednesday need a draw for both to go through. They play an obvious draw. The FA take a leaf from the Olympic badminton and chuck em both out. Then the twist means we are in, so they fine them 100 quid a piece instead.

It's definitely on the cards for that scenario. But let's see what happens at the weekend.

Agree1 Disagree0

19 Apr 2017 13:58:36
Is it against the rules for both teams to play for a draw though? I understand if its a collaboration then it wouldn't be allowed but if just neither team is up for anything but to push it around like a training game i'm not sure what the FA could do. If it was Leeds on the other hand, we'd be fined 100,000 quid and docked 63 points.

Three wins and we make the playoffs - two wins and a draw and we will probably make the playoffs - Two wins and a loss and our chances are slim As Leeds supporters we have an expectation of top flight football - we are a huge club playing 2nd tier In December we were the form team and looking a certainty for the playoffs and many (me included) believed that 4 top signings would propel us to a real challenge for an automatic spot .

Our expectations were heightened by the incoming Mr R his introduction and timing was significant as it coincided with the January window for transfer - clearly had we signed the right players then we would be in a much better position - Liam Lindsay, Loftus-Cheek on loan, Max Gradel and Izzy Brown on loan - our central midfield has been woeful all season and without young Vieria we are lost - many of the games we have won have been the result of a superb back line and Chris Wood

Whoever gets the nod as our midfield two/three could write themselves into Elland Road folklore if they, one minute, sniff out an attack then a split second later are found in the opposition box setting up a goal.

Then do that every minute of the 90+. They must show the engine of the Flying Scot. For me it all hinges on midfield. We have not much problem stopping attacks, passing sideways or back, but as soon as we attack, get near their box, the minds go blank. Our lack of goal attempts recently have been scandalous.

Our lack of goals from midfield has been abysmal. C'mon let's just go for it. The next three games everyone should feel like they have just finished the SAS recruitment course. Anyone not carried off on a stretcher is not really trying.

The dark clouds are gathering but We Are Leeds and will fight to the end. Remember what King Billy said "You get nowt for being second" (7th).

The good thing is we've fallen out with 3 games to spare and not 1, so gives us a chance to bounce back and work for it. I think we've been casual since January and the players probably thought we'd already made it.

Well, the recipe is a simple one. If we win the next 3 games we are in the playoffs and on the back of a small winning run as well. The key word being WIN. To win we must score. A solid D and parking the bus will not be sufficient.

To score we need to create chances. In my opinion it's time for Bridcutt to take a seat and let Viera and Phillips have a free rein. I know Monk's comfort zone lies around organising a sound defense and he's done a great job with that. He has gotten us to this point. BUT -Now is the time to press forward.

It's MARCHING on together, not standing steadfastly together . Green and the back 4 have shown they will hold their own and take care of themselves. Our only focus now should be on creating chances and scoring goals.

wood didn't score on sat and green conceeded drop both. on real note beardi on the left over best left back in the league. really come on we still going with this one, monk is great but has to get over himself with this one and play him no matter what . also note taylor come on for beradi (sub in itself is note of his mistake) and then we score against newcastle.

Bridcutt is good and think he was great against newcastle first 45 but we need to be more positive o'kane and veria play for me as brid too negitive and phillps been poor last two games. hope we go with Green TAYLOR, pontus, bartley, aling, viera, o'kane, roofe, pablo, ped and wood. I think with fitxures for all teams this team is our best 11 and will get us into playoffs. if not still gave it a good shot

cant argue with the mate, i think he has been off his game only thing for him is he is qauity and one moment from him can turn a game however i agree he has not done enough recently, i'd also be happy with ped, roofe, sacko. sacko has faults but pace is amazing and when you look back over season highltight so many of our gaols have come from him

After the promise Cellino gave at the start of the season about play offs, in recent weeks he'll have been happy to see that he was almost keeping his promise. I think monk is going to have a very strongly minded phone call from MC to tell him to sort his act out and give the fans what they want.

This next week is telling and if these boys have any desire of making the premier league like they've been saying since Christmas now is the time to show it. Let's make a late charge and get 9 points and give what the fans deserve.

I think it's possible and like others will do so until mathematically not, but for now let's not get on the players backs. We are fans, we are supporters, don't write off this great team. Yes we've ridden our luck for too long but who cares anymore we have a genuine chance, let's just throw everything at it.

Monk needs to change it up admittedly, we've been worked out and we've scored 4 goals in our last 6 games, 3 of them coming in 1 game. People have worked out wood, so we need support from else where like in the Preston game.

On another note well done to Brighton. They've had a great season, and if this year isn't our turn, it's something to aspire to be like next year isn't it? MOT BROTHERS

Following the performance and result against Wolves I think the three options I suggested remain the same but in a different order. Finishing seventh is the most likely, finishing in the top six but losing in the play-offs the next and getting promoted the least likely.

Reasons:
We are a team that have been getting results without looking convincing all season. The teams around us have the momentum and do look convincing; Jansson is likely to pick up a booking at some point and will be missing for the play-offs. If Wood doesn't score we generally look average at best. We don't seem to get results when Bridcutt starts.

The Bridcutt and Phillips combination doesn't look right. On the positive side we do put in 100%; we do have some quality, our defence is solid for the most part (Cooper excepted) and we can pull off the unexpected. Burton will be a tough game but we should get a draw at least, Norwich is anybody's guess - if they turn up to play we could get a real battering but if not they can be a poor outfit at times.

Wigan is our best bet but we won't create too many chances. We should be able therefore to get four points at least but I think all of our competitors will do better than that. We need at least seven points to get into top six and Jansson to get booked against Burton after we secure a win.

If we do that we have a chance and then hope Cooper and Bartley can keep the defence tight. It's very precarious at the moment with too many ifs and buts.
