Bit of a pointless post here but I will say it anyway

Just imagine if we had our current back 5 and the midfield and attack from our promotion team, think we would storm this division.

See it was a bit pointless

Ed I think that this site could do with a like button (like ) for the comments about a rumour...some of the responses are hilarious and I think it's a shame these people don't get credit for their wit and comic genius {Ed013's Note - Or a percentage button to calculate which is the most made up!}

Absolutely devastated about Ross's injury personally I think hes the best player in the team and one of our only attacking options with any flair whos capable of changing games.
We'll need a great replacement on loan if hes gonna be out for a lengthy period as we cant patch up a hole that big with average players.
Any thoughts on who we might be interested in?

Believable6 Unbelievable1

Without doubt the best player in the team. that's why Neil was so quick to backtrack on what he said about him in the off season.

Agree3 Disagree0

I think i would be throwing poleon straight into attack rather than playing gray if we cant bring anyone in on loan.

Not a rumour but, with RMcCormack out, NW needing a striker, who better than beckford?! Probably won't happen down to bates, but it's exactly what we need! Eye for goal, and is brilliant with becchio! Needs to happen, come on bates open your wallet or get out! LUFC MOT

Believable12 Unbelievable1

CanĀ“t see him doing that the moths might escape (if they have survived being shut away for so long) M.O.T

Agree4 Disagree0

Not going to happen.
Bates will not put up any money while the situation regarding the takeover is what it is.
At least it will be an opportunity for Poleon. Many a good striker got his opportunity at the unlucky fate of another striker (Shrek for one). Hope this is the case here.
My personal opinion is that this might be a season or two, too early for Poleon.
Hope he proves me wrong.

Agree3 Disagree1

Messi is better than beckford

Agree3 Disagree1

I completely agree about Beckford, he worked extremely well with Becchio before (which I appreciate was a while ago and also in League 1). It may take a few matches for them to get the understanding back but I personally would love to see him back. Whether its realistic is a completely different matter, completion of the takeover would surely make this a realistic proposition. I just hope that Warnock is given the cash to bring someone in of similar quality to Ross and who is a proven goalscorer

More chance of platting p=ss!

Why is everyone going on bout beckford he was never a great player just average poacher with pace we missed out on cox ,sharp and maynard to name a few and they are all better playes just shows wat a club we have become under master bates

Anyone who slags other people off who decide to boycott games is harsh imo. I accept that people don't want to channel their frustration towards taking out on the players but people should be entitled to their opinions on what is best for the club without having 10s of people jumping on their backs!

I don't think anybody who is thinking of boycotting loves the club any less in fact I think it shows those people care a whole lot about the long term future of the club as their voting with their feet!

everyone can spend their money as they see fit and at the end of the day if your gonna spend money on tickets, food, drink you are ultimately lining bates' greedy little pockets! I see both sides of the argument but people shouldn't get slated for their opinions! Everyone wants the best for LEEDS UNITED not Ken bates, get him out!

I'm pretty certain I heard a man talking on a mobile saying that his auntie is sleeping with a man who used to be Ken Bates's Gran's milkman and he's heard on the grapevine from his horse trainers dentist that a man went to his local butchers looking like he fancied buying a football club and 100% stated "I am about to buy Leeds United, watch this space" So yea, basically the takeover will be done tomorrow, obviously, why wouldn't you believe an anonymous post on a forum?

I wish everyone would stop stating dates for when the takeover will be completed. Literally nobody knows. It's boring reading the same old rubbish day in day out. How can you all sit there and write this crap knowing full well you have just made it up? I have been reading it for over 100 days now and nothing has materialised. Bates nor the 'investors' know what's going on so how the hell do any of you? This is a rumours site, it's not for lies or made up fantasies. What will be will be, and knowing Leeds, that'll be nothing. JNLUFC.

Can someone please tell me the logic in what bates is doing. He is surely not making that much money being a mid table championship side? if you want the big pay check you need to invest, surely he has the money to do so? you cant take the money with you when you die you motherF lets hope its sooner rather than later cause he is an person. why would you run a football club and not give the manager funds. i wish i could understand cause it makes me really frickin angryyy

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Er,because hes in the middle of a takeover, with a price for the club already agreed,so why spend his money on players, thats for the new regime I would think.

Agree2 Disagree1

Hes not been in a takeover for the last 7y as he

Agree1 Disagree0

100% agree with the first reply, as annoying as it is that Warnock is being held back with transfers, Bates is understandably not going to spend money in a club he's in the process of selling. It's not him being tight or doing it to annoy the fans, it's being sensible - I know thats not easy to like or appreciate but theres method to the madness......if you'd agreed the sale of your house, would you then start doing it up?! In essence it's the same thing

Agree1 Disagree1

He never spent it before the takeover came to town. Now i'm beginning to think it's the circus in town instead.
mot4life

Agree2 Disagree1

To the post above my other post. Bates never spent money when there was no takeover. So this is no change on Bates front. He's never spent the money we make or reinvested.n Your saying like we should feel sorry for him or be more understanding. He's a taker not a giver.

Well after the game at Cardiff where our defence and Kenny in particular kept the score respectable, it looks like NW has fixed our main problem from last year which was a very leaky defence. Unfortunatley this has come at the cost of having a toothless one dimensional attack which has got worse with the injury to McCormack. Need some flair in the midfield and wings. Even up front we need something different as with McCormack injured we only have Becchio who while his work rate is second to none but with him up front opposition teams now know how we are going to play the ball up to him and quite easily neutralise the threat from him. The only reason he was so successful in his first year was that he was an unknown. We need someone next to him who can do something different and maybe we will see Becchio get amoungst the goals again

Believable4 Unbelievable5

He had already got 5 goals this season!!

Agree10 Disagree0

Not sure that's very logical. If Kenny's having to make so many saves is the defence really doing its job that well? If it was, we wouldn't have been so reliant on Kenny would we?

BIG FEAR: Lost against Cardiff, Mac out, Green out. Reckon Hull loss on Tues will see downturn in crowd as fans lose patience with potential takeover and see club now sliding as result of strength in depth. KB may have got us started and felt chuffed but its never enough and already its heading South unless he comes up with more financial support of NW or offloads to someone who can. His inflated position and stance (bluff) in my opinion, is one game short of a major downturn. On another note: Really impressed with Rudi... wish we had two more with same attitude. Well done to all those at club who brought this guy in

Would Anyone else like to see Lucas at Leeds coaching Lees and Pearce? I'd love to see him back. Him being there might even get us singing like we used to? Or even when Warnock leaves us why not give Lucas a go at management? He'd certainly be able to motivate players.

Believable8 Unbelievable8

Well we had mcallister back as manager at that didn't work being a great player doesnt make you a great manager. Also Radebe hasn't even mentioned he is interested in management if he was he would probably already be managing someone..

Agree1 Disagree0

Isn't he in with the South Africa national setup?

What happened to the Varney at Blackpool that annihilated Prem defences?

Believable10 Unbelievable2

He went to terrible teams Derby and Pompy and lost a lot of confidence, THAT Varney will be back im sure

Leicester lost again today and when losing 2-0 andllooking for goals left Beckford on the bench. He is not wanted there so NW should definitely make a loan move for him, especially with McCormack injured

I for one would like to see Monty Gimpel start the game against Everton to keep Pearce fit for the league as that is our biggest priority this season, also it gives us a chance to see what this lad is capable of.
