Paul madely the most underated top player of all time wish u well paul and your family think club should bring out his shirt and proceeds to go to his favorite charity mind u that would mean every shirt in the first team!! What a player mot with u paul god bless

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Totally agree. I watched him for most of his career.
A sublime unassuming player. Effective in any outfield position asked of him. Not money orientated. A true LUFC legend.

Re Paul Madeley, there is an article in today's Daily Snail that suggests that Top Cat Terry Cooper has this week undergone life saving surgery for Bowel Cancer.

Is there any official news about this and Paul Madeley?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

It's sad about Cooper and Madeley but these two along with Bremner, Giles, Jones, Charlton, Gray, etc were Leeds legends. Some people put Rudy Austin in the same category and it winds me up. He should never be talked about in the same breath as the others. Get real.

Agree0 Disagree0

Eh who's put Austin in "ledgendary" status first I have heard.

Bowel cancer is nasty desiease. My best friend from school passed away from Bowel cancer aged just 26 after a short battle with the illness, it is not just an older person desiease. His dad Nicky Johns played for Charlton and Millwall and he and his family have set up the Mr Brightside foundation and know the score in conjuntion with the bobby moore foundation. please take time to google them not to donate but just to read the information and see the facts behind the illness. They have raised thousands and the family have done a great job, my company has also raised around 4k towards the great cause. Also on a lighter note on the Mr brightside page you will see me in a old john lukic leeds top as my team won the 5-a-side cup in Stephens Memory knocking out a team that featured ex-leeds boy Peter Sweeney

Is Surrey a desert island now?

Agree0 Disagree0

We've too much youth as it is, we're fine with Cook and Mowatt for now. We need an experienced midfielder

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with that Mitchell unless we have a young David batty in the academy! We need some bite

Agree0 Disagree0

That goes without saying Harte. I think Salerno's signings have been astute, another Antenucci would be terrific :)

Agree0 Disagree0

Always thought surrey was over rated. Good that england has finally detached itself. However
Didnt reddy say. Young midfielder next in line for first team.
Do agree a batty like player needed

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm Surrey you feel that way Aus, but the referendum was in favour of Surrey breaking away, shame.

Just read an article on Paul Madeley, and the memories flooded back. What a player he was, total Leeds, could play well anywhere. Never got the recognition he deserved but he is truly a Leeds legend. I remember when he opened his sports shop on Roundhay road and there was a queue for his autograph, and he spent most of the day signing peoples shirts. Top bloke and its a shame such an athlete should end up with parkinsons and I wish him and his family all the best. MOT

Can't believe it.

Sad to hear that wish him and his family all the best amazingly gifted player and to be good anywhere on the pitch speaks volumes for how gifted he was

Trying to call his brother John in Spain.
MC isn't interested but I am.
Leeds must do something even if it's just for charity.
We didn't have many like Paul Madeley.
