So consider the facts
Bates knows how to make money, so GFH must have the cash otherwise he would have walked away. Thats why he is willing to wait to complete the deal

So maybe GFH have more money than we know.

If the takeover goes through we will have the Ground and the Training facilities back as part of our club

GFH, Yes they are an investment company so they could be acting for someone else or maybe they want to develop Elland Road, Casino etc

The one thing I do know is Bates has been taking money out and selling the young talent....can GFH be any worse.

If they want to make a profit they have to get us back in the Premier League

Believable12 Unbelievable2

I believe that there is an investor backing GFH , the mysterious backer would have shown proof of funds to GFH who in turn shown proof of funds to Bates, now that the deal has been finalised the the new owner has allowed there identitiy to be made known to the football league for the fit and proper test.

makes me laugh the hypocricy of some of our fans, you want bates out, someone comes in to buy the club, they get slagged off, you wanted Warnock in, few bad results you say Warnock out, and a few times ive seen say drop Kenny when you all wanted him above Lonergan

MAKE YOUR MINDS UP!!

Believable12 Unbelievable3

We want results on and off the pitch and if we don't get them those responsible need changing

Agree4 Disagree3

Spot on OP ,if it takes time so be it, 6 days or 6 months, makes no difference if we get the right outcome, 2nd poster , you cant keep changing things just because a few results go against us

Agree1 Disagree1

Some of us never wanted Warnock and his dreadful hoof ball in the first place. I'm not a hypocrite, I've been calling for him to go since the day he arrived.

Agree2 Disagree1

We (the fans) should make a plee for a grayson return! Leeds supporter( even refered to Leeds as "we" on sky today!), top manager; proof is in how much better we were with him last season compared to Warnock! With backing he would get us promoted sooner rather than later! #there's only one Simon grayson!

Agree1 Disagree0

Did anyone hear nw say i bet simons in the studio rubbing his hands together ? Well neil I think you might be right there.

Nice to see ex leeds boys helpin to take care of the small team from over the Pennines, the purple nosed one wont be happy :)

Believable10 Unbelievable0

Jonny wouldn't have missed that chance if he was still with us.

Really depressed right now. Can someone please post one of them "Take over to be completed within the next 72 hours" rumours to make me feel all nice again. btw Millwall are s**t and if we can't come away with 3 points tomorrow we are heading straight for div 1.

Simple message,S.O.S. To our players tomorrow. Save Our Season.

Believable8 Unbelievable0

The season not even lost yet!!! its november for crying out loud and the league is very tight, plenty of time yet, just because were not pace setters in the race doesnt mean we cant come back

Agree4 Disagree5

Our form Is a true reflection of our league position. Only wins will move us up the table, and six wins without one gives the supporters every reason to be anxious.

Agree2 Disagree0

You'll have to write a letter to Santa.
Same as Neil Warnock is doing for his new players. Rumour has it that he hopes to open a few gift wrapped presents from under the tree on the 25th that contain some real footballers.
Think he'll be disappointed when he gets slippers again

Haigh isn't even a Leeds fan, he started following football and saying he supported Leeds on twitter in July. GFH are doing this to make profit, to give it back to the investors. Buy the club, ground and any other facilities, get us to the prem the cheapest way they can and sell us or 100m. They'll be gone in three seasons. {Ed013's Note - He was born in Leeds and then moved to Cornwall. Does it really matter if they sanction the moves for decent players in Jan and buy back ER/TA}

Believable0 Unbelievable13

Check gfh-capital website check ceo which is david haigh then look at his profile he is indeed a leeds supporter!
so there lol
irish leeds fan!

Agree7 Disagree0

Good point Ed13, so GFH want to buy us and return us to the Prem League, then possibly sell to someone who can afford to buy a Prem League club for £100mil +, remind me again why this would be a problem?

Agree5 Disagree0

"Good point Ed13, so GFH want to buy us and return us to the Prem League, then possibly sell to someone who can afford to buy a Prem League club for £100mil +, remind me again why this would be a problem"

Because basically we need the mone spending on the team, not putting in GFH's pocket or haven't you been watching what Bates has done for the last few years?

I have to ask myself why Bates won't spend 10 million to give us automatic promotion and then take the 100 million plus that would come from getting us there?

More to this than meets the eye/pocket?

Agree2 Disagree0

Yes but in order to return Leeds to Prem League, they would have to invest in players in order to achieve this. I don't really have a love for GFH, we need investment now, not in six months, but now, this afternoon would be good.

Well fellow Leeds fans, I am confident we will win the next four games.
I would prefer a back four of
bryam lees pearce and Drury
but we are likely to see
peltier lees kisnorbo white

The midfield actually is looking ok. The only player i think we will miss(albeit big style) is austin.
Diouf, Norris, Green, Tonge
No that midfield is pretty damn good!

If Warnock had any sense he would keep that midfield any keep bryam at RB. Leaving Peltier out!

Lets say he does and Drury is fit, and plays LB.

Bryam, Lees, Kisnorbo, Drury
Diouf, Norris, Green, Tonge

Thats impressive isn't it!!
Struggling to find a position for Austin now?

Our front line is missing! Non one playing particularly well. Bechio hasn't been playing. Varney? Well...aahhhh.
How about we had McCormack and Somma back?
Some of you, from your comments would cum in your pants at this team.
Bryam, Lees, Kisnorbo, Drury
Diouf, Norris, Green, Tonge
McCormack, Somma

Now, I hear you saying, this team is about as likely as the Don and Bremner from stepping into the ground and telling us to cheer up and start believing. And to tell all out mates to turn up at the ground to push the team to promotion.

So ok, how about
Bryam, Lees, Kisnorbo, Drury
Green, Norris, Tonge
Bechio, Diouf
Hall

Now that is a team without Pearce and without austin that could win tomorrow. and not ust that could win the next four. No, win the league!
We are Leeds, we're marching on together and we're gonna see you win!

Now I hear you say, who is this bloke, why isn't he manager of Leeds? :)

Believable9 Unbelievable16

Totally agree, we need to be positive , stuff all the doom and gloom, we are better than millwall, 3 pts MOT

Agree6 Disagree2

It's all about confidence and form, of which the team are poor with at present.Against Millwall will be a test of any teams character, if we come away with a draw it would be classed as a decent result.

Agree2 Disagree1

Why are people disagreeing? Wot, you don't think we're gonna win the league?

Agree3 Disagree3

I admire your confidence. Not having a goal keeper and playing with 10 men is a leap of faith though :)

Agree5 Disagree0

Draw? Bloody draw? No friggin way will I be happy with that. Yes, it might be 'ok' lardy bloody dah, but I ain't happy with ok. I want great. I want three points! Super, super leeds!
An as for the last poster. Goalkeeper? We don't need one! Heads and bodies will be in the way of goal. Your right though I did forget the 11th man. I would use another striker if we had one. Instead I'll use kenny as striker. Yeah. In fact millwall won't get near our goal.

Agree2 Disagree0

"If Warnock had any sense"

Ah, now that's where your argument falls apart.....

... Warnock seems to be very good at getting publicity for himself, but not so good at putting his money where his mouth is?

Wasn't it him who said (after we got thrashed at home by Forest) You will never see another Leeds team like this?

Cue a 6-1 home defeat by Watford of all people?

Think it's time Warnock shut his gob and put up or leave?

At least he's had money to spend, which is more than Grayson got?

Can some body put me straight on who owms eland rd and thorp arch am totally confused. Money from delph was never used to get thorp arch back. So suddernly bates ownes it now and the ground. No wonder takeover is so complicated there seems to be only one person who knows. Wats going on

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Not so simple sadly. Property ownership must be registered with the Land Registry in the UK so in theory we know but because it's owned by an opaque offshore company, in practice we don't really know anything useful.

The ground and TA are owned by a company called the Teak Trading Corporation. The problem is that the company is registered in the British Virgin Isles where, unlike here, there is no requirement for the company to publish the names of its directors or shareholders. Therefore, the true ownership of ER & TA is not in the public domain.

I seem to remember reading, but could be wrong, that Harvey stated under oath in the Levi trial that Bates didn't have any involvement in Teak Trading. I doubt that Harvey would perjure himself since it's a guaranteed prison sentence if you get found out. Therefore it seems probable that Bates is telling the truth for once and doesn't have anything to do with it.

News just in!
When takeover completes, the following to happen within 24hrs.

1. NW to be replaced with Don Revie
2. Lorimer to take back his No 7 shirt.
3. Clarke to play up front with Becchio.
4. Charlton and Hunter to shore up defence.

Well sorry, but just thought I'd add my couple of cents worth of fantasy like 95% of all other posters do. MOT Rick

Believable6 Unbelievable7

Just the sort of person we need at this moment in time, half of leeds fans are tossers

Agree3 Disagree3

The first half of point 1 would be an immediate improvement. The second half point 1 would still be an improvement (god rest Don's soul)

i understand people are really pi**** about GFH but atleast wait untill you know more details till you start slating them. It could be so many reasons its taken so long and bates im sure will have played a massive part in that. if and when it happens and they are useless then i will be the first to have a rant. be positive get behind the team aandd hope for the best! LIAM MOT

Believable3 Unbelievable0

I can understand what u say mate but due to the time its takin its affectin the team and our ability to bring people in that we need. gfh must b able to see that. if its not resolved quickly we will b facin a relegation battle and we wont b able to get any quality in. players wont come with all the uncertainty... would u?

Agree2 Disagree1

Whats affecting the team, is people boycotting due to supporters trusts like LUST opening their mouths when it isnt needed

reading between the lines from what warnock said on sky take over a while away yet

Believable1 Unbelievable1

If you read or listen to what he said he only knows a little more then we do and said basically he knows nothing so he is only guessing. Why do ppl listen to a story then spin it to be he said this he said that. Why not just wait and see. It's been 8-9 years since anything good happened at our club do a few more days is not long to wait.

Agree3 Disagree2

17 Nov 2012 12:17:41
I think GFH should hang their heads in shame. There pathetic and cumbersome takeover attempt has slowly strangled the life out of the team. I seriously doubt that they have the funds or the 'know-how' to drive LUFC forwards. Make no mistake, Leeds are heading into a relegation battle, promotionis a million miles away. In my opinion GFH should step aside and allow buyers with more capital and who move faster than a snail with gout. GFH seem almost too scared to complete, is the resposibility and high profile of LUFC too much for them ?

Believable14 Unbelievable3

It has taken to long but they have nearly completed now. Lets see if your still saying the same when we go up.

Agree3 Disagree10

You have had 8y of Bates and yet you still think its GFH that is delaying the takeover unbelievable. GFH that have everything to loos and Ken Bates that as turned our club it to a rotting corpse and as **** all to loos I know who my money is on

Agree4 Disagree1

When we go up haha haven't laughed like that since Grayson was manager.

I was going to ask GFH to organise my works Xmas party...but they said they couldn't organise a p**s up in a brewery.

Believable10 Unbelievable1

Best one yet lol

Agree3 Disagree2

Which Xmas party did you have in mind, 2013 or 2014.lol

Agree5 Disagree1

Hmmm. a xmas party with no booze, no gambling and no pigs for blankets. As for the copping off with the village bike....

All you ever see when you come on thirstiest s moan moan moan.
Yes it's annoying its taking so long and yes gfh-c and bates have gone about this sale wrong and the longer it takes the more rumours and dirt slinging that's happening.

Firstly do you think bates would sell to someone who has no money?
Secondly if they have no moneybhow will they pass the football league fit and proper test.
Thirdly you all or get they are an investment so it will be a investor or a group of investors who will be buying leeds through gfh.
Fourthly there dealing with bates so he will have dodgy accounts all over the place which will take months to sort out plus sorting out ppl who own eland road and thorpevarch and then leeds council.

It will happen as stated all over and gfh will have a lot of bridges to build with the fans but they will.

So stop moaning and support the team and give the new owners a chance .

Believable10 Unbelievable8

People have a right to moan, it's gone on way to long! If you are happy then that's fine but most fans are not!

Agree6 Disagree1

Well said poster, i've never stopped believing , leeds thru and thru for 46 years, we will be back very soon, starting with a win at millwall MOT

Agree2 Disagree4

I would say most ppl are ok about the take over only ppl like you moaning on. I'm sure if tomorrow we got bought out by a multi trillion wire you would still be moaning about it.

Agree1 Disagree5

Ofcourse nobody would moan if we were bought by a multi trillionare, but the simple fact is, it is not happening 2morow it's taking half a bloody year and still going! If your fine with how long it's taking with our team slipping down the table then more fool you. I am not happy having to wait this long for someone to buy our football club with no good media info into their finances!
