Apart from zigic ain't useless he's a quality player

Believe me he is useless that's why birmingham want rid of him very lazy striker

Hes a 6, 7 tank. better team he would score more goals but the way brum play its hard 4 him as there is no teamplay just greed

The new season is getting closer and I am beginning to get a little excited. I have optimism for the first time in a few years. Booked my tickets for the Brighton game today for me and my 10 year old son. We have to travel 220 miles for the game but think it is worth it

Good for you mate! getting mine 2morra reckon it will be chelsea style atmos at brighton so will b well worth it

finally beckford has signed for Bolton perhaps we can move on now, without people keeping wondering when he's coming back

League 1 player at best he will flop with bolton like he did with leicester

McD missed out on 1 of his marque signings, just gradel to go at now. FACT!

We couldn't agree a loan deal with Leicester, so Jermaine signed for Bolton to enable Leeds to loan him from them. ! Give it a month - at most!

Beckford doesn't fit brians game plan, young and hungry. Not way past his best, lazy and greedy. couldn't be more grateful for what he did for leeds in the past, but time to move on

We need 3 more additions to make the squad one to be feared.
Preferably; ALF, Mackay-Stevens and Mills/Gorks.
I believe we'll get 2 out of the three or players of a similar style.
Anything else is a bonus.

Mills and gorkks r both terribly slow and none of them would improve us as a team, i'd like wabara, emnes and adomah

Ed, what are the actual chances of us signing Gary Mackay-Stevens, in your opinion? He's not exactly a wantaway from Dundee, nor is there that much press about it? Cheers.

I know it is early days and only a couple of friendlies in but yet again when coming up against better opposition we fail to convert the chances that we have been creating, this has an all too familiar feel, as no doubt some of you will remember last season when we were the better side, had the majority of the chances only to lose or draw because we could not convert. My point is we still miss an out and out goalscorer, who will bag us 20+ a season, with the greatest respect to Dom Poleon do we really want to gamble on him being our 20+ a season goalscorer? It would be a lot of pressure on a young lads shoulders and if it doesn't come off we will be where we were last season, I'm not convinced Matt Smith or Noel Hunt are the solution but they both bring something different about them to our squad so I can understand the signing of them both, Ross McCormack COULD be the solution but its a little worrying he hasn't found 20+ since the 08/09 season for a Cardiff side with plenty of supply.

People on here moan because someone mentions the name 'Beckford' but in all honesty you can't deny he was the 20+ or in 2 seasons a 30+ goals a season striker, once he left Becchio became a consistant goalscorer, albeit he didn't hit the heights Beckford did in terms of goals but he regularly backed 15+ a season, back then we also had Snodgrass who scored his fair share, something again we are missing, a goalscoring midfielder.

This is not a negative post just some food for thought, personally I don't see where our goals are going to come from, I am 100% being BMD and the team but I that doesn't mean I don't feel we are short in certain areas, I guess if it was down to myself I'd be targeting a goalscorer, an experienced dependable centre back and a goal scoring or flairy midfielder, but I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Bring on Brighton first game of the season, we can't afford to lose, I can't afford to lose.

Nothing wrong with being concerned or voicing yer opinion so hope you don't get shot down in flames for it. I think once we settle into the new system we'll be ok. I hope at what we end up with a few fellas reaching double figures so we don't have to rely on 1 fella

Totally agree! My three main targets at thw beginning of tgw summer would have been a commanding centre half to make captain a pacey left winger and a goalscorer plus a squad right back and maybe a big lump up front as an option. Bmd has gone a different way either by choice or through lack of funds and gets my total support. I still get the feeling that bmds have to do it on his own superfan haigh only here for publicity (publicity Dave)

I think McCormack will be played as our scoring midfielder mate other than that you are right

Reply 7, this was not another "I want Beckford back" post I was just pointing out we haven't replaced him, Becchio or Snodgrass since they have left, which means we are pretty average in the goal scoring charts.
