Use our rumours form to send us leeds transfer rumours.

Don't know what anyone else thinks but Ross being made club captain tells me Austin is probably leaving, probably to the Canaries knowing our luck?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Leeds supporter for over 40 years never been more disappointed than I am at present, sorry but I cannot see an end to our current plight. The signings being talked about a just not good enough for Leeds Utd we should have more ambition than the speculation the suggests. We should be up there with the best in the premier league, no excuses.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hope so, green is a much better player.

Austin quit as captain

Agree0 Disagree0

"Green is a better player" Really? . When he has a bad one there is no one who can compare with awfulness to Green. Get off Rudis back . think we've learnt that he isn't a week in, week out player. So use him to suit.

I really hope that all the rumours regarding strikers are wrong otherwise we're in big trouble
Leon Clarke, Leigh griffiths, Leroy lita, luke Moore
Do me a favour, these are all bench Warmers at best and we don't need anymore of those

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Leigh Griffiths has 15 in 20 games for wolves this season

lets face the facts, d.h. has lost the plot, he hasn't got the backing from the investors he claims.
he is scampering round looking for financial backing. he's skint he's made silly claims to andy flowers to get him on board and it's backfired on him, flowers is well pissed off.
he can't complete because he is financially embarrassed. he has his own money but not enough.
can you see the resemblance to the g.f.h. debacle, this takeover is going down the pan as we read. come clean haigh and tell the truth, let the other takeover group who you blocked and now are trying to get in your group move in and complete before its too late for the jan. transfer market
you can rubbish all you like but you know what i say is the truth.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

You seem to know a lot about what is going on within the Club! To know what you claim you must work for the Club or know someone who does. Alternatively this is just your opinion? I thought we has established that saying this is the truth doesn't make it the truth!

Agree0 Disagree0

What is going on in our club is unbelievable, there is no other team out there who is so badly dictated by their loudmouth board of directors. When have you heard the Leicester chairman talking rubbish, the middlesborough, brighton chairmans etc etc. these people are egotistical persons. Why are they more interested in publicity then getting the club where it belongs?

This is not just opinion pal i can guarantee you that, watch this space.

Well Pearson is talking S***e. You think their going to make Europe lol. They'll be lucky to not get relegated!

MCD = truth
Pearson = fantasy

You'd be complaining if mcD said this ad you'd be on about our weak team. Leicester are bottom PL at best!

Stop a**e licking and be Leeds!

Did you all hear about the interviews Nigel Pearson and BMd gave previewing tomorrow's game? BMd was asked what's your ambitions for Leeds? BMd said it was his ambition for Leeds United to win a league game. The interviewer asked Pearson the same question. He said win the championship with no further defeats or goals conceded, take Premiership by storm next season, break into the top 4, pick up a cup and get into Europe. Interviewer remarked "that's a bit steep don't you think, Nigel?" to which Pearson responded "well Brian started it!"

Believable0 Unbelievable0

We're due a win and Leicester due a lost mc cromack. Captain get two tomorrow

What takes longer? Billy Paynter to find the net or Haigh obtaining takeover approval? Answer. It's about the same. So we in big trouble.

shaun Harvey is CEO of the football league does anyone think he could be dragging the takeover out . after what offcom said about him after the levi case why do the football league think he is a fit and proper person?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

17 Jan 2014 19:46:08
Instead of looking for new strikers, how about spending the transfer money on the best treatment available for Davide Somma, then get him match fit asap. Would be great. (Sorry I am aware this is a pipe dream, but would be great.)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

He must be fit by now. One year deal maybe but I love the guy and I've conceded that's its over for him here, wld love to be wrong

said it before . this is the worst time of the season for leeds and especially bmd, it's no surprise with the takeover hovering painfully over the club that players at the club from the last managerial outing are less than committed as have been slated from pillar to post mercilessly for ages . they are waiting to go , unfortunately bmd has to play players some who know they are going . that's all it takes unless you have 11committed players it will show in the team performance as it has so painfully. new players need to be bought into a good solid committed team . they havn, t been so I'm finding it hard to push to much blame on them. bmd is in no mans land right now trying to keep a fragile dressing room together . so FFS pull your fingers out directors and such like and let's get this show on the road before we implode.!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Makes total sense. Right on the nail here. Very likely the correct reason for loss of form. When we were going well we weren't really all that convincing so wouldn't take much to change the whole balance of the team. So get the finger out and do this deal. rubbish or get off the pot,,,

Leroy Lita anyone?

Not for me thanks.

Watched him loan at Brighton, shocking! Mainly unused sub. We can do better than this, no?

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Jan 2014 19:33:56
Not better than what we already have.

Agree0 Disagree0

As supporters and a team you're right, far better, but as owners and directors, can we? Do we have the pull we like to think we have, used to have?
Lita, Moore, Becchio and the likes are not the future, this season as with many others is gone but we have to look forward. We have a development squad that has ability and with the right choices under BMD it will go far, but at the moment we seem hell bent on employing any old name that fits the bill. When will it stop? Soon I hope.the name of Leeds United will haunt the opposition once again! MOT

Agree0 Disagree0

He would be worse than varney, hunt, morison, paynter, showunmi and pretty much any other striker who has been on our books. Brighton fans disliked him, he was slow, lethargic and just useless for them.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes but did you see him on loan at wednesday last season I for one would take lita least he has pace to get in behind defences

Agree0 Disagree0

His goalscoringrecord record is poor, 7 goals in 22 games + he would have high wages + why is it he can't hold down a place at any club? Why should we want a journeyman

Leeds United is like a record repeating itself over & over, the only difference is that the players names have changed. I am fed up of false dawns, new players, new managers, new owners, new investors etc etc. The squad is poor, the manager talks a good game ( as did Blackwell, wise, McCallister, Grayson, Warnock ) but really I feel he will disappoint. We have no midfield, no leader, a fragile back four and a massive squad of 'crap in depth'. As for the fans WE ARE AMAZING - we need a team with passion, energy, commitment to match our support. Surely someone will take a chance on Leeds United we have the potential to compete at the top with big crowds and a vibrant city. As usual its Friday and time for optimism though I fear the worst tomorrow. Stickey

Have a few beers and sleep through Saturday - have sweet dreams and it will all be ok! That's how I am dealing with it!

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm normally optimistic before any match we play, but I must say I feel a bit nervous of what our fragile defence could concede, Leceister have already scored 46 league goals this season and Old people's homes have a better record of keeping clean sheets than us.

17 Jan 2014 19:30:17
I am looking forward to tomorrow as much as I do every game. It is a chance to put things right. The form of both teams is history and it is 90 minutes where the team who wants it most will win. I have every confidence it will be us and I hope Hunt starts because I still think he will come good when fully fit.

Guys, we are absolutely screwed tomorrow lol.

Only a miracle an save us now; Leicester 20 odd points ahead of us.

Just hope we don't embarrass ourselves on tv again for all too see!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Hey guys, anyone who's followed Leeds for any length of time knows that tomorrow is the kind of game we'll win. Get battered by two teams who are garbage, then beat top of the league. It's how we always do things. (Hope this is not just wishful thinking)

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree

I think if we get beaten or battered tomorrow, if the team give less than 100% and are anywhere near as bad as they have been for the last 2 games then this job is beyond BMD already and he needs to resign, saying that, I sincerely hope the players turn it round and play with passion and BMD gets his tactics right!

{Ed013's Note - Where have I heard that before ;-)

Another transfer window and more disappointment. Jimmy kebe and cameron Stewart are good signings if they come good but we need 3-4 more signings. David haigh has said there's money available so Why aren't we ever ambitious enough. Look at other clubs that are getting players that we should be in for. Chalobah to boro, Maynard to Wigan, wells to uddersfield, joe lolley (gamble) udders, Simon Dawkins to derby 50k, Ashley Barnes to burnley. I know majority are strikers but that's what we need badly. Hope I'm proved wrong but can't see us getting anyone quality. Jim_lufc

I made this point about 5 months ago, every interview he talks about his time at reading. We did this, we did that. Well your not at reading, your at a much bigger club so forget about the past and concentrate on what your doing now. I'm behind him but being sick of this for a long time. Jim_lufc

Believable0 Unbelievable0

This was meant to be a reply to the post about McDermotts interview with yep and him talking about reding all the time (2 posts down), not a post by itself

{Ed013's Note - The post came through on its own, therefore it was either submitted as a single post or there was an error when using the reply button}

Jim you are bang right, this job is way to big for BMD.as a 23 yrs season tkt holder I demand more than just excuses, I have to try and justify my season tkt and my sons to my wife who sees us both p****d off after most games, on occasions I see a glimmer off hope, leeds supporters come from far and wide to see the whites and spend money all day, if we can spend money why can't they?.All I want is to leave the ground with a smile on my face and to be proud of my team. THAT INCLUDES WIN LOSE OR DRAW.Big Mark.

Agree0 Disagree0

To say where a much bigger club than reading is a bit far don't you think they have been in the prem twice since we was last there stop living in the past we are a championship club sooner you realise that the better

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree, but what he is trying to say is that by him coming in we wasn't going to start to win every game etc, he is stating the obvious and backing it up with a good track record.

It will take time, LUFC will get promotion, but no chance this year, even with the best signings in the game, we just aren't strong enough this time round.

BM will have even more funds for next season, that is the season we must all work towards, this season died about 1 month ago.

Agree0 Disagree0

To the poster above mine, I never once mentioned the prem ship, my discussion is that I want to see football played not football cricket, i'm quite happy to potter about in the top 10 of this league as long as I can watch a competitive game.As far as dreading go, they may have been there but they fell back down(TWICE)so did there 17000 CROWD.It does not make you a big club once your in the prem your home and away support makes you a big club.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry Ed, meant to sign off as Big Mark on my rant about big club support.Big Mark.

Agree0 Disagree0

No it doesn't winning trophies and leagues does nobody cares about home and away crowds anymore you keep telling yourself that it does but it doesn't what have we done in the last 10 years?

we now have 3 home games and need we think a def 7 points.
now without tempting fate, what if we just get between 1 and 3 points?.
after all leicester and ipswich will be tough games.
what do people think should happen then?
I don't think there's much choice but to wait till end of season, get rid of deadwood, get in better players and give bmd everychance i'd expect owners to say.
the disappointing thing is the football we play.
you could forgive bmd if we played good stuff and were decent to watch, but we are so boring.
tough decision for new owners if we fin in say 12 to 13th place and look horrible.
if I did have a say or choice and that happened I would actually let bmd go and get back grayson.
go on slag me off but we played decent stuff, he loved the club and he had to put up with loads with rubbish which he wouldn't have to now.
he would jump at the chance.
anyway let's hope for at least 7 points and better performances and a mighty push. shrew leeds

Believable0 Unbelievable0

You are missing the fact that half of our team are a shower of s**t! As you old saying goes you can't polish a turd. I'll take 12th or 13th this season and I think we will push on next. You state when he gets rid of his deadwood we will be better, we will. The reason the football is so unattractive is because we don't have players with flair. We can't expect mediocre players to be able to play like Brazil. I agree with you that we give Brian the benefit of the doubt this season and then see where we are this time next year. He will have his team then and there can be no excuses. He is building a team at the moment and I pray to good it comes good, but as I say if this time next year we are still struggling, then call for his head.

Mcd interview in yorkshire evening post today! All he talks about is reading get a grip we are leeds united not reading time for him to go!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

That is probably because that is the only club he has been at and the only times he can draw on past experience, he has to bring his ideas in from somewhere. ALso he did get them up so he obvs did something right, think you need to chill ot a bit PAL

We have major trouble keeping the ball and passing so why oh why has McDermott told diouf our best player last season on the ball that he can leave stick him behind main striker and he would feed McCormack all day absolute madness perfect foil for our new skipper and we are trying to buy carp to replace him we don't have enough money to buy a player of same talents really bad managing I know he is slightly unfit but come on the other players are supposed to be fit and look at there performances recently diouf could help us up no doubt. Passing passion possession diouf mot

Believable0 Unbelievable0

DIOUFF hasn't been interested all season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Diouf does not want to play for us any more, he's hardly been anywhere near Leeds this season, and although he has had some very good reasons for this, they do not account for half a season away. Get him off the wage bill.
