People need to put the pieces together, position in table, now getting bought out again. Linked with max gradel puplically.we are going up! Haha (hopefully) no really we are doing really well this year. Finally seems asthough we have stability and cash . I do wonder if we go up will we come straight back down. Although I do think many players will come to leeds due to our history and most of all fans. Barmyarmy! let's get 3 great sighnings and push for promotion. Ls14 white

I love Becchio and Mad Max as much as everyone else but I think if its a striker we're after than Adam Le Fondre is the man. A decent back-up keeper and maybe a back-up defender too but to be fair we're playing well so wouldn't want to get players in just for the sake of it. MOT

Don't see why people are questioning the signing of Gradel. Don't think it should be looked at as resigning an old player, but as signing an exciting winger capable of getting goals.
My only wish would be that the system isn't tinkered with too much after the success of the 532.

I would suggest that we go back in for Gary Mackay Steven. He would cost 1/2 Max fee and would accept much lower wages, leave enough funds for another striker/GK

Jan In - GMS
becchio loan/option to buy
George Long (backup for kenny and long term 1st choice)ehere like Bury, always seem to help Leeds players d

out- Varney, Drury
Cairns, Parkin, Dawson, Loan ( somwevelop I recall)

To be honest, don't want to live in the past; Gradel did a good job and then moved on, I don't want to see him back any more than Beccio or Beckford, let's look to the future and leave these people behind us :o/

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I don't care if they have played for us before or not. All that matters is if they can do a job for us in the here and now. If Max is fit and in form, he's very welcome.

Never has there been a time (For ages that is ) where the feel gud factor has been so high going in to a game against the worst team in league . We really need to put this boggy side to the sword once and for all making sure we match their commitment from the 1st minute and then take them to the cleaners please. Barnsley white

Haven't seen anything from ausman lately! Does he keep his head down while ashes are on? His post are usually a good talking point.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Cannot agree more!. the atmosphere inside and outside the ground prior to the Muddlesboro game was fantastic it was so much improved compared to the previous game I attended which I am embarrassed to say was the Spurs Cup game which itself was well supported and provided a good atmosphere

I suppose I'm going to get slated by other fans for saying that I don't think that resigning Max is a good idea. I just don't think he's good enough for the prem. He's not exactly lighting up the french. Sure he was a great lg 1 player, but I don't think he really kicked on. We need to add 1 or 2 players of quality that are good enough should we go up, otherwise we'll be paying players to train again.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Agree!

Agree0 Disagree0

The guy netted 18 in his first and only championship seasom! he's still young and maturing well and he's not stuck to 1 position, he can play cf or attacking mid!

Agree0 Disagree0

Harsh, he has been injured for most of his time in France. Scored recently on his comback trail. You need alternative tactics, formations etc for different teams and situations. A genuine wide player is what we need. They are rare.
Even if its just for pace coming off the bench. I think he will add value to this team, which is better than the team he left. i'm not an advocate of players returning to former clubs but he left on a high and most fans warm to him and he will give us a lift. MOT keep the faith in MaccyD

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree that we should not get Gradel back, he was great for us when here, but then he went crying to the manager saying he wanted to leave and to rub salt in to the wound he did it the day before the season starts, so I do not want him back, there must be other plays out there for what he would cost?
There has been reports of Becchio coming back also but again I do not want this, if he wants to leave then we do not want him back. Again there must be other strikers out there with great potential instead of Becchio and I feel that Smith is starting to find his feet now and given a continued run I feel he could be the player to give us the 15-20 goals we need to compliment McCormack.

Agree0 Disagree0

How do we know that Gradel wanted to leave?was this the story given to the press?, I saw his face the last time he played for Leeds, he was really upset.According to Simon Grayson, the only player who actually wanted to leave Leeds was Delph, and I think it is well known that Howson didn't want to go.

Agree0 Disagree0

2nd poster here. Max didn't leave before the season started. He left after the first game against West Ham. He was poor. Missed two chances and when he missed the penalty he went away laughing. I was there and it didn't seem right. He was ok in league 1 but lost his cool against Bristol and not sure if he could step up,

Agree0 Disagree0

Gradel would find the championship easy, the only reason why he didn't do as well as he could have was because of his injury from last season. There obviously was a reason for why liverpool, Shakter domnesk, Sunderland, hull and cardiff all tried to sign him during his tenure at st etienne.
He's fast, young, prolific and is definitely premier league quality. I would be suprised if we are not battling with other premier league clubs for his signature

All this talk about max gradel coming I don't think there is room for him. At the moment we are playing with just wing backs for our width. We've been in good form with the formation the saying if it isn't broke don't fix it comes to mind. I think we need a striker that's proven in this league possibly with some premier league experience, another CB and possibly a young up and coming keeper so we have back up for Kenny

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I agree, our team are grinding out results at the moment, even if we are not on top form, the team are now all getting to know each other, need striker cover and goalkeeper cover, don't want to upset the apple cart! MOT!

Gradel? Not 100% sure he is what we need at the moment. Where would he play? Just think we need another striker in the Blackstock mould. Big, strong, mobile and an eye for goal. 15 goals a season kinda geezer with plenty of assists. Only problem is who. Conor Wickham maybe? **** it let's get another striker and bring Max back as well! MOT.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Err excuse me. But isn't max a 15 goal a season geezer? And plenty of assists too! But I do agree another out and out striker would be good too.

I think we are being linked with wingers either because of lazy journalism or that because we can now afford to buy top quality, fast and promising wingers mcdermott now will because that will only help smith to score more and for mccormack to continue with his great form. Both strikers are playing great football so I don't think we should spend too much on a striker. I think we just need a player who will keep mccormack and smith on their toes.
Becchio
Makail smith
Le fondre would all be good but not expensive strikers

Agree0 Disagree0

Becchio can't stand on his own toes mate
