Howson should be signing and im not sure why hes stalling, some people think they get to big for the club when usually the club gets too big for them. Stop messing about and get it signed, £11k a week and hes having to think about it? Local lad too for the team he supports, makes me sick. Much better footballers on a lot less and in better form. He cant even fit into our system at moment, in my opinion i would give him a deadline to sign, if he dont sign then go mess up your career and beg for your leeds shirt back in a few years, like that greedy ex wealdstone striker beckford. Just my opinion. Vinny.

Believable3 Unbelievable2

Howson has a right to sort his future for himself and his family. Calm down

Agree5 Disagree3

Totally agree with original poster. Why is greed suddenly being accepted as the "done thing" nowadays? He's not good enough for the Premiership anyway, he gives the ball away far too often.

Agree3 Disagree2

I know mate, cant he get by on £15k a week? I work 45 hours for £300 a week. If you love the club and youre captain what more do you want. Everton will have him, theyll take anyone.

Agree1 Disagree0

Too right! He can go to Everton for a season, do bugger all apart from miss loads of sitters and then sign for a CCC club and start games on the bench! Sounds familiar :)

Agree3 Disagree0

How can he be greedy if he wants whats best for his family hasnt his lass just given birth? give the guy a break

Agree1 Disagree1

What the hell has his personal life got to do with how much he is paid? FFS I've got 3 kids and I didn't get a pay rise every time one of them was born! Can't the poor lad survive on £500K a year? Poor lamb.

if we are lucky we can become frist in the table if
we keep haveing wins

Believable4 Unbelievable1

Obvious?

Agree3 Disagree1

Big "if" though

Agree2 Disagree1

If we win every game from now on in we are still not guranteed to win the league, that only happens if you win EVERY game from the start......

Agree1 Disagree1

If we lose evert game from now we might get relegated

Agree3 Disagree1

Yeah but West Ham will drop at least the 10 or so points between us

Agree2 Disagree0

4 points and we have a game in hand

I'm not a "sack Grayson" or "Bates out" fan in fact I'm quite positive about this season, but this is targeted to everyone. On wednesday, don't expect a clean sheet, Coventry are like us they are much stronger in attack than defense. That jucteviz (whatever his name is) is such a dangerous finisher, I saw him on the football league show with a quality header. We'll win it I think, but don't slag off grayson if we don't get a clean sheet. {Ed007's Note - A win is a win. I doubt many fans worry about clean sheets and goal difference at this point of the season. Get 3 points on the board and win 15-12.}

Believable6 Unbelievable1

Bates sack but dont no

Agree1 Disagree1

This is stupid, you knock Leeds because we lose or draw, after two good wins with clean sheets you now capitulate and say dont expect another win?

What sort of supporter are you that makes excuses BEFORE we even play the game??

GET the faith then keep it, lets disect the game AFTER we win draw or lose it??

This is even worse than the whingers who moan AFTER we lose?????

Agree1 Disagree2

Read the post before you critisise you person he said that he reckons Leeds will win, but to not blame SG if we don't get a clean sheet. It's fair enough tbh

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree mate, our defense won't keep a perfect record, knowing the negative fans they'll be all over Simon. But if he gets us the win then that's got enough for the true fans like us.

Agree0 Disagree1

I thought we played tuesday? Ive booked Tuesday off to go so is the game now wednsday?

MOT

Agree0 Disagree0

Mate it's Wednesday

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry mate yeah you're right it's tuesday that ridiculous that's 3 days since last playing

Agree0 Disagree0

4 days, and anyway, it's pretty normal to play on a Sat afternoon and a Tuesday night. In fact it happens more weeks than not.

It wasn't just the senior Leeds team who had a good weekend. I was watching football focus to see how the other games were going on and where it would leave us when the score came in for the Leeds youth against Sheff Utd youth. Think the score was 5-1 to Leeds (it was something like that - maybe ed knows can't find it anywhere on web).
Anyway the youths were destroying a local rival whilst the seniors were doing the same, so it's all looking rosy at the moment.
3 things though:
1. We must sign Keogh
2. We must tie up Howson's contract (he's the captain & whether u like him or not we must be seen to be able to keep him) also losing him could have a major impact on team moral
3. We need to bring in Sammy Clingan in Jan. We have the funds from Max's sale & to be fair to Brown am not sure he can cut it any more to b honest.

Believable5 Unbelievable0

Nailed it.

Agree0 Disagree0

The teams good as it is, clingan wont really replace any of the midfield if they carry on like theyre doing at the moment

Agree0 Disagree1

Agree but we don't need Cllingan we have Mika whos our back up midfielder.

Agree2 Disagree1

We are doing okay without Clingan and he's obviously in no rush to join us.

As for Howson, he has the one choice, and if he doesn't want to sign under the same terms as the rest of the team, then he doesn't belong here? We are a TEAM not a bunch of individuals?

Remember Schmeikel thought he was bigger than the team and what is he doing right now, and Johnson, and Beckford?

We are going places, get your contract signed, play for the team, get promoted, and then renogiate the deal if you think it fit, we'd all be behind EVERY Leeds player getting better wages if they get us promoted??
Not rocket science??

Agree1 Disagree0

Johnson has been one of Norwich's stand out players so far this season.

its abit quiet on here, a couple of good results and all the doubters go into hybernation. I hope we can keep it up so i dont have to listen anymore bulls*@t about how Howsons not good enough, how we need 10 new defenders & how the likes of Pugh are crap signings!

Believable4 Unbelievable2

On this seasons performance Howson is not good enough take the weight of captaincy of he,s shoulders and we may get back the Howson we had last season. The full on attacking midfielder we know and not the ball dodging player we have right now. If Grayson is not prepared to do that then sell him and put Mika Vayrynen in he,s plays who in my opinion is a much better player and will show it this season if he,s given the chance

Agree2 Disagree1

He was practically captain last season as Naylor hardly played so how can you say that? LOL

Agree0 Disagree0

Unfortunately Howson is more noticeable in a 4-5-1 as we played last season. The team however are playing well 4-4-2

This site makes me laugh. A couple of points, i watched the bbc rubbish waiting for a massive revelation only to find out nothing except that stupid rules exist in business and the fa that shouldn't and lead to loopholes that can be exploited. Morally awful but not bates or anyone else's fault they exist and can use them. The other thing i want to say is wondering if people on here would actually like to see howson sign a new contract? Seems to me that half don't think he's any good anyway and the others would rather see him leave so they can have another rant about the perceived lack of investment in the club! Talk about not being able to please anybody!

Believable1 Unbelievable1

He was garbage on friday

Agree2 Disagree2

Howson had a good game on friday so which game were you watching?

Agree1 Disagree1

Howson is his own man, if he wants to be a part of Leeds, he will sign on similar terms to the other players, if he thinks he deserves more then he will have to prove himself elsewhere and earn it.

Leeds are a team, not a bunch of individuals who can carve out there own contracts?

Leeds or not, it's up to the individuals to want to be a part of it and prove they are worth more, rather than look elsewhere and desert the ship for a few quid more and end up where Beckford and Schmeikel have already fallen foul.....

So the football league show say how great the palace goals were but nothing to say about McCormack's. F*** you BBC!!

Believable4 Unbelievable1

Well the bbc probably hate leeds now after bates refusing them to have reporters and stuf at leeds..

Agree2 Disagree0

Like I said, we owe the media nothing, and after over 40 years of supporting Leeds I have seen enough biased reporting, I don't buy newspapers, I don't watch television or listen to the radio, and if more of you did the same, they wouldn't exist. There is only one real media these days and we are on it, here...

Agree0 Disagree0

Media? Pah! They all hate Leeds but we don't care!

1972 (Yes I am that old!) we won a certain game & the London Editions of some "National" papers the following day was saying how lucky we were to overcome a much better class of football team.

The "same" reporters in the "same" papers (Northern editions) were saying how Leeds should have won by 2 or 3 - nil!

Papers cater to their market to sell their wares nowt else.

As they say ...... Don't let the facts get in the way of a good story
