Use our rumours form to send us leeds transfer rumours.

Wish the board would take a bit of a gamble and spend a few bob. I don't mean go mad and put our club in jeopardy again but surely 4-5 million on transfers and wages would bring in a couple of good pros. Howard and the board did just that and the gamble paid off. Although admittedly he brought ina good few top players! A top class CB should be the priority as Reading proved a few years back if you keep lots of clean sheets you can make it even without scoring rubbish loads of goals. I really believe we are only 2 top players short (barring loads injuries) of a promotion season. Home form is crucial and if we keep getting big crowds the points will keep coming at home I believe. God I love being LEEDS. MOT

The wage bill is already near £15m they need to reduce to wage bill to be able to spend more and sustain the club once players start to go out we will see them come in, the problem is the players we want out aren't wanted by many other clubs

Agree0 Disagree0

I think it's fair enough that we have to reduce the wage bill. We have too many players, but no one's willing to buy. Ross doesn't count because we need him.

Agree0 Disagree0

How many coming to game today? I know Wednesday going to bring less than a thousand

Still feel we need a right winger, an out and out goal scorer and a centre back, anyone know of who were supposed to be tracking at the moment?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Taylor
Mills
Moore

Would work nicely

how many tickets are sold for Saturday and are Wednesday bringing many

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Bmd is selling tickets so, er, not many.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wednesday sold less than a thousand, can't blame them at 36 quid & on tv.

Agree0 Disagree0

Last I heard the Wendys have only sold a thousand of thier allocation. If correct shocking support.

Agree0 Disagree0

Great excuse is that its on tv so that means I don't after go what a joke are fan base has turned into

BMcD is trying to get players in on the cheap and unearth some gems. I don't know if anyone remembers a 14 year old player at the start of Championship Manager 2003/4- went by the name of JR? Anyway, he is just turned 24 now and is absolutely rapid. He is Norweigen and gained a lot of caps up until U19 level. Generally at youth level he bagged a lot of goals. On Champ Man he was brilliant, regularly scoring 50 a season. In real life he got a bad foot injury aged 18. Since then he has played at various levels in Norway, Poland, Australia and Thailand. He is now back in Norway and according to sources BMcD likes what he sees. So rapid and gets goals. Could this be a champ manager player who becomes a Leeds legend?

as much as i'm one of the worst for getting cheesed off with lack of activity we need to be all be understanding that we just haven't got funds to compete with other clubs.
i mean boro trying to buy one of our best players?
just shows how poor we are and how gfh cannot get us over the promotion line yet.
yes we will compete in every game but couple of injuries and its tough.
whos going to score 20 goals plus?
sure as hell no one whos there at the min.
its ok people putting all these names on here that we are supposedly interested in.but its like window shopping. the only way we will go up is for ross to stay, for gfh to find a few million to get winger, striker and cb, to get rid of say norris, drury and pugh to help
. full stop.we can not go up as we are.my worry is when we have a couple of dodgy results people will give up and we are back to where we started.please gfh don't let this happen again.the feel good factor is here.the mighty leeds need to be mighty again.speculate to accumalate.few mill, not millions.
lets not have excuses if we don't go up, let's give bmd what he requires within reason.
shrew leeds

Middlesborough same as wolves. Brainless owners. Useless manager
We have neither
As the stranglers once said
Get a grip

Agree0 Disagree0

Boro have not got a Brainless Chairman, he is probably the best Chairman in the country, he saved them from liquidation and has funded them through good and bad times for years because he loves the club, not for an ego boost like the Oil billionairs .I wish we had him .

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Aug 2013 09:39:34
Wasn't it only 2 weeks ago that the Chairman stated that McDermott had been given the nod to bring in 2 more players, yet McDermott as recently as yesterday advises he is still working to a one out one in policy. #confused.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Think its to do with the number who are on wages its one off pay roll and one on

Agree0 Disagree0

GFH are willing to spend but are not willing to carry on paying deadwood like Norris and drury whilst adding to the squad . That in their eyes is counter productive. Improving a squad can only happen when the whole squad is quality and improving the financial structure of the club whilst trying to sign players can only happen if players leave. Brian should be a lot more ruthless like dare I say it warnock

Got to laugh at the transfer talk. McDermott publicly denies every rumour thrown at him but it's blindingly obvious that he's trying to inflate the prices of some of our players. Rossco will go for £2m I reckon and Diouf will go for a lot less. Whoever's valuation is met first, they'll be gone.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

All this talk seems very familiar and very much like the last regime! One in one out; sell before you buy; waiting for the right player to become available etc etc. If there is no money then at least admit it! Why sell Diouf when you will end up with no creativity at all-last season he was probably our best player till he stupidly got himself sent off. Drury is another decent player we should be keeping. If BmD can get each player to play to his true potential then I think we could get a top 6 place without further purchases.

Mcd has t said diouf or mccor aren't for sale. He said nobody is being forced out. All players have a price. To me diouf 750k. Mccor 1.7. Byram 6m.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

2-2.5 for ross other than that not bad shout really

Agree0 Disagree0

We would be lucky to get any fee for Diouf. Other two you got more or less right.

GFH have no money, and are running the club on a shoe string budget, we haven't set the world a lite with our signings have we? People need to wake up and smell the coffee, these people are not good for the club!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

They are not good for the club? what have they done wrong? I can't thing of a single fault with GFH they have completely abolished the bates regime and they have changed leeds united for the better, they may not have much money but reading weren't exactly billionaires when they got promoted were they and the fact they had the ambition to spend over £1m on Murphy shows they are willing to spend where they see fit. there's no need to doubt GFH at all for a company with no football experience David Haigh and Salem Patel have been working wonders at the club the simple fact the company itself doesn't have money to throw around does not mean they are bad for the club! Fickle fans everwhere!

Agree0 Disagree0

Why don't you just retire gracefully Mr Bates?

Agree0 Disagree0

No my friend. People like you are no good for the club! GFH have lowered ticket prices, communicated with the fans, brought the supporters groups back on board, brought Radio Leeds back, bought our first £1m signing in 8 years, booted out Bates, Harvey & Williams.
It's not their fault that they've been left with a £15m wage bill. Nobody wants dross like Norris & Pugh but why would they move when Warnock & Bates put them on wages that they'll never get anywhere else.
My advice to you is stop moaning & buy a ticket!

Agree0 Disagree0

At statement like that deserves some points as to why. I for one believe that they are the first step towards a new leeds united. We had Bates and we can't expect to befixed over night. Patience needs to be instilled into our minds because they will make us a more profitable and attractive club for the larger investors

Stop moaning at least we got a few players in

Agree0 Disagree0

We keep talking about Warnocks dross what about Brians dross.

Agree0 Disagree0

Brian's dross? Matt Smith defo not dross Murphey? Dross no way and Hunt will turn out to be a good player for leeds he will turn out a fans favourite mark my words by the way u talk dross in fact you talk sh?t

Agree0 Disagree0

"Warnock and bates players" as far as I was aware and according to a statement last year ghf said they funded the pearce deal. so I assume they overlooked all the transfer activity? so as far as I can see this is their mess

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh and big woop 1m on a player what's 1m for a player nowadays surely the becchio money would have easily covered that and the wages. and what about all those players we let go at the end of last season, if smith murphy and noel hunts wages account for all of that sumone need their heads shaking

Agree0 Disagree0

What dross has mcdermott signed then 2 games in and fans are already saying brians signings are crap instead of slagging of the manager why not get to a game once in a while

I for one would not accept just a cash deal for Ross McCormack; too many times have we seen teams forced to pay way over the odds for a player when that team knows the other team have come into some money from a sale (Liverpool the prime example when £35mil was spent for Carroll's signature). A deal involving Marvin Emnes may be one Brian would have to consider amid rumours of a fallout at Boro, as he can play both as a striker and in the much needed winger role. Being totally honest I don't know much about Marvin Emnes besides the fact the guy has an eye for goal and bags of pace, but them two traits alone are significant, and apparently lacking at Leeds as we speak.
Brian is apparently still working on a 1 in 1 out system, and has a player lined up to come in, but if our scrap can't be shipped then it's about as useful as (in Dodgeball's words). a c*ck flavoured lolly pop. Both a winger and a Centre Back are top of Brian's list.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Mccormack is one of our only creative players Emnes would offer nothing more than pace he's not exactly prolific and I for one would rather have mccormack whose service served us well last season (last season he was joint second in assists, more than zaha).

Agree0 Disagree0

I think emness is a lot better than ross

Agree0 Disagree0

U might like Ross better if u watch him play in real life. Emnes is better on FIFA but obviously not in real life. But on FIFA he is quicker an stronger!

Brian just been on a local radio station, E H Diouf going nowhere, T Rowe=not a chance,
Player he's trying to sign is young prob be the lad form that team we love to hate. Also said u play with 2 good wingers or none at all= don't expect any wingers to arrive. Never said it but expect Norris Pugh to be on way if any one will offer them a contract. Likes how we are hard to beat but not playing the way he wants at moment And Ross offers rejected. I don't know why but I think Ross will be sold if anyone offers £2 million
