Tend to agree bob. For me, Brown should be one of our 2 pit bulls in midfield with Rudy as the other ball winner. These two's only job to win the ball & find a white shirt (ala Vinnie & Batts). Then I still think Murphey will come good with another quality midfielder along side him. Find the other quality midfielder to feed Ross & Jordan Rhodes & that would do it for me. Go get Rhodes please Massimo! MOT degsy

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I don't Jordan Rhodes will come to Leeds this year but I do think a premiership club will be in for him & the same will apply to Ross I think you will find West Ham or even Aston Villa will be back in for Ross

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree with what your saying there mate but Jordan Rhodes is on 38k a week and there giving him a rise aswell to save loosing him . Can't see mc paying that sort off cash out just yet . Mot . Wilko wilko.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why do so many fans believe Rhodes is a realistic signing? Blackburn want £8-£10m for him and not to mention his very high wages. He's not going to leave Blackburn for another Championship side, get real.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think the club could spend it's money more wisely than Rhodes. He's a decent Championship player, but over priced. As for the Brown and Austin in midfield. I'm afraid that pairing is very poor. I don't think Brown owes us anything, as when he has been called upon he has been committed, probably too old now. As for Austin, I'm afraid he is not good enough. He has energy, but tackling is poor, passing is poor and although he sometimes bangs in a worldy, the majority of his shots hit row Z

Agree0 Disagree0

Rhodes is under rated if anything. his goals record speaks for itself. a team like Arsenal or Spurs could do worse than have him as an option. Would be a no brainer for me.

Agree0 Disagree0

If Rhodes is worth 8-10million then Ross is worth the same or more. he's scored more goals, made more assists and is a creative team player not just a poacher

Agree0 Disagree0

Personally I think Rhodes has a very good record at this level and will step up to the prem . However his price tag and wage are far too high for any championship club.
Other strikers coming through which would be better value.

I'm a great believer in professional development, making best best of the staff that you have.
I also believe that placing all responsibility on one member of staff is outdated and ridiculous.
When managers come to a club they are all knowing benevolent dictators. a few bad results and they're clueless persons.
Let's develop what we have. Rudy and Aidy White would surely benefit from one to one coaching from experts in their positions. There are a lot of coaches out of work. Take them out of the first team and work with them for a short intensive period.
Rather than sack Brian, why not identify weaknesses and plan how to address them.

Why spend £8m on Rhodes & £38k a week - give McCormack another £10 a week for 4 year contract = £2m if he sees out the full 4 years - Get rid of Hunt £25k a week and take a punt on the Lad at Dundee (I think) who is scoring for fun - it may be the 20+ Extra goals we need and would make a profit on the whole deal

Agree0 Disagree0

Hunt's denied on social media that he's on nowhere near 25k - insists Cellino's confused him with someone else. Seems plausible to me.

ed13 I hope you will post this. just to let you know that I did a bit of detective work and last night I text the guy who jeff claims to be. he rang me back and we had a long conversation(he thought I was a journo at first). he is either a very good liar or as I now believe he is who he claims to be. I was probably more sceptical than anyone and did give him stick but he is a very nice guy so please stop the abuse as he doesn't have to share things with us. I also know his age and he isn't some young kid. he is a leeds fan like us all just with connections

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I think what has lost him most of his cred is the day before Massimo won his appeal he "claimed" to know we were done for and speak would be lost admin would com etc! He couldn't have been more wrong if he tried, and that was with his insider knowledge apparently. And regardless what he or anyone says he lost a lot that day. I know he will no doubt say his source was wrong but I think u will find many have lost faith just over that day. Me personally enjoy reading his posts but like most don't believe it till it happens.

Agree0 Disagree0

What I don't understand is why would anyone at the club trust someone who then goes onto sites and reveals all he is being trusted with. Anyone in the know does not go onto random sites and tell people. GFH may have been clueless but they were not that stupid to associate themselves with a blabber mouth. Same with Cellino he doesn't need people telling his secrets he does it himself

Agree0 Disagree0

Regarding that day he was told that the football league had delayed their decision until after our game, live on tv. like 99 per cent of people we, including massimo, believed this to be a sign that he had lost the appeal

Agree0 Disagree0

Everbody is entitled to their opinion, but Survivor claims to be in the know, I agee, he states something as fact when it clearly isn't causing a lot of upset, as long as he states its his own view I have no problem with him, just stop confusing fact and opinion

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed003's Note - need to register very soon mate.}

Jeremy
No one has said survivor isn't a nice man, he's got one or two things correct and A LOT of things wrong.
Do you believe he personally brought massimo to ER and he went out dining with his counterparts? He asked if anyone had ANY questions for massimo? Come on!
He was asked for pictures etc he never replied?
The day he got MC take over SO SO wrong his credibility dried up.
I've knocked him more than anyone but still read his posts (just take them with a pinch of salt now)

Agree0 Disagree0

No mate regarding that day he said he had been told his appeal had been turned down and it was admin for us I remember it clear as day as do plenty of others no doubt. Then there's the text he says he's been getting from haigh and the radio station too it just seems to far fetched for many! And I agree with the other poster why would anyone with any remote responsibility keep telling him stuff to them find it on here! The press have there "sources" but they pay for that info

Agree0 Disagree0

Just stop the BS Jeff is all I say. Do not believe for one minute he introduced Cellino to Leeds! Suppose they met on their yaughts in Monte Carlo!

Agree0 Disagree0

Who cares?

Anyone else heard the crazy rumour about davide astori joining? Seems a little far fetched as he's been linked with Roma and that team which plays in Salford. I always forget the name, oh well.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I typed in "davide Astori to leeds" and it came up with a website which was clto in contact with cellinio's son
It showed the conversation
The guy asked: investment for McDermott?
Edoardo : do you ibarbo, Astori, adryan from cagilari?
Guy : yeah why mate?
Edoardo: because I think we are going to bring them, cause they are very good players, Astori is going to play the world cup for Italy, ibarbo for columbia and adryan is 19 years old and is the new kaka
This is his exact words, I will post the conversation in all the image sections on this site on the left.

Jeremy Paxman and Mad Mick please talk some sense to some of these people who just don't get it.
Mad Mick I'm tired of asking which game do you want tickets for?
Your mob is cut off and you don't answer messages so what's up?
Beginning to lose faith in you.
Jeff

I notice Michael brown started last Saturday. What happened? Clean sheet and we won at last. Coincidence? I don't think so. He always gives 100% and plays for the shirt. Not like some I could mention. I know he is getting on a bit. But worth another one season contract I think. Any one else have thoughts on this?

It's been said numerous times. He always puts in a shift, somewhat over zealous at times but hey at lest he has a go!

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree. We look far far better when he is in the side. Allows Murphy to get further forward. Tonge as well.

Agree0 Disagree0

Brown always give 100% & in my opinion he is the best passer of the ball in the team & I know it is just my opinion but he would of been a good captain as he is always giving the rest of the players a kick up the backside and puts in a shift & when younger players see their captain doing this it should rub off on them

Teams who sell their best players for a quick buck show no ambition imo. We keep Ross if possible as he may not be PL class but he def is chpshp class. We need his type to gain promotion as 28 goals in this side is damned nearly a miracle imo. Build the squad around Ross, Murphy, Mowatt, Dawson, Pearce, Smith etc & add some pace & quality to make a very good 22-23 man squad to challenge for play offs next season. Would like to see a smattering of foriegn players with some flair too but need an decent young coach to help play a passing game but with options of direct football on the bench if needed. Roll on the transfer window & next season MOT

All this recent talk of getting rid 8/9 players in summer being tantamount to a dead wood clear out is baloney. Time will tell if it was just propaganda to keep fans at bay. Wake up guys these "players" were off anyway. They weren't going to be offered new deals. Their departure was automatic. That's not getting rid dead wood. Getting rid dead wood is selling players under contract to 2015 and beyond. Certainly not criticizing the club or Cellino it's probably the papers nothing better to write and their average journos.

So Michael Brown out of contract this summer, personally I would keep him on for another season, I think he has done well when called upon, although he does get OVER stuck in sometimes. We also get rid of some of the other players we don't want, probably the ones on loan at the minute and diouf, but unfortunately, white, norris and hunt we have until 2015, lees and wootton 2016, and pains me to write it, stewart to 2017. So there will be places to fill come summer time, question is do we have faith in McD to get the right players and take us forward, his track record for us isn't good (I didn't even mention kebe as he WILL be gone) I just fear sitting here at this stage next year with McD throwing out a new set of excuses for mid table failure and a squad of new less than average wage collectors on long term deals. In his defence though, he has been through a lot of cr** that managers shouldn t have to but that couldn t contribute to his failure during a game (tactics, non substitutions) What do you guys think? Give McD the chance he thinks he deserves or get better? MOT

I had a few hours to kill and was at the training ground on Tuesday. (No youths present think they had travelled to Sheffield for a match)
Stewart-Hunt were running rings round the rest of the sqaud, I'm not a fan of either but Stewart looked unbelievable, flying past 4 or 5 players and pin point crosses (maybe it's a confidence thing)

Agree0 Disagree0

Iagree with the above poster yeah Kebe and Sewart have been poor for this season but look at what Kebe was like under cd at Reading in our league he was a constant threat and that's why he was signed and Stewart has a lot of potential granted has not show it on the pitch yet but since we signed both of them the Club has beengoing through a bad patch and the whole team has not performed not just these 2 or 3 playes

Agree0 Disagree0

I think what you saw at training probably says more about the rest of our players than it does of Stewart. Plenty have ran rings round them this season. In saying that, he looks more lively than Kebe does!

Agree0 Disagree0

Mel sterland
I was thinking while watching I wonder is it our defenders that are so crap that's making Stewart look good lol who knows ;)

Agree0 Disagree0

Really hope he does come good though as would luv for us to have a quick, direct winger & he looks like he has that potential sometimes.
