that's a relief, mental illness is so cruel and needs to be so much better understood, good luck Clark

I work with adults with mental illness it can be a cruel illness that affects a lot of people. Sadly we all have the capacity to experience poor mental health just needs the trigger to set it off. More understanding from each of us towards people experiencing such issues would help, sometimes just listening to the person helps. Hope Clarke gets the support he needs, one of our own. MOT.

Abdolutely right Mezzer - mental health isn't just case of how you are feeling or experiencing the daily ups and downs like we all do - it's a totally different animal that people have no choice but to experience. We have barely scraped the Barrel when it comes to understanding mental health challenges but we are getting better. With a willingness to learn and understand we will all be better equipped to help and support people with mental health conditions in the future.

Problem is mental health does not have the resources to cope. It is still a bit of a taboo in the media and not enough information is given out like it is for Alzheimers and dementia so people tend to gloss over it when confronted with it. Approaching the issue is hard so most avoid it and talking to some one with mental health takes time and patience which a lot of people today don't seem to have. All the best to Clarke.

Refreshing to hear a lot of guys on here speaking with good knowledge and compassion about mental health. be nice if the wider football community could get involved in some kind of initiative to promote the issue of mental health. Suffers have a stigma to deal with, peoples perceptions, when just taking time to understand or speak with them can breakdown barriers.

Work in progress Wex, lots of great potential but not really had a lot of time to gel yet. Did you read Steve Morisons take on when he played for Leeds under MC? He says everyone had to stay in a hotel the night before a match and if playing away they all had to be on the coach on the way back even if they were off next day meaning if they were in London he would come home on the coach then have to travel back to London to his family! Knob Head, he should be fine for fraud, for calling himself a striker! MOT

I know we're flying at the minute but we will have to see what we are made of when things are not going so well. Then we'll know if this is the season of our redemption

Yes you're right Wex and it will be interesting to see how we fare with the next 5-7 games. That will give us a much more accurate impression of where we are as some tough tests to come.

Hey guys, why are we worried about what we haven't achieved yet! And why are we worried about who will or won't be good enough for what we haven't achieved yet! Spanish and Bige have it spot on, read their posts below, we should be enjoying and living the dream. I think because we have had many years of disappointment we get used to trying to find negativity.

I'm not in anyway disrespecting anyone but what Is happening has been a distant dream for years so embrace it, remember it, love it and when we get promoted the same management team will see us prepared and ready like they have this season, in them guys I trust and in TC I dream of success! Happy days are few and far between so enjoy it. MOT👍

Not jumping the gun, here and there's a long season ahead but, on the strength of performances so far; which of the players don't look like they'd cut it at a higher level?

On the strength off performance so far I'd say the team still aren't firing on all cylinders so will get better. So on that. I'd say our starting 11 from Tuesday night plus Dallas and roofe will all be fine when we go up. As they will all surely lift their own game also to prove to themselves and their doubters. 👍⚽️⚽️😃

Felix - despite the run of clean sheets (which haven't really been down to him imo) he looks very shaky - he really flapped at that one on Tuesday and had to be bailed out by Ayling. Unless he improves, Alioski is looking a good Champ player but not sure if he would be much good at the next level and i doubt Pablo will cut it in the Prem again - he gets tired too quickly imo

I think you are jumping the gun quite a bit. Top of the table, incredible contributions from Okane, Cooper, Hernandez and Phillips this season. Great starts from Anita, Alioski, Saiz, Lasogga. Accustomed performances from, Aylin's and Pontus. Goals from all over the place, high work rate, fluid passing football. Let's see how we keep on going and how far this great teamwork takes us before writing anybody off!

Spot on BIGE. You could only imagine there'd be significant investment if/when we reach the promised land. SKY dosh, extra season ticket sales etc, we wouldn't be short of a few quid. I don't really agree with Spanish (sorry old boy) , I think Pablo is looking sharper this season and has put some good shifts in. Whether he can maintain it or not is anyone's guess but this is why we need a big squad and we have options in most positions so don't have to rely on him so heavily this season. I also think The Cat is a good keeper. Yes, I know about the back four in front of him but it's no mean feat keeping six clean sheets and he has made some important blocks and is quick off his line. You mentioned Ayling having to bail him out midweek, but if the Brum striker hadn't been allowed to get one on one with him, that clearance wouldn't have been necessary. I certainly think he's quicker off his line than Green and he'll do for me. Just my opinion for what it's worth! DTP UTW MM

Personally, I think there's potential in all of our squad to step up, quite simply because Orta will never have been recruiting purely for the championship, and from what I've seen so far, he knows what he's doing quite obviously, so I trust him, and Radz, and the coaching team they have put in place.
