Use our rumours form to send us leeds transfer rumours.

Well the hearing is over and we again now have another few days of checking the websites every half an hour to see the result, and at the same time check whether we have a new player at last. If the non appearance of new players is down to MC not wanting to invest any money until the hearing is finished, then we really need the right result as there is no doubt we need real quality in a few positions to give us a chance of staying up and that needs investment at the right level.

If the appeal is successful then we need to look at better options than the ones mentioned so far they have to improve the team now, for me Becchio was never an option he was a a player that could score some goals when fit and in form but he has not played and has been injured and would be a risk, and not one worth taking. I think Bamba would be a good signing as he has the thing many have not had which is experience in the Championship, signing Jordan Ibe would be a fantastic deal for us, we desperately need width and he could play on the left flank.

However with no signings my team for Brum would be Silvestri, Taylor, Cooper, Bellusci Berardi, Byram, Austin, Cook, Mowatt, Sloth, and Antenucci with Adryan a definite sub to bring on if needed.

I think that side could do well it has width and with Mowatt Byram and Sloth getting into attacking positions would I believe get us more goals which I know would not be difficult.
We have to stay in this league keep MC get the 23 million investment and build the side around the 5-6 quality young players we have. Can only hope that the signings in the summer are the right player right age and right experience to be able to stand out in the championship, that cannot be Seie B or any other European B League

Spot on Markdavo

Markdavo
Think you need to decide who is making way for Morrison in your team

Agree0 Disagree0

Mowatt should be on the bench. Should stick with same side bar Antenucci who shd replace Morrison

Just seen that Mark
Hughes is willing to let Robert Huth leave on loan, if wages aren't huge and now with Whinging Warnock off the books wouldn't this be the kind of acquisition that would help the club and someone good to have around the younger players?

Doesn't look like many changes for Sat, as there are no squad additions likely, the best Redders can come up with to rally his troops is " we owe the fans a performance" we've been owed that for months.

Im getting tired of seeing redferns o/s statements " the lads have been upbeat all week in training " huh! Then tell me redders what happens between friday night and monday morning? because all I see is a lack of confidence in defence and in front of goal so I've had an idea! let's play all our games at thorpe arch i'm sure fa won't mind!! Lol mot

Jordan Ibe has gone back to Liverpool after a loan spell at Derby wouldn't mind trying to get him on loan

Believable0 Unbelievable0

All articles suggest rodgers wants him around their 1st team. If not I would have thought an extension would have been sorted. Only a thought but if liverpool are looking to snap up a young player e.g. cook could be used as bait on loan. Could be for any club though, Doubt it. IMO he could be better than sterling, not built like a 12 year old

I'm not sure if we need any new additions. I think we have enough in our squad to get us out of this mess they just have to be played in the correct formation.
It's a bit like Eric Morecambe famously said ''I'm playing all the right notes but not necessarily in the right order!''.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Sorry danumwhite if you think that you have been watching a completely different team to me.

Agree0 Disagree0

That's what I'm trying to say.
We have a squad with Adryan, Antenucci & Mowatt yet we play Murphy, Morison & Austin.
I know you can say things weren't going that great when they were in the team but I think that they are better players playing in the wrong system.

Agree0 Disagree0

Adryan has not done enough in my opinion and people may criticise Austin but I personally think he's alright, he's not a holding midfielder though but definitely provides energy to the team. Also I think Murphy is low on confidence but clearly has talent somewhere otherwise he wouldn't of done so well at Crewe, maybe a loan spell to help him rebuild that is needed

Please if there is a god. Take the PLaystations off M.C, Salerno and the man child sons.no more Serie b(or conference here) standard players. Albanian strikers. Are they Totally THICK, just look at the crap these tits have signed already. Beyond me!!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

What crap might that be? As far as I can see, ALL of his signings have done well. Especially Antenucci and Silvestri

Agree0 Disagree0

All the new signings have not been above average. Silvestri had a good start buts looks shot now. Antenucci a good standard championship player but the rest, unless they improve and show more consistency, like KEA says are looking fairly crap. Beradi always out of position. bellusci doesn't want to defend. Doukara hasn't got a touch whatsoever and as for the new Kaka, nuff said. Oh, I nearly forgot, Cooper looks like he can become a very good player for us. MOT.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with the corkwhite. Forgot about Cooper playing not too bad!!

Robert Huth on loan would be an excellent option for us. Stoke want him loaned out to get him back on track after a while out injured.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I wish we could get him but have a feeling he won't want to drop a division and cellino would laugh at his wages!

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Jan 2015 15:48:21
Cellino has cited the lack of transfers into the club due to the uncertainty regarding his ownership. Although this is a factor I would also suggest that the transfer embargo and Cellino's transfer policy have also had an effect. Cellino appears to be only interested in players from Italian clubs. Serie A players would be more interested in staying within Italy and therefore going out on loan to other Italian clubs while Serie B teams would be interested in a loan if a loan fee was attached (which we can't provide). Cellino has stated that there is no point just loaning anyone (fair point) however Serie B is not to the standard of the championship therefore those players who are available because they are not playing for their host clubs are hardly going to be world beaters. A loan from a premier league club would be the best option as they tend to fund part of the loan players wages and are generally not bothered with a loan fee, however Cellino is not interested in these players

Succinctly put Notts, and very difficult to argue with. Seems we are locked into this downward spiral sadly….

After reading MC's article in today's YEP I am sick to the back teeth of the excuses he keeps coming out with, there is only one person to blame for the mess we are in & that is Mr Cellino. I know he bought our club at a time when others were pulling out, however if he had done his due diligence right he would have found out as did Haigh & the sports capital consortium that something was badly wrong with the club & maybe he would have been in a better situation to re negotiate the purchase price of the club. A chairman that doesn't listen to his coach on the players that need to be bought in is a fool. Stop blaming others MC & start looking at yourself otherwise you will take us down & into administration

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Other worrying comments by Cellino
it won't be a disaster if we get relegated? sounds to me he's already gearing up for it.

Agree0 Disagree0

I could be wrong but I doubt we would even be a club now if he didn't buy us. He has paid out quite a bit of money, and money that no one else was prepared to pay out. I respect the man for sticking by us. Yes some of his decisions are a bit radical, but he has put up the money so he is entitled to run the club his way.
Our job is to support our club, and him because he is at the helm, he pays the bills, and he has got us out of financial sh1t.
We won't go down, we have too many good players, we just need to gel and get a bit of confidence.
Just my opinion. MOT

Agree0 Disagree0

We said that before we dropped out of prem. It would be a disaster if we are relegated. Byram, Cook, Mowatt would be gone when big boys come knocking. I like having the local lads in 1st team. Think cook is going to be special. Mowatt come on leaps & bounds. Byram for right wing could see him make the leap. Taylor looks solid.

Agree0 Disagree0

Disagree Fredh, as I said if he had done he due diligence correctly he would have found the same problems Haigh did & tried to do he would have tried to renegiotiate the fee paid for the club, he has no option now but to put money in as he has no chance of recouping the money he has paid for the club.

I have heard Chris Wood (forward) at Leicester is looking for a new club. def loan after there new signings push him down pecking order. would be a great addition to our squad and he knows championship well and got a great record for goals . Come on Redders let's get him to end of season could be our answer!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

It's not up to Redfearn mate and he's not a serie b player.

Agree0 Disagree0

I like him and the winger they have got french name.

Fear not doomsters, I predict a win this weekend and the the goals to start flowing again for Auntie Luce now his 'bad luck' beard has gone. We don't need new signings, just clean shaven strikers! I'm off straight down the bookies and putting my benefit money on Luce to bag the first goal in a Leeds win. I shall be treating Mrs Mick with my winnings to a new LUFC ironing board cover, quality!

MM (modern man)

12 points from 12 I reckon mickless
Ironing board covers should be birthday or xmas gifts mate. Your missus is lucky on all counts mate!

Yeah MM, I bet your shell suit will come up a treat on a new ironing board cover. If you really wanna spoil her, I think the shop have got some Leeds United vacuum bags newly in stock

Warnock gone and I for one feel we will miss him but from his point of view it was a no brainer really and good luck to him, I liked him as a player and been our best defender this season in my opinion.

hopefully CT will come in and do well, needs to work on his crossing/passing (which is vital for full backs these days) but seems to be able to tackle, quick and seems to have good potential, a half season in championship will help him for next season, if we can stay up.

Its D Day!
Good job the date is not the 17th else MC would be hiding in the loo.
Frankly let's hope we get a descision that is final and enables us to move forward, I no loger care which way just let's pray it clears away all this uncertainty.

You are correct Richard
We need a definitive decision - we don't want to be going through all this indecision again in a few months

he's coming etc but nobody as yet . mc waiting until hearing bit bloody stupid if he loses then out for what 7 weeks what a waste of time and money . fa you are a sad bunch . you didn't stop the birmingham bloke how is now in prison . again another fa attack on leeds
mc got money but tite fisted .got to get players to build on to many stop gap players .fans know who should be out also to many got 3 year contract and just hanging around for money .warnock should stay even not playing good cover . gone from playing captain to out not a lot of sense there but that's leeds do things back to front .out hunt wotton morison tonge norris to name a few now when did he last play 18mths . need good clear out and then rebuild a team for the next 6 -10 years no more stop gap players .like last years loanees kebe camaron . need to build be4 it's to late and down again . when we should be in play off at least . saturday 2-1 leeds got to watch out for that young winger

I have a feeling that Lady luck is about to change direction, hopefully Cellino will win the battle but if not let's move forward

Well hoping for 11 points with 2 home wins and an away win.

Next five games with 3 at home
Birmingham 1-0 win to Leeds
Bournmouth 1-1 draw
Huddesfield away 2-1 win to Leeds
Brentford 2-0 win to Leeds
Reading away 0-0 draw

Well I am hoping as we need some luck

MoT

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I back your predictions, however I can't see us beating Brentford without conceding. Hope your right though!

Agree0 Disagree0

Brum 2-1
Bournmouth 1-1
Sheep worriers 1-1
Brentford 3-1
Reading lose 1-2

So I reckon (judged on last couple of performances with new formation and no new players in) 8-9 points would be great and move us about 5-7 points above drop zone, will put crystal ball away now

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry can't see us beating any of those with the present formation ie Redfearn, s idea of what the tactics should be and the first eleven. First he gets it wrong with the diamond. The he changes the formation with Byram out wide but takes out Antelucci and plays Morison, Also Murphy returns, and although he plays a bit better than previously, he still misses a sitter and gives the penalty away. Redfearn can't get it right because he gets so much wrong. Great with the youngsters don't rate him in the big league. Never have. MC probably right about Becchio.
