*JOKE

You had to much to drink..get yourself off to bed.

Agree10 Disagree0

He can do a walk, he had his chance, so stuff him

Agree8 Disagree2

Smith is a joke, never been any good, hes found his level now, best leave him where he is,is there only Smith and Brown to choose from like, get a grip.

Agree8 Disagree5

A spent force! His down fall began when he thought he could start playing in midfield. His strength was always as a striker. I can remember his success in that role! Yes he did well in the Championship with Newcastle but he was in a good side full of mostly premiership players and he has broken his leg since then not to mention put on a few pounds. He is not an option.

Agree8 Disagree3

If his strength was as a striker when one season he scored a goal every three games, then he makes Brian Dean look like the bargain of the century.
I am old school, I like a striker to score goals, Shearer, Fowler, Owen....., this "leading the line, and bringing other players into the game" for me is just nonsence'
Those who can, do, those who can't teach.
Those who can score, do, those who can't, drop into midfield.
The only benefit I see by him coming back is if Brown goes, at least we can keep up the red and yellow card count.

Agree3 Disagree1

Smith has been oblivious since joining MK Dons...no thanks from me...if he had been on form there then maybe worth a punt but cant seem to cut it at league 1 level atm

I like Becchio but he does go down so much that we should nickname him The General Belgrano also I hear Norwich are sniffing around Snodgrass.
Well congratulations Norwich you might be in the league above us but you are fast becoming known as the home of Leeds' sloppy seconds.

Snodgrass to sign a 12 month extension by the way.

Snodgrass to sign 36 month extension to male sure we get a decent fee. Bates will no doubt keep that in mind

I hope Becchio is trembling in his boots after being given a severe lesson in how to play centre forward.
Billy Paynter won 99% of the longballs, with his head AND got the majority of them to a player in white.
He made himself big, he was busy as hell, scores two, assists another, tackled back, did the complete job. His goals werent classics but he was at the right spot at the right time. Becchio comes on, within seconds hes on his ass waving at the ref after loosing out on a header. After the match when BP came over to the kop he deserved every minute of the applause. I just hope he can get over his mental block from the last two seasons and do this week in week out while we cash in on Becchio and sell him to Charlton!!

Believable9 Unbelievable11

Pitty it takes a big clear out in the summer to start and play for your pay packet?

Agree5 Disagree3

Such short memories some people. Becchio got 20 goals for us last season and was one of our best players attracting interest from some Premiership clubs. He's now having injury hit season with terrible service and its time for him to move on. I think you and many other posters recently are being harsh on one of our most loyal, successful and longest serving players of recent years.

Agree13 Disagree0

The fact we kept 11 men on the pitch also contributed to Billys performance..Becchio has been the loan man up front for a ten man team in the previous two games.if Becchio gets an injury free pre season I,m sure he'll be back with a bang .

Agree8 Disagree0

Bechio is an excellent player but has suffered because of missing pre-season. he will do good for us next season and fans need to get off his back.

Agree9 Disagree2

Ill be suprise if NW doesnt bring 2 new strikers in,hoping for at least 6 players who are signed, not loaned, and first team players, not squad, the hardest part will be getting shut of all the dead wood.

Agree2 Disagree0

Paynter has never been given a chance since he was signed. He missed almost three quarters of his first season and was then given the odd 10 minutes here and 5 minutes there. He was then asked to play lone striker for a few games; its not rocket science to look at him and realise that he is never going to fit that role. He comes back into a team in the role that he should play and has given others a lesson in how a strong centre forward should play. However this is only one game; he deserves to play the rest of the season in that role and see if this is a one off or whether he can play that position regularly. If he can't then we need someone else who can because Becchio can't fill that position.

Just been reading comments about paynter from some people on here and i can understand both sides. Yes frustration that in the PAST he didn't take his chances when given them but yesterday he gave his all. Best player by far for me. The point is the bloke popped up and scored 2 goals and helped us to a win something I haven't seen for a while at ER. Whether he stays or not at the moment he's a Leeds player so I'll support him and give him his due when he deserves it. So well done billy and the rest of you, whether you're a Leeds player next season a good win. MOT

Believable8 Unbelievable0

Exactly mate well said. Look at chelsea and torres, they never stopped backing him. Keep playin the guy and done just turn on him and he could become a decent player.

Agree6 Disagree0

Nothing to lose at this point of the season. Come on Billy, show your worth.

Agree6 Disagree0

Great coment you must be proper leeds fans who talk sence if these billy haters take notice of other things at elland road like reserves billys been scoring for fun and getting the odd double nw had a good look at him and gave him a chance and hes took it billy to start next match p.s get behind the lads and stop being negative. if rachubka played next season id get behind him because hes got the shirt on and not because i like him (hes poor but our player)

Agree6 Disagree0

Yeah, look at Torres, what a load of carp, hes a striker who cant score costing 50 million, hes the worst striker in the division,so whats your point?if they aint doing the job they were signed for,get shut,Paynter in the Premiership wouldnt get a sniff, hes league 1 level, keep it real.
