The criticism of our players is getting out of hand. Hernandez has won more games for us than he has lost. Here's an idea why not support our players rather than slapping them down after a couple of disappointing results

The project being driven by Radz must be supported because he is moving the club forward in great strides, but if you watched that performance yesterday you can only criticise how abysmal it was. The players were poor but TC showed that he learned very little from the past two defeats as he played the same formation, tactics and players (for the majority) who have not been performing. The lack of awareness to change his tactics during a game when we are getting overrun (it cried out for an additional midfielder for a period to get a grip of the game) was poor. Substitutions showed no risk/ambition as they were like for like. Sometimes it is fair to criticise because 33k fans were subjected to that dross.

Yesterday our players looked like they lack confidence. They are playing with fear, to me it looks as if they don't believe in TCs game plan. They are trying to play in a style that they are not comfortable with as it looks like that style allows us to be over run in midfield far too often. We looked far too lightweight trying to play possession football in and around our own half of the field. Teams are prepared to push up deep on us and wait for us to lose the ball. TC needs to learn quickly or he will lose the fans as well as his players.

Even though not a great performance we had 55% possession 15 attempts 6 on target. Do you remember last season when we had no attempts on target. We are building a team it takes time

If we don't have a decent LB why don't we try playing without one? Give 3-5-2 or 3-5-1-1 a go? Sure Ayling could play RWB while Alioski has played LWB for his country hasn't he? Bet Dallas could do a job at LWB too. An extra body in CM may stop us getting outmuscled so easily in some games. Also, why not give Anita a go in CM, that's the position he's best known for isn't it?

Words fail me. Does TC not realise the system he is continuing to play has been Sussed by our opponents and it's NOT working. ! Time to change personnel on the pitch. Why are too many not looking like they are interested. ? Can't believe he's sticking with some when they aren't performing. Why not try shaunassey in mid to strengthen it up. ? Grot isn't good enough. ! Viera not even on the bench ? Bringing Dallas on in the 89th min. ? What good is that. If making a change to try win a game do it with 25/30 mins to go. I am losing patience with TC as much as he done well at first. Since the last few bad results. His stubbornness to play same system reminds me off a certain f-ing snake. Please do something quick or we will free fall down the league. And come January our challenge could be fighting for 6th. Or worse. 🙈 I know we are only 4 points off top. But form is shocking and upcoming fixtures don't look any better for us to get points. ! 🙈🙈⚽️👎

As anticipated another poor performance with the set of players that started. GK was ok. Back four seemed to have caught the same disease as Reading had last season. Slow sideways and back ward passes, with some also misdirected which slowed things down even more. For me Pennington and Anita are better options at the back although Beradi wasn't too bad but not as cultured as Anita. Ayling also below his best. O'kane was better today but Phillips not up to it. With those two in mid field and with us being found out we do not create enough. Phillips tries hard but the final product is no good enough. Saiz produces more than Hernandez but only seems interested when he has the ball. He doesn't do much off the ball. Roofe showed some touches but hasn't the pace to unsettle defenders. Sacko is raw but he did shake up the Reading defence with his speed and he gave us a bit of drive. Don't know what's happened to Lasogga. I thought he was a very good find when he started but the last few games he has lacked energy, wins nothing in the air, positional play below par and, for a big man, too easily knocked off the ball. Grot has shown nothing as yet. He is not good in the air and brings little else. Pretty poor all round for the last three games. If I didn't know better I would say something is not quite right in the dressing room. Poor attitude and disgruntled players usually leads to the sort of sloppy and lethargic play we have seen recently. I hope TC can sort it out but I wasn't inspired by his after the game interview. Jansson straight off the pitch at the end. What was all that about.

Got to agree with both battymatty and hesslian. Just got home from today's match been a long slow drive down the M1. Had a birdseye view from the upper tier of the east stand, so got to see the whole of the pitch. Firstly Loners played well and not at fault for the goal. Saiz and Hernandez got knocked of the ball far too easily. Back four drive me mad with their constant backpackers to our keeper and sidewards play. Lassoga looked like he was wearing a pair of divers lead boots. Today I witnessed 2 poor teams, Reading were timewasting in the first half ffs, they came looking for a draw. We looked scared, totally lacking confidence. TC doesn't seem to know what to do. Also got to say very poor ref today. And Reading very poor support, only a couple of hundred. One of the worst turn outs I've seen from an away team at ER.

I think the main difference between the first 8 games and the last few is the speed that we break from defence to attack, first 8 the defenders won the ball and in seconds we were on the attack, last few we seem to just like passing it round our own penalty area

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Oct 2017 16:15:05
Agree, the continue passing around our own penalty area is crazy, all we are doing is inviting the opposition to push up on us. We lose the ball and are then under pressure, trouble is that TC continues with this crazy policy.

I think today there was not one obvious prblem, Rather it was virtually everyone deciding to play at 60% on the same day. Every one making the same silly (avoidable) mistakes. Everyone letting someone else put in the work. Now is the time for TC to put in some work. Crack the whip where needed and give TLC where needed but if nothing firm is done then we are walking out to 4 in a row if not carefull. From the performances at the start I know that we can turn it around so on that I am not (yet) despondent Still optimistic.

I’m with you on this Dave, words fail me to describe the lack of commitment shown today. All today’s players how wore the shirt should hang their heads in shame! Lonergan was a good choice from TC but unlike Felix his distribution was rubbish, but saying that it looked like no one wanted the ball, something is wrong, something needs sorting and TC is hopefully still the man to do it but if he can’t he’s got to come out and say! January is to far away for us to wait, by then we might be to far behind! We need that attacking flare back, clean sheets are all well and good but if we don’t score then it’s not good. I don’t care what it takes, upsetting players, sackings, I don’t care just let’s get back to where we are, it’s starting to hurt now and I for one don’t like that feeling! Sort it out TC!

Were to start? Oh yea Pontus Jackson, s magic Well he must be as he seems to. have made all that passion and aggression disappear. If JCB made proper scoopers it wouldn't of been big enough to clear that much rubbish off the pitch today. No passion, no commitment, no movement no idea. They looked clueless at best. Lonergan same as at Burnley never made a clearance that reached a Leeds player. Coops, Jannson and Lonergan playing keep ball with each other. Siaz clueless altho ref didn't help his cause. Hernandez looked way off the mark and lassogna was lazy and isolated, roofe looked scared to shoot. On to the ref WOW apparently you can be offside inside your own half now! Man of the match was the little ginger ball ball who pretentended to throw the ball to gunter and just dropped it and walked off giggling to himself. Only thing that made me smile in 90 mins. Mr Christianson you have some work to do. 34,000 people payed with there hard earned cash today to watch that. If we performed at work like that we would be shown the door. GET THEM SORTED

Think we are now paying the price for not investing in another decent centre half, pontus needs help and sadly although cooper has played ok, he gets caught out too much. We also need another holding midfielder, someone who can break up the play and pass a ball forward! Today the only time we got any width down the wing was when sacko came on. TC saying players lacking confidence, surely he has a plan to sort this out. He looking very Monklike.

I don’t get to many games these days because of work commitments but whenever we are at home and I have a Saturday afternoon off I like to visit the Cathedral on ER. Normally nip in and get a single ticket and happy days. Today is one such day so I went online to snag a ticket and guess what? Sold out.

It’s great that we have a full stadium but where the heck we’re all these ‘supporters’ when we were in League 1? I never had a problem getting a ticket then. What about when we were mid table Championship? Could always get a few tickets in those days. But now? They all come crawling out of the woodwork when they sniff a bit of glory. Makes my blood boil.

If you are going to follow us - follow us through thick and thin and not just if we are winning a few games. That’s what support is supposed to be about. Fair weather bs.

Finally TC has bowed to common sense. Felix out Loners in. Assuming Lonerghan is not a long time answer and BPF is not quite ready then whoever is chosen as top GK in the Championship (or even L1) team of the year then maybe we should grab them no matter the cost.

Personally I would play Lonergon in goal but I don't think TC will drop Felix. I would play Anita at left back and Pennington and Jansson at centre back. I would introduce Vierra or Klitch into mid field and if Phillips styarts play him further forward, Hernandez further out left (or Saiz) and Lasogga up front. Alioski wide right
