i wonder who will be new manager next season.
remember from the outside we haven't a pot to do you know what in.
lots of has beens and desperados will apply but who can actually get us up without spending anything? without byram whom i'm sure will be snapped up.
already we are looking to the summer again, we will get the same promises of golden horizons only to be crapped on by aug 31st.
already patel has said 3.3 mill needed to fund east stand project before anything. he's started excuses already. its not looking much better is it?. shrew leeds

Usual weekly post re McCormack. He calls himself a striker. How many goals has he scored in the Championship? How many 'sitters' has he missed? Fans talk about his 'assists' but they have been few and he is in there to score. Keep saying it 'He is not good enough' that's why he dropped down the pecking order at Cardiff and why the manager got rid. Before anybody else says it Varney doesn't score much either. We are now relying on full backs and midfielders to score and defend. Still have an open mind about Morison. Too early to tell. Still possible to get into play offs but odds are going up. Looking at fixtures - a win against Huddersfield could be good particularly looking at the other fixtures. Doom and Gloom again if we don't get the three points.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion on players but I wonder if you voiced similar concerns last season?

Ross is playing ok and trys hard but he is there to score goals and he isnt.
infact he has missed quite a few.
perhaps abit more shooting practice in afternoons and less tweeting

Got a feeling Ross has somehow upset you pal. I agree he isn't doing great scoring wise but still know that he is playing well enough to keep his place. just. Hopefully one goal will get him going on a run just like Viduka used to do. No goals in say 8 games and then 12 in 9 games! God we could do with that plus a bit more from Morison. Keep the faith and remember that's its only a game and we are the main players no matter what! MOT

To answer your question in the championship he has scored 55 goals in 180 appearances, wasn't dropped down the pecking order at Cardiff he picked up a few injuries ruling him out most of the time ( and to be honest with bothroyd and chopra and then finally bellamy in the team can't blame them) don't forget he picked up a pretty nasty injury this season already, I do agree though he need to score more particularly this seasons not been great but i'm not going to abuse him, clearly he is a good player and as things stand the best striker we have at the club

Original poster. Yes I was saying this last season. McCormack is a feast or famine striker. When he arrived at Leeds it took him an age to score. Then he went on a spree. Then stopped. Another spree and stopped again. Fans talked about him not being able to partner Becchio. He was/is playing out of position etc etc. It is just not that he isn't scoring its the blatant 'misses' that affect games and how this adds to the teams inconsistency. Don't actively dislike the lad I just don't think he is what we need. We have a number of players doing a decent job around the pitch - Varney and McCormack included, but none of these strikers are consistent. Too early to tell with Morison.

How times have changed. I have seen every home game this season and I will go to all the rest. Its been poor this season but i'm sort of just happy we hit the magic 50 so were safe! that's this season!
Next season this is what I think will be the difference. We have new owners who once Bates has eventually gone will I am sure back the team with investment, they already have started off in the right vein with season ticket prices, i'm sure they will engage with the fans a lot more AND i'm also sure they will bring in a new manager.
NW love him or hate him as done his best with what he has been given. I think he is tired and has run out of ideas, that's why he doesn't change the side, because we haven't been losing, and as long as we ain't losing he's happy he's doing a good job.
LUFC Season 2013/14 will be a different LUFC and a different Elland Road. The crowds will come back and it will be one of if not the most intimidating ground for an opposing team to come. I might be dreaming but I think i'm right

Yes, goals are hard to come by, the majority of goals have been sold to Norwich - Snodgrass and Becchio.

He isn't playing as a striker at the minute so it is more about him creating chances. We know when upfront he can score goals looking at last season top scorer for us so why don't you instead of knocking his confidence further by having the fans on his back get behind him. Pathetic excuses for fans at the minute to be fair. When I see things like this I become embarrassed to call myself a Leeds fan.
You all ask for loyalty from players and would have been mad if mccormack left after his good season last season. Yet whenever he stops scoring loads you want rid of him, loyalty works both ways you know? No wonder becchio snodgrass etc left you'd just be on there back if they stopped scoring anyway and call for their heads.

McCormack is a striker playing out wide. He needs to be in the centre with his main job getting in the box and scoring. He's having to concentrate on getting down the wing and getting some crosses in . We need to play the passing game as a simple 4-4-2. Your wrong about him not been good enough. He's just low on confidence.

Does it make any difference, if he had scored 30 goals by now we would've sold him to Norwich during the transfer window.

dundee white here not posted anything 4 a few days still in shock from just how bad we were on tuesday anyone who saw that game like me must feel that's it 4 this season, however 2 days on looking at the table we are 5 point now not 6 off the playoffs. we never play well when playing the lower teams its them who see us as their cup finnal and play as such, we can forgive the team that display on tuesday but that's it no more slip ups. it"s still a big long shot getting a playoff place, but we are leeds and are always the long shot, let's not give up yet loads of points to play for and loads off twist and turns still to come other team will slip up over the coming weeks let's hope we have had our slip ups now and can do what's needed from here on in, we are leeds we are leeds we are leeds mot

When it's mathematically impossible I will stop believing. You might say I am deluded but why give up now? Is that what you expect from the team? To give up? If the fans have given up why should the lads try? This isn't about NW or how you rate varney etc just the fact as slim as it may be we are still in the mix.
Stop being nay Sayers and back the lads for a few more games!

Can't beat relegation threatened Peterborough at home. and after 37 games have a negative goal difference. Simply not good enough and don't deserve to go up. The stats don't lie. Hope next season the good things start to happen as we always dreamed they would. but not this season.

Whats going to change next season all ready the club are stating, it depends on the take up of the season tickets to how much money can be spent on the squad, here we go again well guess what if Gfh invest in Leeds then I will, until then ill keep my money in my pocket!

So Cardiff aren't good enough to go up? or Blackburn? and Milwall got hammered 5-1 by them so by that logic anyone worth going up should beat milwall atleast 5-1 away? They won there last 3 away games before us they are probably one of the form teams in the league at the moment. Should have been beating them if we want play offs but doesn't automatically mean you don't deserve to go up, go tell Cardiff players and fans that.

To last poster. I don't think its the fact its peterborough, its the fact we have to win against teams near the bottom if we wanted any chance of play offs. peterborough have had some great results but mainly they are terrible hence where they are.
we are just not deserving of play offs. shrew leeds

The stats don't lie indeed and they currently show us only 5 points off the play offs with a good few games to play, what do people honestly expect we've got an OK team not great granted but good enough on their day to compete with the best in the country (yes the stats don't lie) we've got enough games to get in so where's the excitement and passion? I can't wait for the next game because I know we are more then capable from picking up points against anyone in the league, I dunno what it is its as if people expect us to just romp through the league week in week out, regardless of how much money u spend no one is guaranteed anything u need to play what's infront of u and compete, and with reference to the p'boro game this clues are in your first line "relegation threatened. at home" their club had about 100 more reasons to beat us then what we have. put urself in their shoes "cant beat mid-table supposedly poor leeds. at home" cumon folks get a grip this is how football goes

warnock has shown me more than enough to say he is not interested and never has been he loves himself and blames all others. I won't come back untill he has gone, to all of you who say I am not a true fan at least I am proactive in getting shut of what is damaging any prospects or Premier league football, the more you turn up the more he and the owners feel he is doing enough?????

The more people (customers) turning a blind eye can only be good for the club? we are only where we are because of politics and managers, if your happy with that you should be a huddersfield fan. It is time the fans had a voice and not just turn up week in week out just to fund people who are obviously not good at what they do. Ask yourself are you satisfied when your team Leeds Utd play Peterborough at home and draw, we should be playing Liverpool Arsenal and manchester clubs weekly.
