what gets me is 27000 fans shouting for leeds all games surely that is motivation to drive the team forward it's great more than most teams get it's time for every body to stand up and be counted from coach older players and new players and teens sometimes we attacked but midfield so far behind like last two years ball comes back were good enough we have to stop ball higher up field then give then pressure at times it like players can't go pass half way line . unless corner pearce never goes pass half way . also gone back to same players taking throw ins surely nearest one keeps game following and puts them under pressure it's like robots you do this mix it up do new things keep them thinking what's next how many times on saturday throw in and no body move why don't you want the ball it makes it easy for them schoolboy errors time to grow up standing around thinking it's ok he'll do it doesn't work you start trying and tell other to talk and then they talk back encourage then you grow as a team basic stuff you train together perhaps time for players meeting let it all out then clean sheet and build on that you can do it lads we the fans know it so it's about time you did

We are to predictable, teams have us sussed before half time, our formation and tactics don't change from the start, Dawson came on yesterday and while I don't doubt his talent he won't change things when we are losing, we haven't had any flair or ability to conjur something out of the ordinary since Gradel and Snodrass left it's just the same short passing losing ball tactics game after game, we need some players to get hold of the ball and start turning opposing full backs inside out, run the ball into the box and cause havoc for our strikers to run onto loose balls, the long crosses in just aren't working.

Agree0 Disagree0

Unfortunately Antennuci is not great in the air and Doukara spends too much time outside the box. Brian Deane in disguise?

Agree0 Disagree0

If only we could have somebody nearly as good as Brian Deane we would be in a lot better position. He was good in the air, could hold the ball up, had pace, scored.and was a Leeds lad. He did it in the Premiership (not just the championship or league one), in the top flight in Portugal and played for England. Too many out there that couldn't recognise a good player if they spent all day watching them.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hesslian, Deane's scoring record for Leeds (1 in every 4.45 games over 2 periods) was not as good as his overall career (1 in every 3.34). I admit that stats do not always paint an accurate picture of a players overall game however he was a striker who was paid to score goals. I suggested that if he spent less time on the wing and more time in the box (like Doukara) he may have scored more goals. The comment does not suggest he was a poor player rather that he did not fully utilise his potential for Leeds (like Doukara). Some fans are blinkered in seeing the development areas in home grown players

Went to Ipswich last week and thought we could never play as bad as that again, however yesterday was awful, if we are n it careful we are going down, defence is awful, Pearce is done, tyres but a liability on the ball. Likely to be out of the transfer market in January. Not looking good

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Agreed Pearce is dodgy. His presence in the back 4 has an unsettling effect. Unfortunately, unless Bellusci is available Redfearn will not drop him. If I was Del Fabro I would request to return to Italy, never going to get a game under Redfearn

funny someone at back out and last two games bad he talks to players and starts the moves couple weeks ago lots of short passes getting out of defence now gone . he attacks the ball and starts things now it gone quiet and nobody seams to know what to do . it looks like better players than last year but were playing same football one knows what's coming next . ball was always going to right hand corner if I see that then the other team must know . time to change TACTICS . no great height in team so need balls coming in to feet on edge of area . hard games coming up need to sort it out . how can we beat derby one week then play crap the next to games

Tighten your seat belt Ed we are in a relegation dog fight!

{Ed001's Note - long way to go yet mate, the Championship can change in just a few games.}

Yes Ed there is a long way to go and we have some great young players but we have no Leaders on the pitch to guide them especially away from home. MOT

This result has not changed my mind and a loss of 3 points is never good but the squad is good enough and large enough. Have faith that with small changes things will get better.
I would always believe that if you are getting nowhere then a good manager will recognise when a player(s) is underperforming and shuffle his line up or is it that the just that the system is the problem and again switch but in a tactical way with the introduction of different types of players. The major criticism I would have at the moment, is that Redders seems to be blinkered to pretty football at all costs. Whereas I and many more would drool over intricate passing sometimes you have to just get stuck in and if necessary grind out a win. Maybe he does not think he has the players capable of a Plan B (or C for that matter) either way we must not bay for blood and still keep the faith. We are Leeds. Life would be boring if it were too easy

Good post leo. I was there yesterday & still don't agree with the doom & gloomers. 2nd half we were chasing the game & that's where we're missing a Strachan type player to unlock teams. Adryan went tired after a decent shift imo although he would have scored his header but chickened out. 1st half was good stuff at times, Byram inches wide & Mowatts crossbar so it's fine lines & we could have gone in 2-0 up. Then it's a different game & confidence is up. Find me a Batty & Strachan and we'll be fine in the short term & we build from there. Keep the faith boys and girls MOT

I don't rate Redfearn at all but I still think the side is capable of a top 10 finish. If, IF we beat Forest and Wigan which we are capable of, then we'll be back on track. Got to sort out the midfield ASAP

Good posts Leo & degsy, can't believe some doomers calling for redders head. I was at the game and thought we deserved something from it but not our day I think we need somebody decent to partner Ant as the Duc is not good enough his first touch is appalling and a decent midfielder.

Agree0 Disagree0

Your right about Doukara he is lazy and his first touch is awful. Refearn does have players to replace him, where as Montenegro gone he is quick and would support Antenucci. We also have problems in the defence with Pearce why haven't we tried out Del Fabro he surely couldn't be any worse. I am still puzzled as to why we have Tonge warming the bench he couldn't come on as a game changer so why is he there he must have other players he can use we have a big enough squad. I still believe we can survive but Refearn needs to use his experience and stop listening to Cellino on how the team should play
