If it's true Warnock has a few bob to spend in January, then a true show of intent from GFH would be to get Faurlin. Yes I know another QPR player, but for me he was the creative master who got QPR up. Arry let him go once for 1m, and he is stupid enough to do it again. Let Leeds be the benefactors!

Believable9 Unbelievable4

How can you possibly confuse Faurlin and Taraabt?

Agree10 Disagree1

Made the same mistake on the YEP site aswell! Got yourself in a right little muddle haven't you

Faurlin was a good player and did play a big part without him Taraabt probably wouldn't of looked so good but it was Taraabt that everyone noticed as he had alot to do with most goals

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't think the first post got them mixed up. I would agree faurlin is a great player.

Agree5 Disagree1

He most certainly did get them mixed up because redknapp never sold faurlin to qpr

Hey guys while where all talking shat about old players coming back ie gradel/ Beckford / delph. why don't we bring back the 1 and only lad who can sort the left back problem out yours truely ANDY HUGHES.! MOT.

Believable8 Unbelievable5

Its maybe the left side that needs sorting altogether . if you get a lb thats gonna get forward then you need a lw that will get back or someone in cm that will drop back into an area that can cover . we seem to have a good balance on the right at the moment with green and byram just cant see why we cant get it sorted on the left . might be time to look for a natural left footed young lb .whites not good enough he showed promise at first but seems to of gone the wrong way and time to leave. for me drury needs to play consistantly until we can get a young lb {Ed013's Note - Leeds have a young LB in White but he doesn't get the chance to grow in that position}

I think terry is rubbish but point taken

never thought i would say this but bates was right calling some fans morons. ed milibands a leeds fan metioned it in a speech today 10 times. the looney lefts top man supports leeds. was ashamed to be metioned in that company. mot

Believable9 Unbelievable15

So you're a Tory. That's your prerogative. Keep your politics off this page. I doubt that many of us care what you think in any case.

Agree12 Disagree3

If you reckon Labour are loonies, your either a UKIP man(?) or a Tory bottom-tupper. And younger than 20 yrs old. I bet Ed knows we play football and not 'soccer' like those hooray ,yah, yah, yah, henry's -fancy a Pimms?

Agree7 Disagree3

Stefan Edberg is a Leeds fan. He's a person according to Ken Bates.
Russell Crowe is a Leeds fan. He's person according to Ken Bates.
Ed Milliband is a Leeds fan. He's a person according to Ken Bates.
Kelly Jones is a Leeds fan. He's a person according to Ken.... ad nauseam.
So anyone you don't like and neither does KB means KB is correct? hmmmm.....

tory boy here lol. im the furthest think from a tory boy there is. the speech said its harder being a leeds fan than being leader of labour the man a person. by the way who is kelly jones? {Ed013's Note - Stereophonics lead singer}

Agree1 Disagree1

So is the guy who played Neville longbottom in harry potter!

Agree1 Disagree0

Enough of this twaddle about politics. People have the right to vote for who they like. You can switch allegiances at the next election, just as you can change your job, where you live, your girlfriend etc. The one thing you can't change is your football team. I started supporting Leeds in the dark days of 1981 and have never lost the faith.

John Fitz supports Leeds and I'm fairly sure he stood for the Monster Raving Loony Party in 2010...oh and Jeremy Paxman supports the Mighty Whites too.

who is harry potter and are we going to sign him in jan

Agree7 Disagree0

I am not sure Russell Crowe is a leeds fan. I knew Russell when I lived in New Zealand 25 odd years ago and he never mentioned football at all let alone Leeds. Russell is a big cricket fan being a cousin of Martin and Jeff Crowe. I think this Leeds thing came up when he was asked if he followed English football. His answer was something along the lines of I remember in the seventies Leeds united used to kick everyone so that would be my kind of team. I think his tongue was in his cheek at the time but it got reported that he was a Leeds fan as a result.

NO please don't keep banging on about Beckford and Gradel!

They are history let's move on!

Believable4 Unbelievable14

My squad for tomorrow against Ipswich kenny
Tate
Lees
Byram
Either peltier or drury can't decide who's worse
Tonge
Green
Thomas rw
Diouf cam
Mcormack lw
Becchio cf
3. 1 to leeds

Agree5 Disagree1

Obviously not history as warnock has named both as possibles

i would probably leave mccormack and thomas on the bench to make sure there injury free for the chelsea game . i would also put pearce in and drop tate to the bench so that lees and pearce get some time together ready for chelsea.

i would play
kenny - (Ashdown back in for chelsea)

byram-
lees-
pearce-
drury - (same defence for both games)

green
tonge
brown
hall - (thomas in for chelsea)

Diouf - (mccormack in for chelsea)
becchio

bench
mccormack
thomas
ashdown
tate
white
peltier
norris

we might see poleon on bench for ipswich rather than white as this game warnock will want plenty of attacking options on the bench to give us best chance of a win

I'm i the only one who is disappointed with the names being touted around in here that we may or may not sign? not saying they would not be good signings, but we have just tied down diouf, which shows we have the investment, i just think we should be aiming a bit higher, Warnock knows what's he doing and i think he will attract better players than that are currently linked. any thoughts? Truth is nobody knows who of decent quality will actually be available. prem teams will have to make some moves before we take their unwanted's.

African/Scandis that graced Elland Road

Tony Yeboah!!
Max Gradel
Rui Marques
Davide Somma
Alfe Inge Haaland
Gunnar Halle
Casper Akergran

Anyone remember former youth player of the year destined for greatness that just never happened Tommy Knarvik. Had to google to see what happened to him. Norwegian league journeyman for a few years, still playing.

With the Supporters club from Norway coming over to Elland Road recently and our regular friendlies up there it would be good to see some talented players come to Elland Road again. Austin is a prime example of quality players plying their trade up that neck of the woods. Surely there is some more low price, high quality gems to be unearthed.

Diouf has signed an 18 month contract til the end of 2013-14 season. It's on the OS. Good news. Maybe shows GFH are gonna put their money where their mouth is.

For the oldies amongst us... Any of you remember that advert for milk in the 80's where the little scouser (scouser) said to his mate "Ian Rush says if you don't drink milk, you'll only be good enough to play for Accrington Stanley!"...

Well I guess Paul Chewbacca didn't drink his milk then

Believable18 Unbelievable1

Accrington Stanley? Who are they?

I may have not have been around back then, but I know it!
