Gradel and snoddy will go, don't doubt it. Larry will end up with has beens like brown while bates lines his pockets. The ed may love bates but he has done nothing for Leeds.
Love Leeds hate bates {Ed001's Note - I would just like to point out that this ed has nothing but contempt for Bates. I dealt with him during his time at Bournemouth (which he destroyed) and again at Chelsea (which he also destroyed). His ego is immense and everything he does is about feeding that, if it hadn't been for Matthew Harding's money at Chelsea there would have been no club for Roman to buy.}

Believable2 Unbelievable5

Can't believe some of the dross put on this site.
Ken Bates is the chairman end of story love him or hate him.
I for one like the way he speaks his mind and calls the shots, he's a buisness man its his money that saved us.
Not these fake sheiks that were popping up in the papers every day.
Be glad we've still got a Leeds to love and follow.
This is our season, we are Leeds forever no-one has the fans we have.

A lot of people quick to diss the return of the so called old squad. I for one would welcome the return of smith, he did what he did for the club at that time when oleary, risdale and co were breaking the mighty whites. In the same breath I believe uncle ken and parry are doing there best. Kens a business man and larry loves Leeds. Cmon Leeds were going up. It's finally our year. Let teams spend big. We have the spirit. MOT...........sooty

Believable7 Unbelievable8

Well said m8 come on leeds . where gunna stay with u for ever ups and downs and all that come on smudger help us out

Agree5 Disagree7

MOT :) Maybe I should give Smithy his signed boots back he might start scoring again hahaha I'm joking. Still feeling a bit weird and suspicious about it tbh not sure its real.....

Agree2 Disagree5

Its not his scoring boots Smith wants back, its a shovel, hes more chance hitting a cows arse with it than scoring a goal.

Agree7 Disagree2

Boots hahahaha I knew people were obsessed but Oh my word
Do you sniff them at night
mmmmmm toe cheese

Agree4 Disagree0

Leeds need to sign a goalie asap all this smith stuff has deflected from the fact our defence is a joke mot

Unless you have all forgotten, Max was sent off for stamping at the end of the League 1 season, and Grayson has stuck by Gradel, and Gradel has gone on to have a great season, hence the Player of the Year award?

Gradel won't be going anywhere, he knows the fans and players and management are behind him 100%

Only if a bid of 10 million plus comes in, should we even start to listen...?

players like Grade are our future, along with Snoddy, Bechio, and the youngsters coming up this year...

I am looking for a good price on Leeds being promoted this year, and will be putting my winnings from Leeds getting the double header of Division 2 promotion and division 1 champions the following season on it, quite a tidy sum.... MOT

I for one would welcome Smith back with open arms, and for anyone who has a problem with that, all I would say is that he didn't ask to leave, he never made any unreasonable demands on the club and he was 100% loyal?

Just maybe he could incite the belief into the other players that we ARE a great club and its only a matter of time before we get back where we belong?

I watched Smith play on several occassions, and it bought tears to my eyes to see him go, these tears contrast with the total and utter hatred I feel for Ridsdale, and the fact he has now picked on Plymouth to rip the ar*e out of, obviously sanctioned by the FA to do so.

I still remember Ridsdale being outraged by so many Leeds fans balling him out, and how he stated he was 'Leeds' through and through.

So just remember the person who forced Smith to leave Leeds, and don't blame Smith for being on the receiving end...

Believable6 Unbelievable8

Yeah slimy Krasner who really character assassinated him when Smithy gave his all and he just crushed us.....Ridsdale urgh dont get me started on him How the heck hes still in business I'll never know

Agree3 Disagree5

If Smith was any good he would have been snapped up by now, he cant bring anything to the club that isnt already there, most Leeds fans are 100% Leeds but you wouldnt stick a pair of boots on them, give me talent anyday over graft, theres much better players than him still on the market.

Ken Bates is quoted as saying, "None of our best players will be sold unless its for a ridiculous amount of money, enabling Simon to make other signings", In other words, the aforementioned ridiculous sum in Bates hip pocket, and a flurry of more loan or free signings, to all the w**kers who think selling Gradel and funding Smiths wages with it is sheer lunacy, selling arguably our best player for one on his last legs would send a clear message out of our total lack of ambition, the nucleus of a side capable of challenging for promotion is already there, 2 or 3 astute signings and watch us go.

Ha i got people saying west ham have offered 1.5 mil to 4mil lol if snodgrass got an 8mil price tag on him gradel should have a 15mil price tag.

If it was a case of loosing Max 2 get Smith it's a really bad idea. He (Max) has shown he can b 1 to build a team around and Grayson should resign if this is forced thru by uncle (trust in me) ken. Don't trust the man he will destroy our club if we let him

Believable7 Unbelievable1

I dont think that at all I strangely feel confident that Max will stay

13 Jul 2011 16:00:45
Ladies please stop worrying, unless the bid for gradle is ludicrous then Leeds won't be selling him, have some faith in the people that run the club Max will not be valued much behind snoddy. I reckon 7 mil And max wants to stay at Leeds, that's why deal is taking time because SG is more worried about getting pre season and other signing sorted and know max will wait MOT

I'm sick and tired of seeing the whingers on here moan about who we shouldn't sign - we shouldn't sign players from teams we don't like , we shouldn't sign players who are too old , we shouldn't sign players who once left us , we shouldn't sign free agents , we shouldn't sign players cos they want too much money and are greedy , we shouldn't sign players cos they don't understand what Leeds are about and would have no passion - all of these excuses have been on here recently and it's a bit sad - what about supporting our manager and team for a change and stop all the stupid comments - we are Leeds , let's act like it and give whoever plays the chance to impress

give smithy a break the boy wants to come home, he doesnt want to devide the fans but when hes crunching in them takles again we will all be singing his name again..... and you know it......

Believable4 Unbelievable13

Dream on. Keep staring at your Alan Smith posters because that's the closest you'll come to seeing him play for Leeds again. He's past it.

Exactly that really shows what hes about, whos gonna pay his wages come the end of our season? Whats gonna happen when he's out injured and we have no cover? What happens if he's gash? What about fighting on the terraces? What consequences will this have on Grayson if he doesnt perform? What about the other playsers in the dressing room that will get their noses pushed out by a prem ego returning? What about all the players we let slip because we 'couldnt afford their wages'? What about the young talents we could have fetched in on such ludicrous wages for one mediocre has-been? Your interests should be about whats best for leeds utd and its future, not whether or not Smith will GRACE us with his presence now hes past it and whther or not you get a glimps of him shirtless...

Agree12 Disagree1

Alan Smith posters
Probably...

Agree10 Disagree0

Im sure he wont give a rats arse about dividing fans, he didnt care when he s**t on every single one of them and claimed he knew what repecussions their would be, so let him lie in the bed the bigheaded pr*ck made
as long as hes collecting his unjustified wages he wont care if we beat each other black and blue. if you think hes moving back for any other reason than to be near his family your seriously mistaken

Agree10 Disagree1

Past it, he is 4 years younger than our latest signing Also your giving a what if he gets injured blah blah blah, what if he don't, what if come the end of the season he is the player of the year, what if he scored the goal that gets us promoted. A lot of what ifs, IF SG signs him I'm sure it will be on Leeds terms and whats best for Leeds. So let's wait and see

lol dream scenario how bloody likely is that to happen grow up girl or get a boyfriend rather than obsessing itll be smith

Agree6 Disagree4

Thick much?
He's INJURY PRONE
the likeliness is very high
as for being past it, who was referring to his age numb nuts? I said hasbeen because he has got it in his legs anymore, and two seriosu injuries have seen to that. Player of the year, over people that have ran their bollocks of for leeds when we were at our depth? Your not a very lyal fan are you As for Scoring a promotion goal lol When was the last time he scored? Even other defenders have a better scoring record then smith and they werent originally strikers lol Yours are less likely ifs then the FACTS of his record As for SG 2/3 signings dont live up to expectations so I dont think EVERYONE simon signs is a winner darling.

Agree8 Disagree1

What if he scored the goal that gets us promoted>>>>>> I dont think Ive ever laughed so hard :D
Some people need to support leeds and not drool over an ex-player that is not returning. If you love him that much go follow him at another club when Newcastle bin him

Agree7 Disagree0

1 besotted fan fighting a lost cause

Agree9 Disagree0

If smith does end up signing then we should get behind him. personally I wouldn't have him anywhere near elland rd. because i don' think he is good enough; however if he does sign and we are paying him £15k a week then he will be the first name on the teamsheet and we had better hope and pray that he has improved immensely

Agree2 Disagree6

Smith never asked to leave Leeds and he has done whats best for him since we effectively through him out of the team.

I would welcome him back straight away, at least he has guts and believes in Leeds which is more than most of the idots and sceptics on here have...

Leeds for 40 years now and totally proud of it.....

Does anyone think watt is really that good is good as a impact player but his passing is poor and losses the ball regular. We already have three good wide men gradel snodds and sam think a decent keeper on a long term deal would be better and a cb as worried paddy may not be the same player and may needs more time

Believable1 Unbelievable3

Played a blinder against millwall and Scunthorpe last season. Needed more of z chance than was given. Often ended up as a winger or a striker. More suited to attacking midfield. Be worth a punt...

Guys I agree that we may not have the strongest squad in the league, thats the negativity over with

On a positive note what we do have without question is the most vociferous and devoted fanbase in football. We travel to away games in our thousands taking over grounds up and down the land. At home we continue to support our club no matter what. How many other teams in the Championship will average 28000 a game when we are paying top whack for tickets, none

We need to turn ER back into an intimidating place for visiting teams and fans alike to come to, just as we did in 89/90 as Sgt Wilkos Barmy Army when we won the 2nd Division.

We all love Leeds so as a collective lets get behind the team, if it includes Brown, Smudger or Watt no matter, they are playing for our beloved Leeds United, so lets make ER a fortress again.

Believable6 Unbelievable1

Any intimidating atmosphere you create will quikcly be dispelled when rival teams look at your team sheet. Expect to hear laughing from the away dressing room all season

Agree1 Disagree3

And you follow which mickey mouse club?

Agree0 Disagree1

If it includes Brown, Smudger or Watt no matter......
So we support Seth Johnson then?
Or 11 binmen?
Im sick of reading these comments about not caring who we sign, not EVERYONE is right for Leeds Utd.

Muppet there will be no away teams laughing at our place.....

Ive been watching oddschecker.com for some time
Smithy was 1.5 with skybet and its now been reduced this morning to 1.2
Bookies rarely get it wrong
Looks like he prepared to take the pay cut after all

Believable0 Unbelievable9

Think you will find it has been reduced from 1:2 to 1:5 not the other way round, other wise it would be an INCREASE

Sorry but he's not coming.

Agree0 Disagree4

At the end of the day, if he signs he'll have to treated the same as everyone else. If he plays well then good, if not we release him after a short term contract. But the odds getting more likely was to do with twitter, not because there's truth in it

i dont like Smith and dont want him anywhere near Leeds but if he is fit he is exactly what we need

Believable3 Unbelievable6

Who's goona pay his 45k+ wages at the end of the season.

And what IF he gets injured.

Your all thinking about his return in a Roy of the Roversesque manner, its one scenario in hundreds

Agree7 Disagree0

Your all living in cloud cuckoo if you think that crock will last a full season

weigh up the negatives and positives, take the rose tinted hero worship glasses of or the hate scum bandwagon and you will still the negatives about his return far outweigh the positives. the positives are assumptions and what if's they arent as likely as a divide in the fans/dressing room etc

Agree6 Disagree0

He is exactly what we need>>>.Prove it He hasnt for the last 3 seasons
