In my opinion i would like to see us maybe sign one of these players in january andros townsend sammy clingan simeon jackson matthew killgallon eric lichaj

Believable14 Unbelievable0

Why not all of them, gradel and kasper money put to good use plus we were also playing more wages last season so must have money from that

Leeds to sign jason puncheon on loan in january from qpr with a view to a more longer term deal having missed out on the winger in the summer

Believable13 Unbelievable0

I thought he was only on loan at QPR?

Agree0 Disagree12

No chance, didnt want to come to us in August, chose to go to QPR at last minute, and has played loads for them (not) so dont think SG and KB will rushing to get him in

Agree1 Disagree12

So a professional footballer chose a premiership club over Leeds? Hardly a reason not to sign him if it hasn't worked out at QPR. Maybe SG and KB will take a grown up attitude, realise that his decision was career-based and not personal and think about signing him if he's available despite the terrible crime of choosing a premiership club in August. Contrary to the regular chant, we are not actually the 'Champions of Europe' and refusing to sign a good player because of what probably seemed a sensible career decision might just be a case of 'cutting our nose off to spite our face'. That would be clever...

Leeds to swap Ross McCormack with West Brom striker Simon Cox in the January transfer window, whille Andros Townsend is set to move to Elland Road for around £2,000,000. This fee will be paid with the money from Max Gradel's sale.

Believable1 Unbelievable9

Our beloved leader to spend 2 million on one player, your havin a laugh.

Agree9 Disagree0

Id rather cox.. A lot more consistant

Agree6 Disagree2

You gotta spend a million first before you spend two on a player. Last million pound signing half a decade ago.

Who does everybody think grayson should sign in january and i mean realistic signings not long shots

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Jamie Vardy, Matthew Kilgallon, Eric Lichaj, Sammy Clingan... Hopefully...

Agree4 Disagree1

No thanks to Kilgallon.

Can anyone tell me the last time killa played in a first team?

Anyone know if eric lichaj is still out injured just havent heard much since hope we can sign him again on loan then if not he would be worth taking a punt on whats everyone elses thoughts

Believable11 Unbelievable1

Back in light training, should be fit come mid-January, possible loan prospect

Agree2 Disagree0

Not a bad shout, Villa will probably want to send him out on loan to get him match fit again rather than sit in their reserves

leeds need players who want to play for the club and come out and say so like mccarthy and keogh just wish keogh could get a few goals under his belt

Believable7 Unbelievable0

Fair enough Keogh wants to play for us, many lesser players would. but is he really good enough?

Agree2 Disagree0

No he's not, he's far too slow and he can't finish either

Another transfer window is upon us,
no doubt Grayson will do his upmost
to sign more Dross, instead of quality
Also he will probably let McCormack go
for an undisclosed fee and buy Andy
"I don't score goals" Keogh. {Ed025's Note - have a day off mate!!...in the play off places, on a limited budget..what do you want??..

Believable4 Unbelievable4

This is my opinion and if i was current manager what i would do come jan

ins-gunther
mcgugan
chambers

i know all forest but they are going through a bad spell and may go cheap,

andros townsend
keough-perm
pugh-perm
o'dea-perm
mccarthy-perm

outs-

all the outs need to be permanently out the door

paynter
bruce
bromby
parker
o'brien

gimple should be given a chance as he is highly sought after by top prem clubs, maybe poleon too as he bangs em in for fun. we have a good squad and sg doesnt need to loan in players for the bench. last season bannan and livermore did nothing for us, if we make signings they should be perm, i know we have history for not spending but if bates is telling sg we have to go up for the fans then he needs to put up for the fans

Agree0 Disagree4

Danny clingan a chance or someone along them lines, Could do with a good anchor man to protect the back 4 coz they NEED protection, then johnny can push up with clayton, that's my opinion.

Agree1 Disagree2

To the 1st post, well said Ed, keep the faith, we arnt doing bad at all and we all hate losing. Lets make it a super whites xmas.
To the 2nd post, I agree with you outs, that Gunter is a dirty rat and I took a dislike after we draw at there place 1-1 last season. The other 2 I dont know. I dont rate Keogh, Odea either and Mcarthy will be too expensive. Townsend would be a great signing.
Im quite interested in that Clingan from Coventry as they are rock bottom! Lets get some strengh in depth.
In Grayson we trust.

MOT {Ed025's Note - please mind your language!!

Agree1 Disagree1

O'dea seriously?? looks soft and lacking confidence! but i agree with lewis mcgugan, andros townsend and chambers also i know its been touted about already but i think sammy clingan is exactly what were missing plus a right back! and getting mccarthy for another month is a good move!

Agree1 Disagree0

I ment Sammy before someone corrects me

Agree1 Disagree0

Got a feeling we will be all seriously underhwhelmed again come end of Jan, will hear the usual noises about that we were in for players etc but our squad is strong enough, and we also have the loan market etc etc

Agree0 Disagree0

Frazer Richardson - Playing well for Southampton and was the best RB since Kelly

Just a thought but when will some Leeds fans stop banging on about ,"just be glad were here and still a football club"and actually want a bit more than that? another 4 or 5 years,in the championship ?

Believable3 Unbelievable3

If it means we're financially secure then yes. I want the club to be promoted but i want it to be in a debt free way so if it means going slow, ie taking 4 or 5 years then so be it

Agree3 Disagree1

I'm struggling to understand what you're trying to say???

Agree3 Disagree3

I'm struggling to understand why you are struggling to understand. I thought he was quite clear.

Agree2 Disagree0

How long have most of the other clubs in the league been trying to get up? It's so tight it may take a few years, we all want premiership football again just might have to wait abit, I'm just been realistic

Would you allow Wolves to buy Mcormack in Jan and give Keogh plus cash for him?
If im honest I think Keogh started ok but has faded and I dont want another loan signing that has a good spell on loan turning into a nightmare as a full time Leeds Utd player. Becchio is better than him and scores more goals and is a good assett for the defence on corners etc.
I dont want Mcormack to leave, but if he goes for a few million SG needs to look at players like Simon cox, Church from Reading or Butterfield from Barnsley. There will be many more options, but we need a striker with a bit of pace. What are your thoughts? I read the deal could take place in Jan on SSN in the article where Keogh wants to stay!

MOT

Believable3 Unbelievable3

I agree with your views 100% what about Keith Andrews hes available on a free and scored 7 goals for Ipswich from Midfield Gj

Agree4 Disagree1

Depends on why we ould be selling. If it was just to secure Keogh then no, those deals should be thought of seperately of each other to benefit us I think, not using Mccormack as a makeweight to get a player who is already playing for us. If, however we can get decent money for mac that is invested in the team, and he is not going to be first choice anymore, ie if we are going to stick to 451 formation it doesn't suit Mccormack and never will because he is too lightweight for it, than maybe if the money is right to benefit the greater squad/team than it may be worth selling. I don't think january is the best time to be doing this though, because it's harder to sign players in this transfer window.

Agree3 Disagree0

I would never have Keith Andrews at our club after he rejected us and went to Ipswich!

Agree4 Disagree3

I would have Keith Andrews in a flash. He is just a professional player who made a decision in the summer he thought was best for his career, same as nearly all players. It hasn't worked out as Ipswich are struggling, but its hardly a hanging offence.

Agree3 Disagree0

Why not get Kightly in from Wolves if they want Ross badly.? Keith Andrews all day for me

Agree3 Disagree0

Ideal scenario is a swap plus cash involving McCormack and Michael Kightly with the loan or buying of Andrews or Clingan as well as Lichaj. Team to be:
Lonergan
Lichaj Lees O'Dea White
Andrews/Clingan
Snodgrass Clayton Kightly
Howson
Becchio
Subs: McCarthy, Kisnorbo, Pugh, Nunez; Somma

Agree5 Disagree0

13 Dec 2011 10:38:58
any thoughts on the line up against reading?

here's my idea:

GK Lonergan
RB Connolly
CB Lees
CB O Dea
LB Pugh
CM Clayton
CM Varynen
RW Snodgrass
AM McCormack
LW White
FC Becchio

SUBS Taylor Kisnorbo Sam Nunez Keogh

what's everyones views? AL

Believable9 Unbelievable1

Don't think mccormack should be in midfield, would make it too much a 442. Think it's either one or the other play the 451 with actual midfielders, eg Nunez given a run out as AM, or go for the full on 442 with the started line up suggested here.

What is the position with Andy O'B? We were told a while ago that the club would consider their options before taking a decision. It's all gone quite now. Is he getting paid? As far as I can see he has said he doesn't want to play for Leeds and therefore made himself unavailable for selection. KB he said that he considered that by his actions he effectively 'resigned'. I think the club are having to be careful as OB may have threatened legal action PFA involvement. Suprised he did not leave on loan with a view to a permanent in Jan.

Believable6 Unbelievable0

There is probably a deal done to sell, but have to wait until the transfer window opens.

Andy Keogh wants to stay....

''Andy Keogh has pinned his colours firmly to the Leeds United mast – and admits he would love to join the club full-time next month.

The future of the Wolverhampton Wanderers striker is set to come under the microscope shortly with his loan spell ending on January 2.''

Has he been god enough to sign permanently? Is he potentially a Prem player? Don't we have enough strikers with Somma due to come back?

AGREE if you think we should sign him

DISAGREE If you think we should NOT sign him.

Source; YEP

Believable9 Unbelievable12

Ppl going on about his goal ratio etc, if we play 451 he can play 4 diff positions, always good to have that sorta versatility in your team.

Agree7 Disagree1

Keogh would play in goal if you asked him. Just the sort of player we need. Bit like Pugh in the fact he would play anywhere he was asked

Agree7 Disagree0

A great back up if others are not fit but I don't feel he should be a starter if we want to get promoted

Agree2 Disagree0

13 Dec 2011 04:19:25
cant wait till we get promoted under Graysons leadership, even if we do, dont think itll stop the rose-tinted glasses man (think he should try invent some) and the anti-grayson overly expectant crew
