Good performance tonight, strong defensive display and we have that skill to snatch goals. These are the tough games that we need to win through in and we did. Not much time to regroup before Saturday but we might find that game suits our style more. At least another two players booked for fouling Saiz tonight, that will help us throughout the season. Alioski a bit off the pace tonight, obviously felt his international games. Nice to see him ripping up Milleall on Saturday. Good to see that Cardiff bubble burst a bit tonight as well. Well done to the team and TC, cracking start to the season and as Pontus would say, another brick in the wall!

Moment to savour tonight! So pleased for Stuart Dallas, once again great management to extend his deal and for TC to manage him so effectively. Our bench is so much stronger than last year, and so is everything else. MOT

Tough test for the boys tonight. Listened to the game on local Birmingham radio wm. such a biais commentary had to check the score on my phone to see who had won. Presenter criticised Leeds for continuing to play out from the back and not get the keeper to hoof it up front. Says a lot As to why Birmingham are in the bottom 3 and we are top, just love the Leeds haters. MOT.

If you have Sky Q and you go onto favourite teams on the Sky Active, the league table changes as the goals go in and at the moment Leeds are top, and to be very honest we really suit being there, it just looks right, no other way of describing it really, I don't think any other club in the league looks as good on top spot as Leeds United do. For the sake of looking good on the eye I think it would be best if we stay there! 👌👍MOT

Time to put my tin hat on, but I'm concerned about tonight. Everyone is banging on about how good we are at the moment and all the pundits are saying tonight is a foregone conclusion and a cake walk, but wiley old 'Arry will be desperate to put one over on us and will use that for his team talk. They'll come out fighting and will try and stifle our attacking play and hit us on the break. We'll need to be patient tonight and despite the fact that they've had a few bad results recently, I expect them to give us a stern test at ER. Any win will do for me 1-0 is my prediction. Hope I'm well and truly wrong and we hammer them but can't see it though. This will be a good test of how TC can change a game when needed. MM

I agree with your analysis MM which is why set-pieces and Lasogga are important. I'm sure someone has tipped off TC how wily and slippery Ole 'Arry can be so team selection may partly reflect this. Personally, I can see goalless at half-time then goals after the break. 2-0 victory sounds good to me.

I think we should adopt the standard coach speak on this one and " take each game at a time"! Let's not worry about being top of the table or going unbeaten just about what we need to do to beat Birmingham. It was interesting to see the difference between Preston and Fulham and then the Burton game. Burton allowed us to play and couldn't find a way of stopping us and couldn't really take the pressure off by attacking, that gave Anita and Ayling the chance to join the attack and made it worse for Burton. Would imagine Brum will have more steel and more attacking threat so a new challenge to master. Teams are going to be setting up to stop our creativity more as well. It's really exciting because we have a team, squad and manager who can respond to different situations. Let's enjoy it and try to win each game and then worry about where that's taken us later. Good luck tonight .

Spanish, I agree we have to not get too carried away with we going to win the league and consentrate on one game at a time. We are going to get a few results that don't go our way during the season, we are a good team and need to stay amonst the pacesetters. As a Midlands based Leeds fan I want us to smash the Brummy bluenoses as I live around them, they can be a difficult team to play at times so I hope they continue on their present form, at least today! So kick me in the nuts lads But it has been mainly lower league tosh so far. Think we will be top by saturday but sterner tests to come. Not guaranteed to go through season unbeaten. One step at a time!

Believable2 Unbelievable0

12 Sep 2017 03:40:56
You are correct. The result have been good but optimism must be tempered when we reflect on where the teams we have so far played lie on the ladder. Or . maybe once you've played Leeds that's simply where you end up

12 Sep 2017 03:59:41
What the hell Ausman1, lower league tosh! Are you having a laugh? Fulham, play offs, last season, Forest away who were unbeaten, Sunderland, ex Prem away! Those three were also ahead of us in the betting! And who said anything about us going through the season unbeaten?, bloody hell mate we are only on match 7, I think we are playing fantastic but you would have to go some to be invincible in this league, and then you say one step at a time! Ausman1 your posts are usually spot on what happened with this one, have got sunstroke? One thing I do agree on is top of the league after tonight and Birmingham have a few out so as we may concede one we will score a few, the lads are buzzing, full of confidence so I'd be shocked if we didn't win! So come on Aussie! MOT

Team and score predictions for tomorrow please gents? 2-0 for me, lassoga and saiz with the goals. Starting 11 I think will be wiedewald, ayling, jansson, coops, CBJ (rest Anita) Phillips, Okane, alioski, saiz, Dallas, lassoga. I'd rest Hernandez and roofe based on the amount of time they've had over the other two recently, Hernandez can come on for saiz if he's looking tired, or Dallas if he's not performing, likewise roofe can change things on the right or up top. Alioski was rested as I think Christiansen new that this was a harder opposition. CBJ will be whipping them in I can feel it, back stick and headed goals will be likely IMO with them playing 3 At the back. I think tomorrow will be a much more reserved and ruthless performance with a very much 'job done' feel about it, not a classy Winn but a win.

I'd go for no changes to starting 11 last Saturday . Then bring in Alioski for Pablo on Saturday at Millwall. 3-0

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Sep 2017 16:17:38
Really difficult to call the team tonight, might depend on how Pablo felt after Saturday, he might be old and wise enough to fancy a rest, I should imagine that Roofe will want to stay on the pitch, given his scoring form. Also Lasogga might have too dash home at the last minute, something in the oven! We might see Kilch getting a start soon as well, as both Phillips and OKane are putting in some shifts. A win for us, tougher challenge and possibly a brum goal, 3/1.
