So SG & KB have had all summer to sort out our leaking defence and what do they do? Bring in another two keepers which we didn't actually need KS was very good. SH would have gone regardless. And the fetch in an OAP for midfield. Only money spent on one keeper. Come on why is it that everyone apart from KB & SG can see the defence needs improving.

hey guys what part of the defence do you think is weak i cant put my finger on it? i love kisnorbo who is great in the air but the ball seems to get past the middle easy for me so as much as i like him id say him who you think?
Combination of no pace and not being dominant enough in the air.

who do you start upfront against bristol city? mc cormack scoring for fun at moment with keogh, or play him with the mighty becchio or with forsell ouch what a choice, id say mc cormack and becchio
I agree but Becchio isnt fully fit yet so I think it will be Ross and Keogh.
More worried about our defence,its enough to give anyone a sleepless night.
I'd rather ross and forsell than keogh really until becchio fully fit

Becchio is a long way off starting a game, definitely Keogh still, though I'd like to see Forsell come on at half time if it isn't happening for us
Agree with the post above, sensible. When everyone fit will be Becchio and Ross, but i think Forssell has a chance to make himself a starter, but an impact sub to begin with. Becchio to be eased back, from the bench at first.

Fellas as simon said himself we were poor but we got the points, and that's the main thing, so far this year 2 of our 3 losses we were the better team, and walked away with nothing, the game against west ham, we should have had all 3 there and were unlucky to draw, it's the rub of the green, the bit of luck we needed. Now let's get behind the lads sing for Leeds and march up the table!

Tell you what i'll play for Simon Grayson if hes having trouble getting signings. I am however doing a law degree in huddersfield this season so i might not be able to train as much.
My attributes are: 18 year old striker can also play across the midfield as well both attack and sitting
1) I can pass short balls i never look long
2) I don't pass back to the defence i play my way out of trouble
3) I love leeds and would give 1000% every game
4) I can score for fun against anyone (i have medals)
5) slightly slow at turning everything else good
6) i can play on either foot - have great skill - 6ft 5 inch - arially strong and have the pace of Jermaine beckford. (sort of a faster,taller mark viduka)
7) i am going to play for the university otherwise and try out for huddersfield when i get more settled

Also forgot to mention:
8) i can run in a match for 4 or 5 hours solid on a largish pitch - i do so every Sunday (sometimes practice through week) so stamina and match fitness isn't a problem
give me 3 matches in the first team and i'll show you what i can do - i'll even play them for nothing other than my bus fare or petrol money

I played for premiership team youth academy but quit years ago to go on to study hard (parents didn't feel it was a solid career path) - I played at school and the teachers told me i should definitely try professional - I can actually play all positions (inc. GK) it's just a preference being a striker and i really am going to trial for Huddersfield and Bradford next season just want to get my 1st year of degree done first. ( I was a touted future 'England' player way back when (good enough for you now) ) {Ed025's Note - under 12,s...lol

To the True fans of Leeds United i salute you! However, i really do find some of the negative attitudes of so called Leeds fans on here very upsetting. How dare some of you call yourselves true Leeds United supporters. If other teams supporters saw your negative posts on here it would be embarrassing. Some of the posts by so called Leeds fans show a distinct lack of knowledge of Football and the business of running a football club. Thick, would be a good way to describe some. I believe we have a better squad than last season and it will improve. SG is working hard behind the scenes. Be positive and support your team through good times and bad.
We do support our team Ken - but when there is an obvious problem like our poor defence we would like it sorted out

While some of us have the choice not to spend £4:50 on a programme to read about how you saved Leeds united once, twice, three times or however many times you want to remind us, we would appreciate it if you didn't invade our personal space on this website.
A true fan is someone like ourselves who pay the extortionate ticket prices you deem "appropriate" regardless of what goes on at the club or pitch. That price gives me a god damn right to moan regardless, and believe me there is plenty to moan at. I haven't been to a game yet, home or away, where I haven't encountered a season ticket holder with a gripe or moan about what's going on at the club and on
the pitch. That's a lot of morons and not very true Leeds fans, but hey, who needs true Leeds fans when they have already paid the £600 for a season ticket, £35 for match ticket, plus extortionate coach travel (£20 coach to Doncaster).
I welcome you Ken, in fact I lobby you to hold a competition to find this true Leeds fan and I will shake him by the hand!! In fact perhaps we should put his picture on the new east stand development! A true shining light to us all, showing us what we as "morons" should inspire to be like. A little bit like the Billy statue is an example of the type of player we expect to pull on the shirt.

Nice letter though. I am a season ticket holder and a moron! I believe on match days we should stop being negative and support the players. Any negativity should be addressed to Bates via letters etc. I am as fed up as everyone with this shocking defence and yesturday showed how much we miss Clayton already! The positive factor is we played crap, but won. Happy days, support the lads, negatives to Bates alone.

Totally agree about defence and it's a poor state of affairs that were already heavily relying on a young midfielder to stay fit. Mcormack was easily the star man yesterday and I noted his frustration at the complete lack of support by the midfield. Nunez looked lost and brown invisible.
I am a season ticket holder, but sadly a person and not a true Leeds fan! We won yes, but were a long way off!

I wrote the original post, not Ken Bates. My point is that i am sick of the negative comments on here, many of which are totally unfounded. I will form my opinion of the team at the end of a long season and i suggest you do the same. Be positive
