I for one can't understand why brown gets so much stick from our fans. Every time he plays he gives 100% and puts a good solid shift in. Did any one notice how many 50-50 balls he won on Saturday? Most is the answer. He doesn't shirk them. Ok gets booked a lot
but so did Billy and Norman. And no one complained about them! Remember spurs in cup last season? Brown was arguably the man of the match. Put the fear of god into the spurs midfield and do U ever hear him complain or moan about not getting selected? Of course not. Unlike some I could mention. So come on everybody. Give the guy a break. He plays for the shirt!

I agree brown may not be everyone's fav player but a good solid pro! no fancy tricks what u see is what you get solid and commited mot nickybee

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

Would never question Brown's commitment or enthusiasm to do well for Leeds Utd. There will be games that suit him to play in like Saturday but for the majority of games we will have players who are better than him. Trust BM to judge when to use him but would expect to be very limited appearances. He is currently worth a place in the squad but not a regular in the starting line up by any means for me!

Agree0 Disagree0

I think he was slated ( by me as well admittedly) because it was quite depressing to see when warnock was in charge. The hoof ball, constant bookings fouls etc
I think we need him and Pugh to grind out results against the teams like charlton, yeovil, milwall etc. they get stuck in and put in a good shift

Agree0 Disagree0

Against more skilled midfields or better opposition he's the man and i'm a man united fan

Agree0 Disagree0

Quite right. He does shut down opposition and get in their faces

I didn't see the game on Saturday and therefore I am interested to know how Pugh performed. If he did well is it inconceivable that he keeps the LWB slot and Warnock pushes into the LHS of the 3 man defence? Back 5: LWB - Pugh, CB - Warnock, CB - Zaliukas, CB - Pearce/Peltier/Wootton/Lees, RWB - Byram. and no I am not playing 4 players in the same slot (although it might tighten up our defence!), I just think that Lees constantly makes the same mistakes, Wootton has been a bit hit and miss and Pearce (despite improvement from last year) still suffers from indifferent positional sense and a lack of pace.

OK, Lees has made a number of mistakes (2nd Charlton goal an example, along with Peltier and Brown) but he's also been responsible for some excellent tackles and headed clearances off the line. I think Pearce has played superbly, yet he is slated for his lack of pace rather than applauded for his brave, head in where no one else will go approach, which I think is unfair.

Answering your question, Pugh was phenomenal, especially given that he's been out in the cold this season. I'm not a fan but credit where it's due, so too with Brown, who was excellent. Not sure about your proposed formation Notts White. I wouldn't play Warnock at CB and Zaliukas, whilst looking calm and assured most of the time, needs to win a start place from Lees or Wootton, not just given one.

Agree0 Disagree0

Some good points 2nd poster but you must concede that the current defensive mix is not firing on all cylinders. I would suggest that those holding the current positions earn the right to keep them by keeping clean sheets. I agree lees does good things but the mistakes he makes are from a lapse in concentration and this has been the case since he made the first team.

Will Leeds spend the money the fans got promised I'm fed up being a championship team!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

We're one point off the play offs ffs! BMac will bring in players he feel will make a difference to the squad. I for one am impressed by his transfer acumen and his policy of blending youth with experience. Smith blackstock murphy and wooton have been good signings IMO zaluakis hasn't played enough to be judged and hunt hasn't really got going but to be fair he didn't have the right strike partner

Agree0 Disagree0

If Leeds are in a promotion challenging position come Jan then expect BM will be allowed to spend to bolster squad. However he will not spend huge amounts because he won't need to. If the current squad have got us in challenging position then they should be allowed to see through. As BM predicted, they are improving all the time. How good is BM too?! Saw problem in 1st half and not only resolved it by restricting their full backs but enabled us to score 3 times as well! He doesn't stick to formations. He adapts as necessary.Spot on Brian!

Agree0 Disagree0

Would love to know when we was promised money to spend think you need to start living in the real world mate we don't have much money if you want the club to spend money then how about fans like you put some money into the coffers no excuses get your tickets bought for boro.

Saw wooton limping for 20 mins but didn't sub him until it cost us a goal?

Agree0 Disagree0

Wootton didn't want to go of nothing mcdermott can do about that really if he says he's ok to continue then what else can the manager do

Agree0 Disagree0

What can a manager do about it? How about manage. If he wanted to he would take him off whether the player wanted to come off or not.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not as easy has you make out there guessing your going by what you heard on a radio I was there saturday and could see with my own eyes that wootton wanted to play on for a bit longer wether he is injured or not I for one like to see that from players show they care and wear the shirt with pride mot

Agree0 Disagree0

Unfortunately was at work Saturday, I wasn't commenting on Wootton's injury but the comment about "what can a manager do". I like Wootton and I think BMD is best manager we have had for years he knows what he's doing, so in him I trust. But he can do what he likes, players don't dictate here, its not chelski ;)

Agree0 Disagree0

Thats where your wrong i'm afraid we are in modern day football where footballers can pretty much do what they want it happens at most clubs now a days players will refuse to leave the pitch you seem to make out like this is the first time its happened at are club

Agree0 Disagree0

Nobody said owt about not trusting mcdermott he is by far and away the best manager we have had in over a decade and with the right sort of backing he will get us back to where we all want to be bring on the boro.

Football is a money making business 90% of players will move to make more money - no different to any other job! Loyalty is as good as the next wage packet! Batty, smith, snodgrass etc all went for a price! The only glimmer of any loyalty I have seen was from McCormack but that was once we bumped up his wages! All clubs these days are only as good as their over inflated wage bill! Nothing you don't know and as much as I love leeds, times have changed and we are slaves to the sponsors and owners!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

SUrely Lucas Radebe is loyal

Agree0 Disagree0

Batty never wanted to leave Leeds, he was happy to stay here for life. He was sold to Blackburn because Wilkinson thought that 2M was a lot of money then, and thought he could play Speed in the central role alonside Gary Mac.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think the Chief grew up in a different world to today's prima donna types. He appreciated what a lucky man he was being paid extremely well to play the sport we all love. He re-paid us with loyalty when he could have moved on to line his pockets. People like him will be remembered for years to come for their loyalty not only by us but by opposing fans who appreciate what he was all about. On the flip side you get the Joey Bartons of this world who are not fit to lace the boots of the likes of Lucas.

Rossco has already said on twitter he isn't on anymore money than before.
